Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 521: Love Planted Wrongly, Hard to Sever (4)_1
My son clearly loves Julia so much!
Even faced with her photo, could he still endure, still restrain himself?
If it was Julia Bluen in person, could he still endure, still restrain himself?
Thinking of this, Pheobe Rogers stopped crying. She got up with a sinister sneer.
She would send Julia Bluen to his bed! She had to see if he could continue to endure then!
Julia was always accompanied by four bodyguards. If she wanted to abduct Julia and deliver her to James Horne's bed, she would need to plan carefully.
Compared to James Horne returning to the company early to deal with work matters, Glades Horne returned much later.
Because Julia had stopped going to work every day after the New Year to focus on her pregnancy at home, Glades Horne had postponed his return to the company as much as possible to spend more time with his beloved wife.
The Valence Group resumed work on the ninth day of the first lunar month, but it was not until the eleventh that Glades Horne went back to check in and make an appearance.
On that particular morning, Julia rose early, just as she used to when she was going to work.
The moment she lifted the covers and sat up, Glades Horne awoke.
Seeing her about to get out of bed, Glades immediately sat up and hugged her from behind, his voice still husky with sleep. "Darling, you don't have to go to work. Sleep a little longer. Try to be like Adele; she sleeps until at least nine o'clock before getting up."
Adele Horne was also three months pregnant, her baby due only a month after Julia's.
However, she was still experiencing morning sickness.
Her face had become thinner because she vomited so severely she could not keep anything down, leading to weight loss.
The family's matriarch worried that the baby was very restless and wondered if this would continue right up until the birth.
Adele, not a very patient person, had already been vomiting for two months. She eagerly awaited the end of her first trimester, hoping her morning sickness would stop like Julia's had, but she was not so fortunate. The little one in her belly continued to torment her, making her throw up everything she ate. Her moods were erratic, and she became angry easily.
Julia noticed this. Amidst helping her mother-in-law set up the beauty salon, she also pondered how to help stabilize her sister-in-law's emotions. When she got busy, she often forgot that she, too, was pregnant.
"Adele has improved. She used to sleep until lunchtime before getting up," Julia said with a gentle smile, defending her sister-in-law.
Glades Horne chuckled but said nothing more about his sister.
After gently prying his hands away, Julia got out of bed. She put on her slippers, walked to the wardrobe, took out her clothes, and went into the small dressing room. She changed out of her nightgown and into a spring maternity outfit. At four months, her belly was quite prominent. Her usual clothes felt uncomfortable, so Glades had thoughtfully bought her many maternity outfits the day before, for both spring and summer.
After changing, she went to the washroom to freshen up. She then prepared Glades's toothbrush, toothpaste, and towel before coming out.
Glades Horne was still sitting on the bed, a faint smile on his lips as he watched her slightly fuller figure move around the room.
Julia went to the wardrobe again, this time to get his clothes.
"Honey, I want to wear the Valentine's Day gift you gave me," Glades said, his voice deep, smooth, and tinged with a teasing warmth.
"You're going back to the company today. Wouldn't it be better to wear one of your custom-made suits?" Julia turned and replied. The clothes she had given him were expensive, but his custom ones were finer and better suited to his prestigious status.
"In my heart, whatever you give me is the best in the world."
"You're so cheesy this early in the morning."
Laughing, Julia still acquiesced, selecting a suit and tie she had given him. Internally, she was overjoyed; he always cherished her gifts, keeping her gestures close to his heart.
She was not as skillful as Rachel Bailey, who could knit beautiful, warm sweaters. The sweater Julia had started knitting for him was still unfinished because she had been too busy.
"I can't help it. My wife is just too charming; she makes me want to be cheesy all the time." When they were alone in the room, just the two of them, Glades Horne was a completely different man. He was endlessly affectionate towards Julia, wishing he could shower her with every sweet nothing in the world.
Holding the suit and tie, Julia walked over to the bed, smiling. "Stand up, and let me help you get dressed."
Like a well-trained soldier, Glades sprang to his feet, stood at attention, and saluted playfully. "Yes, Commander!"
"You silly goose," Julia laughed heartily.
Then she helped him into his clothes.
Glades Horne's gaze clung to her face like a magnet as he watched her attend to him, just as any loving wife would. The sight filled his heart with sweetness this early morning.
After Julia finished tying his tie, he could not resist taking her hands in his. "Julia," he said, his voice low and husky, "although I love it when you do this for me, let me take care of these things from now on. I prefer to be the one looking after you."
Julia looked at him, her expression one of playful distress. "Now I can't even go to work. I'm idle, with nothing to do. What else is there for me besides attending to my husband?"
Glades chuckled. He pulled her into a tight embrace, then released her, tenderly tapping her nose. "Don't look so put out. The moment I leave, you'll be busy before you know it. Mom's beauty salon—aren't you secretly managing the whole thing? The design, finding decorators, getting permits, hiring professional beauticians, and all that."
He could see right through his beloved wife's little plans.
"Julia, let me be blunt: if you tire yourself out, I will..."
"Don't worry, I know my limits," she hastily reassured him, knowing he would hold someone accountable if anything happened to her.
"Everything's ready for you. Go freshen up now; we'll be having breakfast downstairs soon."
"As you command, my dear wife," Glades acknowledged with a grin.
After stealing a quick kiss, Glades Horne entered the washroom, his heart light and joyful.
