Chapter 1507: Chapter 318: Master Gu’s Domineering Arrival (Part 2)

Nan Tian’s mouth twitched, turning his head to the side, refusing to speak further.

This broken woman, spittoon? What a lousy metaphor?!

After a whole night of tossing and turning, An Yiqing returned to her bedroom with a sore waist and aching back, coincidentally meeting An Zhifeng who was waiting at the door.

"What’s up?" An Yiqing yawned lazily, collapsing onto the sofa like she had no bones.

"Miss, have you forgotten something?" An Zhifeng asked, looking at An Yiqing helplessly. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

An Yiqing paused, her eyes drifting to the calendar hanging on the wall. When she saw the date circled in red, she suddenly realized.

"Let’s postpone the previous plan. With Nan Yang in the Nan Family, they’re like a ticking time bomb. There’s no guarantee they won’t interfere when I launch the project. Let’s wait, wait for the timing to be more mature before taking action."

An Zhifeng nodded. He saw An Yiqing close her eyes in exhaustion, her breathing gradually becoming even and long. An Zhifeng gently covered An Yiqing with a quilt from the bed before turning to leave.

When An Yiqing woke up from her sleep, she was lying on her big bed.

The sky outside the window had darkened. An Yiqing lazily stretched, flopped over with a thud, and laid back on the bed.

Half-awake, she rubbed her eyes, her gaze absent-mindedly staring out the window, only to suddenly find the silhouette of a man on the terrace.

"Who?!" Startled, An Yiqing’s drowsiness vanished in an instant. She quickly got out of bed and dashed towards the terrace. In her room, someone who could make her not sense a single breath was definitely a master!

An Yiqing was on full alert and pushed her inner breath to the maximum. However, just as she reached the terrace, she was firmly embraced in a familiar hug.

The familiar scent in her nose made An Yiqing pause, "Ah Lin?"

"Mm, it’s me."

Above her, Gu Yelin’s voice, familiar to her very bones, rang out. An Yiqing remained dazed for a moment before abruptly lifting her head from Gu Yelin’s embrace. She widened her dewy eyes, disbelievingly looking at the man in front of her, gently touching his cheek, then daringly stroking it before giving it a pinch.

Gu Yelin’s sword-like eyebrows raised, amused and exasperated by An Yiqing’s cute actions. He gently patted An Yiqing’s hair, "Tutu, I’m real, you’re not dreaming."

An Yiqing paused her face-pinching, her pink little mouth slightly opened, revealing a rare silly expression.

"How did you get here?" she asked, puzzled.

"I missed you, so I came."

Though Gu Yelin didn’t say he was worried about An Yiqing facing the Nan Family and Nan Yang alone, An Yiqing understood. A warmth spread in her heart, and she smiled brightly, pulling Gu Yelin into the bedroom.

"Have you eaten? I’ll get the kitchen to prepare some food." As she spoke, she was about to make a call, but Gu Yelin stopped her.

"What’s up, Ah Lin?"

Gu Yelin’s expression was a bit odd. He looked at An Yiqing with amusement, "Tutu, do you know what time it is now?"

"Evening... I actually slept for an entire day, I sleep so much!" An Yiqing remarked foolishly.

Gu Yelin’s lips curved slightly, the smile in his eyes growing stronger, "It’s already the evening of the second day. You slept for two whole days straight."

An Yiqing’s eyes widened, turning to stone in an instant...

...

It wasn’t until An Yiqing checked the calendar on her phone that she reluctantly accepted the fact that she had indeed slept for two days straight. Still in a daze, she was pulled by Gu Yelin out of the bedroom to the kitchen on the first floor.

The little courtyard’s kitchen was rarely used; the Thirteen Blood Generals usually ate out, so the kitchen remained unused.

Gu Yelin sat An Yiqing at the dining table, "I’ll cook. You eat some fruit to fill your stomach first." With that, he placed the washed fruit in front of An Yiqing and turned to walk into the kitchen himself.

"Ah Lin, when did you arrive?" An Yiqing asked, watching Gu Yelin’s busy back while eating nonstop.

"Yesterday afternoon." Gu Yelin replied.

An Yiqing nodded, her mouth stuffed full, making her cheeks puff up, "Why didn’t you wake me when you arrived?"

"You were sleeping so soundly, I couldn’t bear to." Gu Yelin answered again.

An Yiqing grinned broadly, showing a sweet smile: "Ah Lin, you’re so good!"

Gu Yelin’s knife paused in mid-air, he raised an eyebrow at An Yiqing, his eyes filled with warmth.
