Hansen Ruiz sat down on the sofa, his gentle eyes fixed on Floyd Thomas as he smiled faintly. "Floyd, how long has it been?"

The Eldest Young Master is angry!

Floyd's scalp tightened as he quickly responded, "The day the Eldest Young Master left on his business trip, Mrs. Ruiz arrived."

"Pretty well-informed, aren't you?"

"Eldest Young Master, it was a coincidence." Floyd didn't dare to say that Mrs. Ruiz had never actually left T City. He certainly couldn't reveal that Mrs. Ruiz had always asked him to keep an eye on the movements in this villa.

"Has Mrs. Ruiz ever bullied the Eldest Young Madam?" Hansen Ruiz's smile became gentler, yet a wild rage flickered only in the depths of his eyes.

"This... Eldest Young Master, the Eldest Young Madam is not someone who allows herself to be bullied," Floyd answered indirectly. Mrs. Ruiz did bully the Eldest Young Madam. However, each time they clashed, it was Mrs. Ruiz who ended up infuriated by the Eldest Young Madam's tongue, which was as sharp as a knife.

"As soon as dawn breaks, take Mrs. Ruiz home immediately. If she ever comes here again, don't blame me for being heartless." Hansen Ruiz stood up and turned to walk upstairs.

For the sake of his beloved wife not being bullied, he once again endured his mother.

"Eldest Young Master."

Floyd took a few steps forward and called out to him. When Hansen Ruiz stopped and turned around, Floyd finally said, "Eldest Young Master, the Eldest Young Madam is pregnant. You haven't hired a servant to care for her. Having Mrs. Ruiz stay here could also help; she could take care of the Eldest Young Madam."

Hansen Ruiz laughed, a hint of ridicule in his tone. "Floyd, you've been with Mrs. Ruiz for several years now. Do you really think she can take care of the Eldest Young Madam?"

Floyd was at a loss for words.

"I'll hire a servant tomorrow. There's no need for any of you to worry about these things. I will take good care of my wife," Hansen Ruiz said. Without paying any more attention to Floyd, he turned and continued upstairs.

Arriving in front of the room he shared with Rachel, he lightened his footsteps. After opening the door, he found the room pitch black; no lights were on. Rachel and Julia were different. Julia liked to sleep with the lights on, but Rachel preferred them off.

Gently turning on the light, Hansen Ruiz's expression softened to tenderness as he walked into the inner room and saw Rachel Bailey's petite body lying sweetly asleep on the wide double bed.

Even with the light on, she didn't stir, a clear sign of how deeply she slept.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he reached out, his hand greedily caressing her ordinary little face. His gaze moved to her still-flat belly, which already nurtured their child—his and hers.

Rachel Bailey opened her sleepy eyes. Upon seeing Hansen Ruiz, she still looked drowsy, then broke into a silly grin. "Hansen Ruiz, you've entered my dream! You seem so real tonight." She reached out to touch his face, still giggling foolishly. "So real indeed, Hansen Ruiz. I miss you. I see you in my dreams every night, but tonight you are especially real. Hmm, you even have warmth... HUH?"

Wait, people in dreams don't have warmth, do they?

Rachel's hand froze, her silly smile stiffened on her lips as she stared wide-eyed at Hansen Ruiz.

Hansen Ruiz smiled, bringing his face closer to hers. "Honey," he said cheerfully, "want to touch again to make sure if it's real or if you're dreaming?"

Hearing her say she dreamed of him every night made his heart soar with joy; he truly loved her so much. Her drowsy words also amused him; this girl was quite adorable when she was being silly.

"Hansen Ruiz!" Rachel Bailey immediately sat up. Because she did so with such force, she accidentally bumped Hansen Ruiz's chin.

"OW!" They both cried out at the same time. Her head was hard, and the bump on Hansen Ruiz's chin was painfully sharp.

"Now, Rachel, was there any need for such excitement? OUCH! My chin... it's so well-defined, quite perfect, you know," Hansen Ruiz said, touching his chin and chuckling.

"Enough about your 'well-defined, perfect chin.' Who asked you to get so close? And how come you're back? You didn't even give me a heads-up so I could go to the airport to pick you up," Rachel Bailey chided, lightly patting his shoulder.

Hansen Ruiz's handsome face immediately fell. "So," he said in an aggrieved tone, "my dear wife wasn't looking forward to my return, was she?"

Rachel Bailey patted his shoulder again and retorted, annoyed, "You know that's not what I meant. It's just... what time is it? It's past one in the morning, and here you are! Did you travel back overnight?"

Hansen Ruiz chuckled softly. Then, with a sweep of his large hand, he pulled Rachel Bailey into his arms, his chin resting on her shoulder. "The matter was just sorted out," he said in a deep voice. "My boss, who's addicted to spoiling his wife, couldn't wait to return, so we traveled back overnight. Rachel, tell me honestly, did you really hope I'd return?"

His question was barely out when Rachel fiercely pinched his chest muscle, making him cry out in pain. "OUCH! That hurts!"

"You heartless man! Why wouldn't I want you to come back? I've been longing for your return every day, counting the days on my fingers! It's you who left so suddenly, not even giving me a chance to see you off. Julia even packed a little luggage for her husband and sent him off personally. And what about me? My husband boarded the plane, and I hadn't even made it back home yet!" Recalling Hansen Ruiz's sudden business trip, Rachel still felt a pang of disappointment.

As his wife, she wished she could be like Julia—packing her husband's luggage, giving him last-minute reminders, even seeing him off to the car or the plane. But Hansen Ruiz had left so abruptly. When he'd informed her, she was too busy to rush home and pack for him.

"Fine, I'm a heartless man," he chuckled. That word, meant as an insult, actually felt rather heartwarming.

"I found out we're expecting, and you weren't home. Heaven knows how much I wished I could share the good news with you the moment I returned from the hospital, but unfortunately..."
