Chapter 639: 13.04 - Blind Fool - Pawprints Of Passion

"Kurus?" Lisandra approached the snake beastman cautiously, her hand reaching out to touch his arm, "Leave him be. I don’t like to eat bull’s meat," she whispered, glancing over at the minotaur-like beastman.

Kurus glanced back at her and his tail wrapped around her waist, lifting her up onto his shoulders affectionately, "What meat do you prefer? I will hunt it for you."

She was too beautiful, he felt like his heart was going to stop just looking at her and when she was close enough he could smell her scent. She had the sweetest and most intoxicating fragrance, unlike anything he had smelled before.

Lisandra hugged his neck and pressed her cheek against his shoulder. Her small hand patted his head gently, "Maybe a fish? Or a bird, something that is easy to cook and tasty. Thank you," she smiled.

"Alright," Kurus agreed and then sent Thyrion a threatening look, "This female is mine, so you better leave! If not, you are not going to live much longer!"

"Who wants your ugly female?! I’m here for my mate, who is my much more beautiful than yours!" Thyrion roared.

Who cared if he couldn’t see? All females beside his mate were ugly, ptui! That female whose scent now carried a hint of snake smell was definitely not his mate!

Kurus felt the blood in his veins boil, and his pupils dilated, "How can a blind fool like you know about beauty?! If you value your life, go before I kill you!"

Tyrion could no longer waste his time here, not while his mate was out there. He needed to find her and mark her before other males could. He shifted into his bull form and left.

Lisandra was speechless, "..." Was this how that minotaur decided to thank his benefactor? By calling her ugly?! Nobody had ever dared to call her, the great Lisandra, ugly!

Meanwhile, the ’beautiful’ female Tyrion was talking about was getting ready for action. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Bing Shi stretched out before picking up her rifle. She initially planned to maintain a safe distance from the leads while focusing on dealing with Tyrion first. However, the abnormalities surrounding them forced her to travel across the continent way sooner.

As soon as the red buffalo came into view through her scope, she took her shot.

The shot hit its mark. Tyrion felt the impact and collapsed to the ground, his eyes growing heavy.

"Sweet dreams," was the last thing he heard, a faint echo in his ears, before darkness enveloped him.

Tyrion was abruptly woken up by sharp pain as one wolf bit into his shoulder and another clamped its jaws onto his stomach. He groaned in agony, the wolves’ attack catching him off guard.

When he tried to defend himself, he found himself in a startling situation. His body was tied up, his mouth was gagged, making it impossible for him to speak, and his nose was stuffed by something, restricting his sense of smell.

"That’s the one!" howled one of the wolves, pointing at Tyrion, "He’s the one who killed Shaz!"

"He must pay for his crimes!" shouted the other wolf, gnashing his teeth in anger.

Tyrion struggled against the rope, but his body felt weak and lethargic, "Grr!" he released a deep guttural sound.

"Kurus, it’s another pack of wolves." Lisandra held onto Kurus’s shoulder, warning him to be careful as they moved closer to the place where the voices were coming from, "Be careful."

Kurus used his massive tail and smacked the wolf closest to him, sending it flying into a tree. The other wolves, noticing the threat, quickly scampered away.

’What is the guy with horns doing here again?’ Lisandra wondered. She got off Kurus’ back, and approached the stranger, intending to remove his mouth gag and treat his injuries. But before she could act, a voice cut through the air.

"I wouldn’t do that if I were you," the female voice said, "He looks like he has rabies."

"Rabies?" Lisandra shot her eyes towards Tyrion once again.

"Grrgh!" Tyrion snapped at Lisandra, growling in an animalistic manner. He just heard his mate’s voice! He would never forget that shrill voice screaming for help! Saliva formed at the corners of his mouth, his muscles straining against the ropes.

This frightening change in his appearance caused Lisandra to feel a twinge of fear of the possible rabies he might be carrying. She looked up at the direction of the voice and was stunned when she saw the girl wearing a comfortable tracksuit.

If her body’s memories served right, that girl must have been...

"Azumi Rai?" Lissandra called out. Azumi Rai, also known as Azura, was this body’s classmate. She was a popular athlete, who had won the national rock climbing championships before.

"Great to see you here too, Hikari," Azura said as she slipped her mask back on.

Bing Shi didn’t mind others knowing her identity, she just liked the comfort of wearing an unreadable face, where her eyes and expressions remained her own hidden world.

"Do you know her?" Kurus asked.

Lisandra nodded her head slightly, her expression unreadable. Hikari was the name of the girl, whose body she was occupying. Both Azura and Hikari went for a school camping trip in the forest with their class. During the night, a bear suddenly ambushed them.

"You should leave." Unfazed by the raging Tyrion, Bing Shi remained seated on a high branch, her feet dangling. "His blood is going to draw in more predators."

"What about you?" Lisandra asked.

Azura pointed at her legs, "I was careless and twisted my ankles. I can’t walk on my own," she admitted, "So, you guys can go first."

"How do you expect me to just leave you behind?" Lisandra asked.

"Careful!" Kurus hissed as he deflected the thing that was thrown at Lisandra.

Bing Shi hurled another pine cone in their direction, sensing a dark aura ematting from Hikari before it quickly disappeared, "Just leave, I’ll be alright."

Lisandra stared at the pine cone she caught, and then she looked up, "Do whatever you want then. Just don’t blame me when you’ll need help from me next time." She hurled the cone in Azura’s direction and tapped Kurus’s shoulder, indicating that they were leaving.

"Sure," Bing Shi got her shoulder hit, unable to avoid the cone in time. Regaining her balance, she tossed her last cone before Kurus.

Kurus shot a glare in her direction, his snake instincts flaring, "Push me further, and I’ll turn you into my next meal."

"I’m sorry," Bing Shi said, "I have a habit of throwing things. I was aiming at the bird over there," she pointed at the tree across her.

"..." Kurus grasped Lissandra’s arm and led her away, "The lake for your bath is over this way. Let’s go."

When Lissandra and Kurus were far enough, Bing Shi began to climb down the tree. She gave Tyrion a once over before she ran away.

"Mmpf!" Tyrion struggled with all his might to break apart the restraints, "Grrgh!"

His struggles began to bear fruit. The ropes tying his body started to give away. Sucking in a groan of pain, he shifted into his minotaur form and broke the rope.

’How did one of the male leads end up with another girl? Did Hikari transmigrate accidentally together with Azura?’

’~Hikari’s aura feels very familiar to an entity that I met through one of the wardens.’

’Who?’

’~A succubus.’

’囧...’
