Raised From The Wild-Chapter 117: His Woman Was So Bold
Lilia and Clarissa were running toward her. Trailing behind them were Prince Donello and little Prince Yohan.
"Sister, are you alright? We heard the alarm and so we get out of our room and prepared to go to the secret tunnel but we were told that it was a false alarm and it was you." Donello said worriedly.
"I am alright Don. Go back inside."
Lilia approached the princess. She scanned her from head to toe and became elated when she saw that Amaya did not have any injury on her body.
"The Crown Prince and the King want you to be in the study right now," Lilia said in a voice akin to a whisper.
"I’ll escort you there, Princess."
Amaya nodded at Marx gratefully. What would her grandpa and uncle do to her?
"Greetings Your Majesty and His Highness." Marx did not wait for Amaya to speak but greeted the two highest leaders of Lireya.
Amaya also greeted the king and crown prince.
"Both of you, take a seat." King Duncan spoke to lighten the tension in the air.
When Marx and Amaya has taken a seat, Prince Ibarra pressed a button from the remote control and the scene at the gate appeared on the screen.
Amaya watched with full interest. The camera captured when the speed of the Bently increased and how it almost crashed into the gate.
"Isn’t that awesome? My calculation is relatively correct. The car stopped at the very spot I wanted it to." Amaya said proudly.
The crown prince was speechless.
Marx narrowed his eyes.
The king sighed.
"Amaya, what you did was totally out of line. Did you know that everyone in the palace panicked because we thought it was a terrorist attack?" Prince Ibarra raised his voice a bit as he was angry.
Amaya has gotten used to her Daddy Ibarra’s temperament. She no longer felt hurt or aggrieved whenever he scolded her. It was part of his training as the future King of Lireya.
"Dad, if everyone panicked then doesn’t that mean that preparation for such a scenario never happened and everyone in the palace is not ready should an actual event happen?" Amaya’s voice was as gentle as the early spring, but the hidden meaning behind her words struck a chord in the king’s and crown prince’s minds.
Marx’s lips trembled. His woman was so bold!
"The incident earlier proved that there are a lot of improvements and I can help with them." Amaya tried to divert her grandpa and father’s mind.
"I didn’t know that my granddaughter is very good with words. You almost made me forget what our original intention of calling you over is." King Duncan’s aura became overbearing and powerful.
Amaya looked down and waited for what her grandfather was about to say.
"Amaya, I agree with your father that what you did is very wrong. Don’t you know that the soldiers are ordered to do anything to thwart any threat to the palace? It is a good thing that the Black Bentley’s plate number was identified as owned by a dignitary. What if you were driving another car and you did that reckless action? I can’t imagine the outcome." King Duncan spoke very calmly but Marx was able to sense a tremor in his voice when he spoke the last sentence.
"If I may, Your Majesty, I was the one who allowed Amaya to drive. Her driving has greatly improved. We were traveling at a steady pace when we were still in the Capital. She increased speed the moment we entered Asteria’s private road. It was also too late for me when I told her to slow down and stop. She was not totally to be blamed. I also take responsibility." Marx was very polite and at the same remorseful. He really blamed himself for being lax while seated beside Amaya. He understood the consequences.
Marx shivered as what-if scenarios flashed in his mind. He did not continue to think.
Amaya looked at Marx with adoring eyes. He really cared for her and her heart skipped a bit.
"Grandpa, Dad, I am wrong. I will not do it again. I will be responsible when driving the car next time. It is because I just saw some drivers who drive the same way I did and I thought it was okay."
"Which people did you see?" Prince Ibarra asked apprehensively. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"It is from the Cup Series, Dad" Amaya’s voice was so soft that Ibarra almost missed it.
"What?"
"What?"
Prince Ibarra and Marx exclaimed at the same time. Amaya shrunk back. She felt that the reaction of the two people, one in front of her and the other at her side was scary. Did she do something terrible?
"You are not allowed to drive from now on! I will get back the car I gifted you and replace it with something else." Prince Ibarra was furios.
King Duncan, who was surprised at his son’s reaction was puzzled. He did not hear what Amaya said previously. "Isn’t that too harsh? Why are getting back what you have already given to her?"
"Father, do you know who is she trying to copy her driving style? It is from the car racers. She is watching the cup series."
King Duncan now understood why his son would make such a decision and he would support it.
"My granddaughter, you just came back to us. Do not place yourself on the line. Don’t you know that the top car racers in the world have all died in a car crash?" King Duncan spoke gently. "I agree with your father that you are not allowed to drive."
"Grandpa, Dad, I will never do it again. I now realized my mistake. Please don’t take my car away. Amaya said pitifully.
The two elder Rocas looked at Amaya who looked very pitiful. Who could say no to her when she looked like that? King Duncan looked at Ibarra with a ’handle her by yourself’ look.
"Okay, I will not get back your gift. However, you will have to complete 60 hours of seminar on responsible driving. You also need to compile the ending of the top car racers and report it to me."
Marx pursed his lips. How could Ibarra be so cruel to let Amaya do those things? But on second thought, Amaya should be thought a lesson.
