When Bing Shi finished feeding Stinky Bun, she looked up to see Xuan Mu standing at the edge of the playground. He had a thoughtful look on his face as he watched her wipe their son’s mouth.

"Don’t worry, hubby. I won’t let anyone come between us," she assured him.

As he walked in closer, his warm breath tickling her ear, "But if someone does try to come between us, I will have to remind them who you belong to."

His words sent a rush of heat through Bing Shi’s body, and she couldn’t help but giggle at the masculine energy in his voice, "Oh, will you? It’s not often you get to show just how possessive you can be, right?" she teased as she covered their son’s ears to shield him from any adult conversation.

"As much as I would love to prove it, you always chase away any potential rivals before I get the chance to prove myself," he chuckled. He placed a hand on her shoulder, feeling the tension in her muscles.

His lips grazed her earlobe as he whispered, "But this time, it’s different. The other party has moved into your heart, and they seem to be getting quite cozy in there."

He pulled back slightly, "As your husband, I’ll have to either charge them rent or evict them, I’m afraid."

He knew what he was getting into when he let Victor provide her with his energy. There was always the risk of her creating a bond with another person.

She watched as his eyes flickered with a dangerous gleam and his body language shifted to indicate a sense of protectiveness, both his arms wrapping around her upper body, "What do you think, should I be a gracious landlord and let them stay, or should I take matters into my own hands?"

Bing Shi felt herself melting like a snowman under the sun, completely helpless to resist his charms, "I’m sorry, but anyone who helps to lessen your pain will have a special place in my heart. Whether you like it or no—no, no, no, I take it baaaack!" she uncovered her son’s ears, "Nooo, help me!"

Stinky Bun squirmed in his parent’s hug, his small arms wrapping tightly around Daddy’s stomach, pressing his cheek against his back to drag him away from Mommy. "Mommy, mommy!" Run, Mommy, run!

To Stinky Bun, it seemed like another one of their playful wrestling matches, where Mommy had to save him from Daddy’s kisses and hugs. But this time, it was Mommy who was on the receiving end of Daddy’s ’rough’ affection.

Bing Shi laughed as Stinky Bun tried to hold down Xuan Mu, "Show Daddy what you are made of!" She cheered as she tried to crawl from underneath Xuan Mu, "Oh, yeah! That’s my boy!"

"Daddy!" Daddy, hands off Mommy! Stinky Bun yelled, trying to pry his daddy’s hands off of Mommy when he continued to clutch onto Mommy.

Xuan Mu buried his nose in her hair and ruffled it up like a wild animal, "Daddy’s hungry for some yummy food, and Mommy looks like a tasty treat. Nom, nom, nom," he made a silly munching sound against her back as if not the least bit affected by the ’love rival’ he had mentioned earlier.

The boy refuses to give up, and even barged into XiaoPu’s room, breaking a door in the process, "Pupu, pupu!" Help! Mommy is going to be eaten if we don’t save her!

XiaoPu shrugged off the little toddler as he continued to watch the TV in his room, "Don’t worry. Mommy is strong, she can handle herself."

But... Huffing his cheeks, the little toddler scurried back to the living room, his little legs waddling as fast as they could. With all his might, he puckered up his lips and blew a big air kiss to his mommy.

The "mwah" sound echoed through the air. He watched with eager eyes as Mommy caught his flying kiss and slapped it against her cheek. It was a power boost she always requested before heading off to work.

Bing Shi grabbed Xuan Mu by the collar of his shirt and swung him over her shoulder. Xuan Mu landed with a thud on the carpet, and Bing Shi quickly pinned him down, "Thank you for the power boost, my little superhero. I couldn’t have done it without you."

"Mommy, mommy!" You are welcome, Mommy! Stinky Bun raised his fist in victory as he sat on his daddy’s chest like Mommy. Hell yeah! They won against Daddy with combined strength!

Without the constant distraction of Victor’s revenge and hateful pursuits, Bing Shi finally had the peace of mind she needed to focus on her own growth and that of her team.

Gathering her team of thirty people, she led them toward the basement under Felicia’s mansion. As they descended the cold, narrow steps, the thick security measures in place were evident. It seemed as if the place was designed to prevent those inside from escaping, rather than keeping intruders out.

"Are you sure we don’t have to postpone the LAD entrance exams?" Henry asked Bing Shi as he took off his equipment in one of the chambers, locking them in a cabinet.

Bing Shi nodded, putting aside her cane and taking off her coat. She kept her mask only, "If we postpone the LAD entrance exam for a year, we risk losing our edge."

Skipping a year could affect their reputation and future prospects within the LAD. Another issue they needed to consider was the advantage of their fresh graduate minds. Right now, their education and training were at their peak. They were primed to take on the LAD exams.

It was obvious that half of them wouldn’t be able to pass through the 97% wall, yet their Lady was so sure they would.

When they all were only in their inner garment, she guided them through a massive steel door into a chamber filled with thirty cages. Inside each cage, there were shackles, mouthpieces, and other restraining tools. The team exchanged nervous glances, unsure of what to expect.

"I’m going to change all of you into ability users," Bing Shi walked towards the fridge and took out a bucket filled with Victor’s blood. She then took out a bracelet she kept from her time in the zombie world. The bracelet had an openable pendant, inside which was a piece of dried-up flesh from the zombie king.

Looking up at the curious gazes around her, she opened the pendant and dropped the bracelet into the bucket. After she dropped a few more bracelets into the bucket, she placed the bucket back into the fridge, "Go inside the cages and put on the restraints."

The first to get inside the cage was Douglas. He put on the mouthpiece and shackled himself to the mattress on the floor, causing everyone else to follow the lead. They were used to their Lady’s strange orders and were no longer slow to respond as before.

The dried-up flesh was quite old, and she was not certain if the virus within it could have survived for such a long time. But when she thought about how it could survive on a meteorite, she shrugged away her worries.

The virus was sensitive to an oxygen-rich environment, its lifespan would shorten rapidly without a host. By contrast, the extreme cold and lack of oxygen in space helped to preserve the virus. That was why she kept all the bracelets in airtight containers in Kuro’s space, keeping a few in her space as well.

The best way to see if it worked was to try it on herself. Once they buried Silvia a few feets under the ground, she mixed Leon’s blood with the flesh of a zombie within the coffin and drank it all up. The trial she went through this time was much more smooth. She ended up with the flying ability without even dropping a sweat.
