Pretending to Be an Untouchable Crime Boss-Chapter 257: Franc Mihaly.
Not long after their conversation, Hector took over the planning of the trip, which Mike didn’t really could do anything about, and his chance for promotion went away in a second, though it was better that Hector did it.
He knew exactly who in the family would be ready to jump in front of a bullet to protect James, even put their hands up against a gun, because in Maraci, it’s almost impossible to smuggle people in without a diplomatic passport... which was exactly what they were using, thanks to Linda.
After their little argument and reality check, they all worked even harder. Even Benjamin himself came back to join them in planning for the future, while Linda made a call.
It took her just one call, and within an hour the fake passport and ID card were ready. There was no need for TSA checks or anything at the airport. As soon as it was done, she immediately sent someone to deliver it to James. When it arrived, he was confused as he opened the black passport embossed with golden leaves... and there was his picture inside.
But the most important part was what it said.
"Franc Mihaly, 32 years old?" He asked, looking at the woman, then back at the passport. "Oversight Committee of Foreign Embassies?" He immediately knew they had gone way overboard, they had literally made him a government official.
"We can’t send you the same way we sent your family, because... well, they were sent as family members of an embassy worker, so it was easy to give them clearance and everything. But if we sent you like that too, it would be too obvious." She explained. "So technically, you’re now a member of the government. This way, you have clearance, and no one will ask questions. You can move freely around Maraci and come and go from the embassy whenever you want."
It made sense, in this way, there wouldn’t be any problems.
"What about the people coming with me?" James asked, noticing she wasn’t holding any more passports but rather two bulky laptops that were almost like a briefcases.
"The people escorting you don’t need papers because they’re part of your entourage, so don’t worry, they won’t be stopped. And this is also for you, from Miss Linda." She said, handing him the laptop. "It’s encrypted and secure, meant for meetings with the government, one for you and one for Hector. There will be a meeting twice a week and that’s it for me, have a safe trip." She said and with it she left him holding a fake ID, a diplomatic passport, and two military grade laptops.. with the thought that they again did it.
Once again, they complicated everything with this bullshit. They could have just given him a plain passport with a fake name, but now they made it a diplomatic one and made him look more official... there were so many questions in his mind.
What if they notice it? That too many people with these kinds of passports suddenly going into Maraci? That a so-called committee member just shows up at the embassy?
There were so many unanswered questions, but now this was his only way to get in and out without being touched or questioned... if it works, at least. Because if it doesn’t, it wouldn’t just be James’s problem but an international issue between the two countries. What he thought would be an easy trip had now turned into a force that could really shatter everything, just like Hector said... but running back from this point wasn’t on his mind, though he was worried about it.
They are always complicating things.... He thought as he once again looked at the passport with his face there, photoshopped a little, but even the picture had some flaws.
There was no scar on his ear, not on his face, than he has now which meant they spied on him before.
"James, the money has arrived but, isn’t it too much?" Hector asked as he rolled the suitcase "I mean we already sent money with them, and even cards."
"If anything happens, they would have enough cash to live on their own, so I’m bringing it."
As he said it, Hector just got more stressed about this whole situation, because James looked like he was planning as if they were in the process of collapsing... sending money out to his family like death is upon him... but how could that be when he himself is death to others? But once again, reality was there, in Maraci, everything can go wrong as soon as they land.
"What about the plane?"
"I talked with the FlyHigh and after they realized who you are, you became a VIP member of their company, so the moment you say you’re ready, they give you a plane and off you go... but are you sure about that?" He asked again, his low voice a little hesitant.
"Yeah, who knows, maybe I will meet people who are good at business." James said, but it carried something else, maybe the excitement of all of it, that Maraci is really that dangerous to their kind as they say it, that there is zero crime, not even robbery or nothing.
Something that is just impossible to even think about... and maybe that was James’s shield, that there is no way there is no crime, there is no corruption, because if there is a government, if there is billions of funding, there’s gotta be corruption, power play, and deals in the shadows.
The concept of Maraci looks good, looks like the greatest country, but something just strange about it at the same time. There was public execution and still is... but how does Maraci become one of the richest countries, the playground of the millionaires and billionaires within 4 years after the introduction of new laws after execution, hard labor camps... it’s just strange.
Though if something goes wrong, then the cavalry will come to him, which is the government and the thousand of people in the family... a full on attack.
