Chapter 95: Explanations For New Recruits

Morning came as Ye Jun exhaled a hazy breath, feeling completely refreshed despite spending the whole night cultivating. He opened his eyes and glanced down, frowning.

’It’s working from day one?’

A smelly black substance covered his entire body in small patches, which made him run to the bathroom without any hesitation. As he washed himself, he thought about the cultivation manual. It was really good.

’Just one night.’

Out of one hundred and eight circulations, he only completed a single one. After all, he had to do it himself and his Qi control certainly wasn’t good enough, so he took things slowly, especially when he opened a new meridian.

Fortunately, the first circulation followed the normal routes, with an additional meridian joined in like a bypass. However, his comprehension certainly helped too.

Ye Jun realized that he could learn Qi control much faster now, or as he called it, Qi manipulation. And the cultivation manual being so difficult and risky helped too.

If this continued, he could catch up to others in a few weeks or months. That was quite a feat considering his peers spent years controlling Qi.

’Ah! I do hope I get to pick up Qi manipulation attribute bubbles.’

It also removed impurities from his body, hence the black substance. It had a visible effect as his Qi flowed much smoother and his physique felt more fit and flexible.

Lastly, he advanced to the Fifth-Stage Qi Condensation Realm.

Closing his eyes, Ye Jun focused on his Dantian and could sense five rapidly spinning vortices of Qi, absorbing Qi from the atmosphere and releasing it into his body.

’It is so similar to the heart system.’

Pleased with the progress, Ye Jun changed into different robes and left his abode. He realized he got a bit better at moving across the smooth surface, though the changes were minuscule.

When he reached the base of the stone bridge which connected the mountain with the sect’s other parts, he found his friends already waiting for him.

He greeted them, making small talk and laughing alongside them. He had never had this type of freedom, so he loved every second of it. Having good friends was just a bonus.

’And I don’t need to worry about their safety. They are safer than me.’

Afterwards, they headed towards the Administration Hall which was located on a steep cliff, making it seem as if the hall was floating in the winds.

Many new recruits like them were also there, who gave them side glances as the four entered the main hall. Ye Jun wasn’t bothered in the least, as he knew his group would attract attention.

He had a handsome face. He admitted that, though he also considered himself not a narcissist for it. Not to mention his tall, muscular physique with a set jawline. He was bound to attract attention.

The same went for Song Liangxue and Meihui. Their beauty garnered attention no matter where they went. They also had this special aura around them, which made others subconsciously focus on them. People were drawn to them.

As if that wasn’t enough, they had an inhuman human walking alongside them. Mountain easily dwarfed everyone else in the sect with his giant-like physique.

If he just stood there unmoving, people would assume he was a stone sculpture. So now they were seeing the same sculpture move around.

"Lowlanders are weird!" Mountain said, still having a bag of fruits surprisingly. "Never seen an Ulankar before? Gawking so much."

"No. Your people live a solitary life, so we rarely interact," Song Liangxue answered him. "For many, Ulankar is a place of legend."

"Get used to it," Ye Jun patted his back.

Their reason for coming to this hall was to register themselves and get the new disciple perks. A uniform, which they changed into in the changing rooms, two Low-Grade Spirit Stones, a Jade Stone, and a few other basic things.

From there, they followed the crowd to a lower plateau using the stone bridges. It was an extension of the same mountain, though Ye Jun wondered if it was natural or man-made. Considering the mountain abodes, it was entirely possible.

The Falcon Fields covered a vast area, with many facilities which the disciples might need to use for their training. The center was filled with many arenas on which people could fight, while the surrounding area was clear, allowing the normal disciples to practice their Mysterious Techniques.

Today, no one practiced there.

Hundreds of new recruits gathered near the central arenas, as the older ones watched everything from a distance. Ye Jun could feel many powerful presences from there. So many people who could defeat him.

’I am still an ant,’ he reminded himself. ’Bright Star City itself is an ant. Nothing much.’

"How about it?" he asked. "Are there Soul Tempering Realm cultivators?"

"Among the older disciples, yes, quite a few," Meihui responded. "The highest is only at Second-Stage though."

"I’m guessing the strongest ones aren’t here," Ye Jun said. "What about the new recruits?"

"Most of them are in the early stages of the Qi Condensation Realm or the late stages of the Body Strengthening Realm. If we’re being accurate, then Mountain is the strongest among the new recruits."

"I see."

They joined with others, and once again, they drew attention. But this time most of it went to Song Liangxue. The heiress of the Song Clan. Not everyone recognized her, but there were quite a few who did.

Ye Jun ignored whatever they did after that and simply focused on observing others. As time passed, he could feel more and more gazes on his group, though no one approached yet.

’The number of older disciples also grew.’

Soon, a shadow fell upon the crowd as a massive Falcon flew over them. A figure jumped off it, landing easily on the central arena.

Han Yuexin dusted off her hands and said, "Welcome, everyone! Welcome to the sect of freedom. Every single one of you is now a part of White Gale Pavilion..."

She went on for a few minutes, which Ye Jun completely ignored. Even here, he couldn’t escape speeches.

Fortunately, Han Yuexin got on track soon.
