Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 506: Stomach Pain (2)_1
This girl, already a mother, and still so mischievous, Marcel Horne muttered affectionately, his voice unable to hide his tenderness for Adele Horne.
His offhand comment made Mila Anderson's mood sink again.
Everything that happened today was because Adele Horne was now a mother.
Her well-intentioned efforts, her consideration for Adele, had almost hurt Adele again.
The smile on her face slowly stiffened. She lightly advised Marcel a few words and then returned to the car. Julia Bluen, sensing her mother-in-law's mood, cheerfully advised her sister a few words as well, then followed her back into the car and drove off.
As they watched the black Mercedes vanish in the blink of an eye, Marcel Horne suddenly laughed. "I remember Big Brother forbade Julia from driving again."
"There are bodyguards following her; she won't have any trouble," Ruby Bluen also said with a smile.
"Good thing it was us who saw. If Big Brother had seen this, he would definitely be pursing his lips again."
Ruby Bluen simply smiled without responding.
It was just moments after Julia Bluen's car had left when Glades Horne's Rolls-Royce whizzed past.
Perhaps he saw Marcel Horne walking by the roadside. He suddenly braked hard, reversed back to the couple's side, and rolled down the window. After looking at them for a moment, he finally said, "As it should be. Be careful on the road. Call me if anything happens."
Then he rolled up the window and sped away once more.
When Julia Bluen arrived back at the Horne Family estate, she got out of the car. Her first instruction to the four bodyguards was not to let Glades Horne know she had been driving, and especially not to mention what had happened to Adele.
The bodyguards just looked at each other, saying nothing.
The Young Master was incredibly perceptive; he would inevitably find out about any slight disturbance involving the Young Mistress.
"Young Mistress, you're back," the housekeeper, Uncle Ying, said as he approached.
"Uncle Ying."
Julia turned with a smile towards Uncle Ying, looking completely natural, showing no sign that she was trying to hide anything.
"Madam."
Seeing Mila Anderson emerge from Julia's car, Uncle Ying was somewhat surprised. He blinked but said nothing more.
The Young Master had secretly ordered him to keep a close eye on the Young Mistress's every move and word at home.
That's why he always came out to meet Julia whenever she came home.
Mila Anderson ignored Uncle Ying and walked towards the house on her own.
Julia, car keys in hand, inadvertently glanced up and saw Uncle Ying's gaze fixed on the keys she held. He's going to tattle, her sixth sense suddenly told her.
"Uncle Ying..." Julia had only called out his name when she stopped herself. Her delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly, and her right hand instinctively cradled her belly. Her complexion turned a bit pale.
Suddenly, she felt a pain in her stomach.
"Young Mistress, what's wrong? Is your stomach bothering you?" Uncle Ying asked quickly, his voice filled with nervous concern. He looked up and saw Mila Anderson had reached the doorway of the Main House. Despite this, he still shouted loudly to her, "Madam! Madam! The Young Mistress is unwell!" As he called out, he hurried to Julia's side to support her.
The four bodyguards also became tense.
When we found the Young Mistress, she seemed to be chasing that pervert! The Young Mistress is pregnant; how could she run?
HUH?
If anything happened to the Young Mistress, or to the Little Young Master in her womb, the Young Master would skin us alive!
At this thought, the four bodyguards urgently said, "Quick! Help the Young Mistress into the house first, then get Dr. Lei to check on her immediately!"
Mila Anderson had just reached the doorway of the Main House when she heard Uncle Ying's shouts. She didn't pay much attention at first. However, when she heard him say the Young Mistress was unwell, she whirled around in alarm. Seeing Julia Bluen clutching her stomach, Mila first froze, then her face paled with shock. She immediately sprinted over. Together with Uncle Ying, she tried to help Julia into the house, all the while shouting urgently, "Dr. Lei! Dr. Lei!"
The bodyguards had already gone to find Dr. Lei.
"Mom, I'm okay. It's just a sudden pain in my stomach," Julia whispered, tugging at her mother-in-law's sleeve, indicating that she needn't panic.
"Why do you have a stomachache? Could it be the baby...?"
As she was speaking, the sound of a car horn came from outside the villa.
Uncle Ying turned his head and exclaimed in a low voice, "The Young Master is back!"
Hearing that Glades Horne was back, Julia Bluen quickly stood up straight, not wanting him to see her discomfort. Her stomach felt a bit hard but soon returned to normal.
However, a faint ache still lingered in her stomach.
Uncle Ying ran to open the gate for Glades Horne.
Glades Horne drove in, not to the parking area, but stopped right next to Julia Bluen.
As his tall frame emerged from the car, Dr. Lei had just reached Julia's side. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Glades Horne saw Dr. Lei rushing out, breathless, followed by Julia's bodyguards. The worried old lady, Adele Horne, and Gian Horne had also come out after hearing the commotion. Taking in Julia's pale face and his mother's anxious expression, Glades's own expression darkened. He stared at Julia and asked, "Julia, what's wrong with you?"
"Glades, don't ask so many questions! Julia said her stomach hurts. Quick, carry her inside and let her lie down so Dr. Lei can take a look!" Julia had wanted to hide it, but her mother-in-law was too quick and blurted out that her stomach was hurting.
Instantly, her feet left the ground as she was swept into Glades Horne's arms. He carried her swiftly towards the house, roaring as he went, "Dr. Lei!"
Dr. Lei felt he was the unluckiest, most pitiful person.
He'd just been rushed out of the house by Julia's bodyguards and hadn't even caught his breath. He hadn't even had a chance to check Julia's pulse before Glades Horne was urging him back inside. If this kept up, his old life would be over before its time.
Julia, nestled in Glades Horne's arms, felt the wind whistling past her ears.
It was clear Glades Horne was running very fast.
Glades Horne's face was taut, the tension etched clearly upon it. He charged into the house with Julia in his arms, raced up the stairs in a few bounds, entered their room, and laid Julia on the bed. Then, he spun around and roared, "Dr. Lei! Are you crawling like a tortoise? Hurry up!"
"Coming, coming!" Dr. Lei replied, hurrying after them.
