Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 791 - 789_1
A sigh flickered across Ivan Horne’s face. When would Daddy stop being so domineering? That was *his* Mommy, and yet he couldn’t even follow her. In all the world, was anyone else as pitiful as him, saddled with a father who doted on Mommy to the skies yet was also incredibly overbearing?
The silver Rolls-Royce glided away with Julia, leaving the entire Horne family behind at the villa.
Ivan Horne, his young face set in a frown, still stood in place. His dark eyes, holding the dissatisfaction of a failed competition for affection, remained fixed on the direction where his father’s car had vanished.
"Jimmy Horne, why did you bite me? Are you a dog?" Camila Ruiz’s indignant voice suddenly erupted from not far behind.
Ivan Horne instinctively turned and looked towards where Camila Ruiz was playing nearby. He saw her angrily pointing at Jimmy Horne and scolding him. The little beauty, Florence Ford, had initially been playing with Camila Ruiz, but when Camila began her tirade, Florence disappointingly sided with Jimmy Horne. This made Camila suspect that Florence’s entire life was meant for Jimmy—she was a sister with no opinions, no self, no aspirations!
Camila Ruiz hadn’t provoked him but was suddenly bitten so fiercely. This naturally sent her into a rage; her little mouth was still bleeding, showing just how hard little doggie Jimmy Horne had bitten.
"Camila, you are not allowed to hurt my young master!" As soon as Florence Ford saw her actions, she immediately stepped out, blocking Camila Ruiz.
Although all four children attended the Literary and Martial Arts School, the best learner was Jimmy Horne, then Florence Ford, and the worst was Camila Ruiz. Once Florence stepped in, it became very difficult for Camila to get close to Jimmy.
"Florence, get out of my way!" Little Camila was truly angry. She flung Florence Ford aside with all her might. Surprisingly, she, who was usually no match for Florence, actually managed to push her away. By the time Florence Ford came to her senses, Camila Ruiz was already tangled up with Jimmy Horne.
Camila Ruiz insisted on biting Jimmy Horne back. Jimmy wouldn’t let her. But in the end, they ended up biting each other.
By the time Florence Ford and the approaching Ivan Horne managed to pull them apart, both Jimmy Horne’s and Camila Ruiz’s lips were bleeding.
Julia sat in the passenger seat, leaning against the car door. Her face was tilted, a smile on her lips as she amusedly watched Glades Horne.
From the route, she knew Glades Horne intended to take her back to the house that belonged to them. It was one of the betrothal gifts he had given her when they married. Though it was originally meant for her sister, Ruby Bluen, the first time Julia stepped into that modest villa, spanning five hundred square meters, she knew it had been designed for her. Every flower, every plant, every tree—the entire layout was to her liking. Fortunately, in the end, it was she and Glades who married. If her sister hadn’t run away from the wedding, with her cleverness, Ruby would surely have realized he was in love with Julia.
That place was their own little world, full of countless sweet and warm moments of happiness. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
The car quickly arrived in front of the small villa. Glades Horne got out to open the gate, while Julia sat quietly in the car, watching his movements.
Once the car was parked in the Courtyard, Glades Horne gently helped her out, saying tenderly, "Be careful. Wait for me at the front door of the Main House. I’ll go close the main gate. Don’t stand here; the wind is strong today." After giving his instructions, he watched her obediently turn and walk towards the Main House entrance before he closed the villa’s main gate.
With the gate closed, isolating them from all people and things of the outside world, only the two of them remained in this world of theirs.
Once inside the house, Julia casually sat on the couch, her smiling eyes fixed on him.
"Why did you suddenly bring me here?"
"This is our own world, where absolutely no one will come to disturb us. I don’t want any more little light bulbs barging in," Glades Horne said. He stood in front of Julia and leaned down, placing his hands on the back of the couch on either side of her, effectively trapping her in his embrace.
He lowered his head, his unfathomable black eyes gazing intently at her.
Clearly, Jimmy Horne’s intrusion had significantly affected his mood.
If it hadn’t been his own nephew, who knew how this domineering man might have dealt with the "light bulb."
Julia chuckled softly. Her eyes were as bewitching as silk, and her soft, alluring expression stirred Glades’s heart.
"I’m still hungry. Noodles."
Even before they married, she had been a noodle fanatic, mastering every conceivable way to prepare them. Her culinary skills were remarkable, especially when it came to cooking noodles. Even with no other ingredients, just oil and salt, the noodles she cooked were a delicacy that greatly whetted one’s appetite.
For a while after their marriage, she still ate them frequently. The old lady, knowing she was a noodle fanatic, would thoughtfully have their housemaid prepare them for her. Later, after giving birth to Ivan Horne and returning to work, she became busier and gradually hadn’t eaten noodles in a long time.
Today, she suddenly craved them—and she specifically wanted noodles cooked by her own husband.
This towering figure, a man not to be trifled with in the eyes of outsiders, had only one culinary skill to boast of: cooking noodles.
She knew he had deliberately learned it just for her.
"I’ll serve my dear wife immediately."
Glades Horne tapped her face lightly, then turned with a smile and headed towards the small kitchen.
Julia watched him walk into the kitchen. She leaned back on the couch, gazing at the dazzling crystal chandelier above, as a tide of happiness washed over her.
Her hand rested on her prominent belly, gently stroking it. The child within seemed to respond to her touch.
This baby’s movements were stronger than Ivan’s had been. Julia speculated that this little one would surely be mischievous, just like Jimmy Horne.
