Chapter 114: Catching Fish

Dave was so excited he forgot about his reputation and shouted. "I caught a fish, finally!" He waved the spear in the air. He waved so excitedly while the fish kept on twisting on the spear until it finally escaped and flew into the water.

"Oh no... No, my fish! It took me a long time to catch you but why did you escape?" Dave pretended to cry sorrowfully.

Marx looked at him interestingly. He can’t help himself. He laughed.

Dave looked back because he thought he heard a strange sound. His eyes widened when he saw that Marx actually laughed.

Marx did not tarry anymore. He took big strides until he came to where Amaya was.

Earlier, when Amaya followed the stream, she noticed that there was a spot where the water was deeper and calmer. It was a perfect spot to bathe.

She removed her arm-guard, leggings her vest and the leather skirt. She folded them neatly and put them on top of a rock along with the towel.

Marx appeared behind her. "You found a good spot for bathing." Marx said in a good mood. "Can I join you?"

Amaya was speechless. ’Why does Marx wanted to stick with me?’

Amaya waded into the water and went to the deepest part. The water was up to her chest.

She went back to the bank. Marx has just taken off his shirt and was wearing a board shorts. Amaya focused on getting the pouch bag that contained a small bottle of body wash and shampoo. The ingredients were made from natural sources and were not harmful to the fish or the environment.

She was about to pour the shampoo in her palm when Marx took it from her. "Let me help you with this." He whispered in her ear.

Marx rubbed his palms together to make the shampoo lather, then she applied it on her hair. He massaged her scalp gently and run his fingers through her hair just like what he did last night.

"You can rinse it now." He said stiffly. His proximity to Amaya was killing him so he moved away in the pretext of taking a dip on the deeper part of the stream.

Not long after, they heard voices. Marx pursed his lips. He glanced at Amaya and he was contemplating if he will finish taking a bath or not.

The voices came nearer and nearer. Marx headed to the bank where his clothes were. At the moment that he get out of the water, Phoebe, Liza and Margaret appeared. They stopped on their track when they saw Marx,

Phoebe scanned Marx’s body. She marveled at the bronze strong chest. His arms were toned and she wanted to touch the six packs on his abs.

Marx glared at her and her two companions who were ogling him with passionate eyes like Phoebe did.

Marx’s gaze was so cold that Phoebe felt a chill run down her spine. She endured it and gave Marx her sweetest smile.

Amaya noticed how Phoebe, Liza and Margaret regarded Marx. Fortunately Marx put on his clothes as fast as he can.

"Amaya, that’s enough bathing. Come up and let’s have breakfast.

Amaya headed to the bank and used the towel to cover herself then she took off her wet clothes.

Phoebe has a mischievous look in her eyes. She approached Amaya and pretended to trip then she held unto the hem the towel covering her body.

The towel fell on the ground and Amaya’s beautiful body was exposed. She just wore her black sports shorts when Phoebe played her ticks on her.

What Phoebe did not anticipated was that Amaya was used to bathing without anything on her body. She has no reaction when the towel fell off. She did not panicked or fell troubled at all.

Liza and Margaret blushed when they saw Amaya’s body. Her light brown skin was not as fair as that of Phoebe, but it glowed like honey in the early morning sun.

Phoebe looked as well. Amaya’s waist was slim emphasizing her curvy hips and big bosom. She pursed her lips and stole a glance at Marx. Marx was walking toward Amaya and he quickly wrapped her naked body with his towel.

Amaya put on her clothes as fast as she could. She wore a black tee shirt and a faded denim.

Before Mark led Amaya away, he spoke to Phoebe. "I already warned you before not to target Amaya but you still do it."

"No Marx! It was an accident." Phoebe cried pitifully. She wanted to play the pitiful card but unfortunately. Marx did not spare her a glance.

When the couple were already out of earshot, Margaret discussed with Liza.

"Isn’t Amaya shameless? She was already naked and yet there was no reaction from her at all.

"Phoebe, I think Marx likes Amaya. I stole a glance from him and he was looking at Amaya like she is his most important treasure. A friendly advice, give up on Amaya." Liza turned to face Phoebe who was angry at her.

"Whose friend are you? How come you are defending her?" Phoebe asked Liza angrily.

"Of course, I’m your friend, that is why I am telling you what you should do. You wanted to harm Amaya by humiliating her, but she wasn’t. Instead you become even more envious and I think Marx liked her more because he saw how beautiful her body is."

"You...". Phoebe has no comeback on what Liza said. Liza was spot on.

"You guys, can you stop arguing? Let us take a bath so we can have our breakfast. "

The three women took off their clothes and just have their undergarments. They shivered when their bodies touched the water.

"The water is so cold." Phoebe shivered and her teeth were clattering.

After a few minutes, they came out of the water as they could not stand the cold.

"How come Amaya seemed to be enjoying the water and did not feel cold at all? Same with Marx." Margaret pondered.
