Chapter 1506: Chapter 318: Master Gu’s Mighty Arrival

An Yiqing’s gaze wavered, but she did not stop Nan Tian’s actions.

Nan Tian took the materials from the bed, her two rotten hands struggling to flip through them. When she saw Old Master Nan being confined in the bedroom, with no one to even assist him with his basic needs, her hands suddenly clenched tight, red blood splattering across the black and white paper, a shocking sight.

"Ah, ah ah ah..." Nan Tian looked up at An Yiqing, gesturing wildly with her hands as if trying to say something to her. She pointed at the materials, then at herself, her eyes filled with urgency and worry as she looked at An Yiqing.

"You want to see your grandfather, is that it?" An Yiqing asked softly.

Nan Tian nodded vigorously, the look in her eyes brimming with anticipation as she gazed at An Yiqing.

"I will take you to see him, but it’ll take a few days. Your body is too weak, and you need to recover for a few days before you can move. Don’t worry, I’ve already given Old Master the antidote, and now his health is slowly recovering, there won’t be any life-threatening danger."

"Ah ah ah..." Nan Tian’s eyes were full of gratitude, and she wanted to reach out to hug An Yiqing, but remembering her own rotting skin, she stopped abruptly. She looked at the disgusting decayed flesh on her body and slowly lowered her head.

Feelings of bitterness welled up in her heart, and Nan Tian’s tears could no longer be held back as she cried silently. At this moment, a refreshing fragrance filled the air, and two slender arms encircled her gently.

"Don’t be afraid, everything will be fine." An Yiqing held her tightly, gently patting her back like she was a small baby.

Nan Tian’s body stiffened, thinking about the ugly, decayed flesh on her, struggling to pull away from An Yiqing’s embrace, but she found herself held tightly, unable to move away.

"Nan Tian, we’re friends, you don’t need to be like this! In my eyes, regardless of whether you’re disfigured or changed in any way, you are still the lively, smoky-eyed little girl I first met. All this suffering will become your wealth, and nothing will ever defeat you again."

An Yiqing gently patted Nan Tian on the shoulder, and the person who was just struggling in her arms stopped moving, letting out small beast-like whimpers like a wounded kitten.

An Yiqing let out a deep sigh, cry, it’ll be better once you cry it all out!

The entire night, An Yiqing held Nan Tian without moving, and Nan Tian cried for a whole night in An Yiqing’s arms. From initially soft sobs to loud wails, and finally to silent tears, Nan Tian spent the entire night crying out all the betrayal and pain she had been through, a hysterical, desperate release.

An Yiqing knew that Nan Tian had completely accepted her situation. Her crying meant she wanted to pick herself up, wanted to save Old Master Nan, wanted to take back the Nan Family from Nan Yang. Though the hurt she had suffered would not easily be erased, An Yiqing believed Nan Tian was a person of resilient character. Once she got through this, she would be invincible.

When the first ray of morning sunlight shone into the ward, Nan Tian, with red eyes, lifted her head from An Yiqing’s arms. She looked at An Yiqing with tear-filled eyes, a hint of apology in her gaze.

An Yiqing chuckled softly, jokingly said, "Nan Tian, this little wifey look doesn’t suit you; I’m more used to your arrogant, scatterbrained self."

Nan Tian paused, then glared fiercely at An Yiqing, her eyes, missing eyelids though they were, filled with a lively spirit despite their ugliness.

"Alright, you’ve cried all night, have a good sleep. We can talk about everything else later; first, you need to take care of your body."

An Yiqing stood up, stretching her stiff, sore body, then pressed Nan Tian down onto the bed, covering her with a blanket.

Nan Tian did not resist, letting An Yiqing take care of her. This pesky woman was right; health is the capital for revolution, and only by getting healthy could she take back the Nan Family and Old Master from Nan Yang!

Thinking of Nan Yang, Nan Tian’s gaze suddenly turned icy. The pain of discovering the betrayal had long since faded from her heart; she was now filled only with hatred, a deep-seated hatred for Nan Yang!

Pa!

Immersed in sinister thoughts, Nan Tian’s head was suddenly slapped hard, pulling her out of her dark thoughts. Wincing in pain, she rubbed her head, looking at An Yiqing with dissatisfaction.

"What are you looking at? What’s the use of thinking about those things now? Rest well! If I find out you’re thinking about useless things again, I’ll pull your head off and turn it into a spittoon!" An Yiqing raised her eyebrows, righteously threatening her.
