Chapter 638: 13.03 - World Mission - Pawprints of Passion

Bing Shi inserted a syringe into the vein on her arm, drawing a sample of her DNA, "%@$&$," she carefully sealed the syringe inside a ziplock bag, then placed the bag into a sturdy, tight container, "#%&$##."

Felicia sent the sample into a quarantine where they used to go through the zombie trial, "Are you going to stay outside?"

Even without understanding her words, Bing Shi’s actions spoke for themselves:

1.Bring the sample back for research.

2. Consider the possibility of contamination. The sample might contain a virus or something equally dangerous.

"#%," Nodding, Bing Shi tried to move the toes on her legs and then her ankles without much success, "#%&#."

Felicia asked Juliet to send her the photos and videos she had of this world.

"I’m going to find a safe place and build a shelter," said Juliet, readying herself to go outside again, "You should take a rest to replenish your strength in the meanwhile. Call me if needed," she said and handed her a pocket watch.

"%@%-," Bing Shi nodded in agreement while going through her space, looking for clothes in her size, "#&#%&."

Felicia bowed in understanding before disappearing on the spot.

"..." Bing Shi looked at the system notification in a daze. See? That’s what she meant when she said she needed a capable team to help her out.

She couldn’t help but find Tyrion’s obsession at first sight absurdly bizarre.

’Maybe it’s a good thing that hubby is not here. His appearance might have just sent Tyrion over the edge - soul, sanity, and all, heh.’

’But how do I convince him to stop being a crazy, pervert stalker, and be a respectable gentleman instead?’

’~Torture him into submission.’

Bing Shi paused for a second.

’That doesn’t sound too bad, actually.’

[Secondary mission: Your actions might have caused a butterfly effect. |"Hubby, shall I find a bunny body for you? Or would you prefer a red panda?"| Bing Shi asked, waving at Kuro, transmitting the image of her new looks to the man who tried to prank her with that extra mission.

|"Am I not cuddly enough? (。•́︿•̀。)"| Xuan Mu received an image of an unfamiliar girl that was sitting leisurely at the top of a tree branch. Her looks failed to stir any deeper emotion in him, beside finding her somehow teasable. Only when she put on the piggy mask that he felt his heartbeat quicken, "..."

’I told you that the ’Shina effect’ is no joke,’ Ziek grumped as he modified her exoskeleton to fit her new body.

"..." Xuan Mu could never fall in love or get attracted to someone at first sight. This emotional wiring caused his deep bond with Bing Shi to become all the more special over the time and, honestly, a bit comical. It would take time before he could see her new body as an extension of her, rather than just a layer to be peeled away from her real self.

|"Of course you are the most huggable man in the whole universe."| What could Bing Shi say? Her man treated trying out new bodies like he was picking out a new outfit — a super rare occasion. |"I wanted to pick a snake girl for myself, but there wasn’t a single non-humanoid option. I’ll probably snag myself a nice one if I get lucky."|

|"A snake girl? ( •̀ - •́ ) "| Xuan Mu started to wonder if Bing Shi had taken her hobby of collecting unique fashion pieces to a whole new level — now she seemed to be ’collecting’ entire bodies.

|"Yes!"| Bing Shi thanked him for the exoskeleton and disconnected herself from their conversation. His cute expressions that were trying to act innocent were too much for her heart to handle!

Felicia sent out Alain to help build a temporary shelter for Bing Shi together with Juliet. He hollowed out a cozy space within the thick bark, similar to an owl nest.

Occasionally, he would gaze at the piggy girl scribbling notes on her tablet, "..."

Once the nest was finished, Alain hand signed to Felicia that he wanted to gather a few plants for himself.

"You can’t go out looking like that," Bing Shi stopped the guy wearing a protective scaffander, "I’ll gather some herbs for you tomorrow."

Alain took out some storage bags for Bing Shi, then allowed Felicia to move him back inside the space to get disinfected.

"Return to the spacecraft and focus on incorporating their technology. A translator like theirs would come in handy," Bing Shi said as she handed the pocket watch back to Juliet, "Be extra cautious not to be detected by anyone. If I can take control of another body, others could too."

"Understood," Juliet said, and disappeared on the spot.

"What about me?" Felicia asked expectantly.

"I need you to scout the territory and share what you discover with the team. Remember, steer clear of anyone unusual, particularly those who stand out or draw a lot of attention."

Getting cozy in her new shelter, Bing Shi continued to organize her thoughts, outlining objectives, potential challenges, and strategies for each task in order to tackle all of her missions.

In this world, female species were rare. Their unique ability to reproduce with various species made them a treasure beyond measure.

Having a female by your side would automatically turn you into a walking target — the primal urge to continue one’s lineage would drive other males to extreme lengths.

In some cases, groups of males would band together to protect a single female, sharing her among themselves.

Bing Shi’s eyes turned towards the direction of the forest, ’It’s only a matter of time before he comes here.’

Instincts were a powerful thing, and she could use it to her advantage.

Tyrion’s obsession would make him follow her everywhere, even into her traps.

One week later...

Tyrion ran his hand over his chest. Every muscle of his body was defined as if he was chiseled out of rock, not an ounce of fat on his frame. His body was strong, but it was his mind that was weak, tortured by the thought of her, "Where is she?"

His eyes were plagued with an infection that left him unable to open them normally. To alleviate the discomfort, he wore a cloth soaked in soothing herb-infused water over his closed eyes.

He couldn’t catch Azura’s scent before she disappeared, and wandered without a plan. He flew with barely any breaks, stopping only to hunt for food and water. He was getting tired, unable to fall asleep or think clearly, haunted by her voice.

When he got to the bottom of the valley, he caught the faint trace of an unfamiliar scent. Something he had never tasted before, and it drove him wild. He barely controlled the insatiable mating rage as he followed its traces in excitement, "My mate!"

There was no doubt that only his mate could have such a delicious scent!

He entered the cave.

"Is that you, Kurus?" Lisandra called out, unaware of the new visitor. She was thin and wearing her school uniform: a white shirt, a short skirt, and a dark jacket. Her long hair fell over her shoulders as she cleaned off some dirt, making her unique smell spread around.

That voice. It was not hers.

The voice that echoed in his mind for so long. The voice that had been the source of his torture.

It was not her voice.

When Lissandra turned, she was shocked to see someone else. In front of her stood a handsome guy with horns and a piece of cloth tied around his eyes. He was definitely not Kurus, the snake man she was familiar with, "W-who...are—"

Before she could finish her question, a massive form loomed over. It charged at Tyrion and threw him out of the cave with a powerful swift of his tail.

"Looks like dinner has served itself right on our lair," Kurus said, slithered out of the cave, his tongue flickering.
