Chapter 101: Big Bath Tub

Marx and Amaya left the zoo with Dave tagging along.

"You caused quite a ruckus in the zoo. I suggest next time you visit, it should be early in the morning when the zoo is still close." Dave said while looking at his cell phone intently. He watched the different videos of Amaya playing with the tigers and the wolves.

"We will be moving the animals to the island very early on Saturday. I’ll pick you up at 5:00 am." Marx told her.

Amaya just hummed. She was looking out the window and noted that the scenery was new to her. "Where are we going?"

"You will find out soon."

After thirty minutes of traveling, they arrived at a twenty-story residential building. The Lireyan Government was very strict about its policy. In the inner part of the Capital, the tallest building cannot be more than forty stories, while in the outer part, buildings cannot be more than twenty stories. Since capitalists wanted to maximize their gains, almost all buildings are either forty stories or twenty stories tall, creating a unique skyline."

They were currently in the outer part of the Capital and entering a very luxurious residential condominium. There were five clusters of buildings that overlooked a lagoon, hence it was called Laguna Gardens. Only people from the billionaire’s circle can afford to buy a residence there.

"Do you live here Dave?" Amaya asked. Marx was from Usturia so Amaya did not expect him to have a property in Lireya.

"Yes. Marx and I are neighbors." Dave said casually.

Amaya turned to look at Marx in surprise. "Are you staying here, Marx?"

"Hmm. For three months." He took Amaya’s hand and covered it with his big ones. "There are a lot of things that you need to do and you need help."

Amaya was very happy that she innocently hugged Marx. Of course, Marx hugged her back. She was already his girlfriend. His lips formed into a half smile.

After the quick hug, she left Marx’s embrace. "Don’t you have work in Usturia?"

"A lot of people are interested in my work, so you don’t have to worry about them."

They took the elevator and went directly to the 20th floor. There were only two units on that floor. One belonged to Dave and another to Marx. Other floors have at least ten units.

Marx’s house has a huge receiving area. There were five bedrooms plus the servants’ quarters. He has a huge study and library. To the west, was an open area where there was a sparkling infinity pool. Beside the pool was a fully equipped gym and a bar.

"Beautiful!" Amaya could not help but comment.

The three of them went to the study where Marx showed her the diorama of Verde Island.

"You just arrived! Did you plan this for a long time? Who made these models?" She asked curiously. She moved close to the diorama and inspected the miniature villa surrounded by guest houses at the foot of the twin mountains.

"Everything is easy if you have the money. Dave asked someone to make this. I gave him the design. There is a company that will help build this for us. Tomorrow is the groundbreaking ceremony." Marx paused then he looked at Amaya. "You should be there. It is at sunrise so you can make it prior to school."

Amaya did not understand what groundbreaking was. It could not mean a literal breaking of the ground right? She deduced that it was related to the construction. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"The island is a bit far from school. But I will definitely attend."

"Amaya, I invited your father. I am not sure if he can make it as he should have a lot of things on his plate, but do remind him."

Amaya nodded then she focussed her attention back on the diorama. She was excited.

After discussing a few revisions on the villa, they went out to the bar. Amaya looked longingly at the infinity pool. She had a bathtub in her room, but it was too small and she felt restricted.

Marx saw the look in her eyes. "Do you want to swim?"

"Can I?" The princess replied with a question.

"Sure." Marx cast a wary glance at Dave. While they were good friends, he was selfish and he did not want others to see Amaya in a swimsuit.

"Dave.." before Marx can continue, he saw the surprised look on Dave’s face. Marx did not notice when Amaya left the bar. When he turned back, Amaya was already on the water just wearing a bra and her underwear. Her denim and white tee shirt were piled up on the side of the pool.

Marx pursed his lips. Didn’t we tell her not to undress in public?

"She is very beautiful." Dave has a meaningful smile on his face. Marx glared at him. He wanted to skin him alive.

"Don’t worry Marx. She was so fast that I only saw a blur." Dave chuckled.

"Get out!" Marx did not wait for Dave to answer. He directly pulled him from the high chair and lead him toward the main door. When they arrived there, Marx simply shoved him outside and closed the door.

"Hey, what are you doing? You are so ungrateful." Dave shouted outside.

"I’ll see you later after Amaya is done with her bath."

Dave stood outside the door. There seemed to be something wrong with Marx’s words. Who would take a bath in a pool? Does she think that the pool was a big bathtub?

Marx changed into his swimming trunks, took two bath towels, and went to one of the rooms to get a swimsuit from a closet full of women’s dresses. He strode toward the pool with confident steps.

He picked up Amaya’s clothes and placed them on a lounge chair.

"Aya, come here. You need to change into a swimsuit. What you are wearing now is not appropriate clothes for swimming."

Amaya’s entire body was submerged in the water and only her head was visible. She looked down at her body and did not find anything wrong.

She looked back to where the voice came from and was dazed for a moment. Standing on the edge of the pool was a tall man with lean muscles. He has a strong physique, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist.

She felt her heartbeat quicken. What was wrong with her?
