Raised From The Wild-Chapter 173: Accident
"There is nothing fun about riding a carousel. It is not even half as fun as riding a real horse." Amaya complained.
Marx chuckled. "Maybe it is because we are old and this stuff is for small children."
The carousel was still in motion but Amaya got off from the horse. Marx also got off from his horse and assisted Amaya.
Amaya looked at the little boy who wanted her horse earlier. "You want this horse?" The little boy nodded.
Amaya, lifted the boy and put her on the horse. The boy laughed happily. The father who was angry earlier and wanted to teach Marx a lesson was smiling and thanked Amaya. Only then, did he realize who the woman was.
"Princess Amaya, it is you!" The father’s voice trembled. He was glad that he has not carried out his plan of teaching Marx a lesson by tripping him the moment he got off from the horse. Wouldn’t he invite trouble for himself.
"There is no need for you to offer the horse, Princess. My son is fine with his current horse." The father of the boy said hastily.
"It is okay, we will go to the carriage over there."
Because the carousel was still moving, Marx held Amaya by her waist and led her to a nearby carriage for couples. They sat side by side on the carriage. Marx pulled Amaya and let her head rest on his chest.
"This is how couples date." Marx whispered hoarsely. He ran his fingers through her hair as he immersed himself in her fragrance.
"I can hear your heart beating so fast. Amaya tilted her head and met Marx dark gaze.
"You make them beat wildly, Aya." Marx lowered his head and kissed her on her lips. He groaned. He placed his hand at the back of her head to deepen the kiss. The carousel stopped. It was time for them to come down.
After the carousel, Amaya was hungry. She saw a fast food restaurant that sell fried chicken. She dragged Marx into it.
"Why do you like, fried chicken so much when it is an unhealthy food."
"It tastes good. Don’t you like fried chicken and french fries?"
"When I was a child, I like it but I outgrow the taste."
Marx found a good table for them in a corner. It has a view of the sea. He let Amaya sat on the table and he went to the counter to queue. There were a few people lining at the counter. Two people approached Marx. One was his personal guard and the other one was Amaya’s royal guard.
"Boss, I’ll order for you. Just tell me your order and I will take it to your table." Valdez spoke softly so as not to attract attention.
Marx however gestured to him that it was okay. His bodyguard has no choice but to queue on the other line to buy his own meal. Who would have thought that the famous CEO of Skylar Corporation was having his lunch on a fast food restaurant.
A man wearing the uniform of the restaurant crew secretly took photos of Marx. After that, he busied himself cleaning the table.
When it was Marx’s turn to give his order, the waitress was dazed. She was blushing and she stammered when she asked what Marx’s order was.
Marx frowned. He repeated his orders impatiently.
"Sir, you might want to add dessert. Our chocolate sundae is our best seller. I am pretty sure that your girl friend will like it."
Marx thought for awhile and agreed to add it. He liked it when the girl referred to his companion as his girlfriend.
The cashier punched his orders and the total amount was 700. Marx handed her a black card.
The waitress was speechless. Why was he giving her a credit card?
"Sir, I am sorry but we don’t accept credit card." The waitress said regretfully.
Marx took out his wallet but found that he has no cash.
"Why don’t you accept credit card?"
The waitress was flustered. How would she know why the restaurant was not accepting credit card. She was just a lowly waitress!"
Marx stood there helpless for a while. Valdez noticed his predicament. He stepped forward and passed 1000 Lireyan dollar to the cashier. The woman took the bill and gave a change of 300 dollars. Valdez took the change and returned to his queue.
Marx took the tray and went to where Amaya was. He placed a plate of steamed rice and two pieces of fried chicken in front of her. He also gave her a side dish of veggies.
Amaya was delighted when she saw the fried chicken. Marx on the other hand just ordered hamburger and soda. Amaya did not stand in ceremony. She started eating her fried chicken. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Marx smiled as he watched her gobbled up the food. Unlike other women who maintained their best poise in front of him, Amaya was so carefree. She did not mind how she looked while having her lunch.
The waitress that served Marx earlier approached them and requested if she can take a photo. Marx wanted to say no but Amaya agreed. The waitress called a crew and asked him to take a photo.
The waitress stood beside Marx and smiled broadly at the camera. Marx was visibly irritated.
"You had your photo. Now, can you let us have our meal peacefully?" Marx said coldly. The waitress was scared by his fierce stare that she hurriedly left.
Amaya finished her chicken and started eating her chocolate sundae.
"You want ice cream?" Before Marx can decline, Amaya scooped the ice cream with the spoon and brought it to Marx’s mouth. The ice cream tasted sweet. It was even sweeter because Amaya fed him.
"Let me return the favor." Marx took the spoon from her, scooped a spoonful of ice cream and fed her.
After lunch, they decide to go to the ferris wheel. There were only five groups lining up.
"It is already after lunch but the people in the park seemed to have not increased. Did you do something?"
Marx grinned. "Actually, I asked someone to limit the number of people today. Only the first two hundred were allowed to enter."
"So that’s how it is."
"It will be difficult to line up for the rides of there are too many people." Marx explained.
Marx and Amaya entered the gondola and settled in it. The ferris wheel started to move in a slow pace. The main purpose was for the riders to enjoy the view.
"You must have been in the amusement park many times in the past Marx." Amaya faced Marx and asked in anticipation.
"To be honest, I had never been to an amusement park before."
"Are you serious?" Amaya widened her eyes. She could not believe that a rich kid like Marx has never been to an amusement park. She looked at Marx with pity on her eyes.
"On the other hand, that make today’s visit a first for both of us." Amaya said seriously.
Their gondola reached the top. Amaya moved closer to Marx. She took out her cell phone and took a selfie.
Marx casually placed his hand on Amaya’s slim waist. He also took out his cell phone and took his own photos.
Amaya did not noticed it earlier. The ferris wheel stopped when they were at the top.
"Is something wrong? The ferris wheel stopped. Is there an accident?" Amaya asked worriedly.
"It is alright. I asked to pause for ten minutea so we can look at the view."
Amaya smiled then she stood and took in the view before her. She has an obstructed view of the sea before her. For a moment she was brought back to the island of Miraga. She was standing on the highest peak of the mountain and her tall father waa standing beside her. She was five years old at that time and that was the first time that Ibrahim brought her there.
"It is very beautiful, Daddy." Amaya exclaimed happily.
Ibrahim patted her head. "In the future when you come here and you see a ship on the see, try to light a fire to attract the boat’s attention."
"Okay, Daddy! I’ll remember what you said." Amaya stretched out her hand. Ibrahim quickly understood what she wanted to do. He bent down and picked up Amaya then he twirled her around. Amaya laughed heartily. After three twirls, Ibrahim threw hia daughter up into the air. Amaya did a sommersault then she landed cleanly two meters from Ibrahim
"Beautiful! When did you perfectes doinf that?"
"I am practicing with Cirrus, Daddy. When I was riding from his back, he would often jump and threw me midair."
"What? He did that?" Ibrahim sounded horrible. He was really worried. What if Amaya broke a bone?
Amaya with her young heart understood what her father was worrying about. "Don’t worry Daddy, we are doing that at the river so when I fall, I landed on the water."
"AMAYA!" Marx’s anxious voice pulled Amaya back from her trance. She 1blinked and realized that she was already facing Marx and not the sea.
"Are you alright? You seemed to be in a daze?"
"I am fine, Marx. I just remembered somerhing from the past."
Marx paused and took out a boquet of roses from his back. He also took out a brocade box from under the seat and handed it to Amaya
Amaya opened the box and her eyes widened.
"You..."
