Out of Control: Into Your Everything-Chapter 45: Afraid He’ll Be Hurt?
Scarlett Shaw’s eyes immediately switched from panic to anger, glaring at him silently.
Julian Ford’s lips landed on her earlobe.
Warm, moist, soft.
"Trying so hard not to let him know, afraid he’ll be hurt?" He asked, biting her.
Ryan Ford, whether he’s hurt or not, Scarlett had long ceased to care.
But even if she didn’t care, she didn’t have the habit of flaunting such things publicly. Even if the other person was Julian Ford, this was still an undercover relationship that should be kept hidden within, with as few people knowing as possible being the safest choice.
Scarlett kept silent, and Julian assumed she agreed.
The teasing became more reckless.
The curtain of the compartment gently swayed, accompanied by the constant footfall of attendants passing by.
"Bro."
Ryan Ford’s voice suddenly came through the curtain.
At the moment, Scarlett had already been pulled onto Julian Ford’s lap, her waist held firmly by one of his arms as he kissed her breathlessly, unable to make a sound, and could only limply lean against the man’s strong and rigid shoulder, with just a thin layer of curtain beside them.
If Ryan Ford pulled it open, her peach-like blushing and enticing look would immediately be revealed to him.
Scarlett propped herself up, her dark eyes staring intently at Julian Ford, filled with silent protest and plea.
Protesting Julian Ford from doing anything more excessive.
And pleading not to pull back the curtain.
Physical intimacy between a man and a woman is supposed to be an interaction, yet at this moment, only Scarlett was flustered and anxious, her skin reddening.
Julian Ford, by contrast, was calm and collected, with an elegant demeanor.
He scratched her chin with his fingers.
Like teasing a cat.
Scarlett felt humiliated but understood the meaning behind Julian Ford’s actions; he wanted her to please him, and only when he was satisfied would he consider whether to let her be comfortable.
Indeed, even if she managed to please him, he would only consider it.
It was all about having her at his mercy.
"President Ford might be resting, asleep." Aaron Carson’s voice suddenly cut through, "Mr. Ford, if you need anything, why not wait and look for him later?"
Scarlett had never felt Aaron Carson’s Chinese to be so beautiful and pleasing.
It was simply like heavenly music, so touching that tears almost welled up in her eyes.
However, Scarlett hadn’t felt relieved for more than three seconds when the man beneath her spoke with a clear and unhurried tone: "What is it?"
Scarlett: "..."
Ryan Ford: "I want to swap seats with you."
!
Scarlett’s dark eyes widened even more, her pupils trembling, desperately shaking her head towards Julian Ford.
Julian Ford raised his brows slightly.
The fingers that were scraping her chin suddenly pulled back, leisurely fixing his gaze on her, his lips curled into a calm and serene smile.
Scarlett resignedly lowered her head, nervously and tremblingly kissed him.
Trying her best to be pleasing, from the corner of his lips, the prickly chin, to the prominent Adam’s apple of the man.
When the kiss landed on Julian Ford’s collarbone, he suddenly lifted her into the air, causing Scarlett to startle, her body falling back to her seat as Julian Ford pulled the curtain open, casually tossing a blanket over her.
The cloth curtain swayed.
Ryan Ford cast a glance toward Scarlett’s direction, seeing her covered with a blanket, head hidden, curled in the corner looking deeply asleep.
Julian Ford remained in that elegant and composed posture.
He glanced at Ryan Ford faintly, "Still haven’t settled down?"
Ryan Ford’s brow twitched, lips tightening, emotions swirling in his eyes, struggling within before finally retracting his gaze from Scarlett and returning to his original seat.
Sheltered beneath the blanket, Scarlett exhaled deeply, relieved.
The blanket covering her was soft and warm, it seemed Julian Ford had used it earlier, the fabric still holding the man’s customary fresh and cool scent, a familiar fragrance from frequent physical contact between them.
Scarlett retreated like a turtle under the blanket, soon falling drowsily asleep.
She slept deeply, not even dreaming, yet upon awakening, found her head unknowingly poking out of the blanket, resting unluckily on Julian Ford’s shoulder.
Almost at the same moment, Ryan Ford emerged from the washroom, casting his gaze toward her.
"..."
What could she do? She pretended not to see Ryan, with some seriousness, respect, panic, and a touch of exaggerated acting, she quickly raised her head, lowering her eyes to Julian Ford, saying, "President Ford, sorry, my sleeping posture isn’t great, I’m bothering you."
Julian Ford replied indifferently with an "Mm", this time not even bothering to look at her.
Suddenly, Scarlett had an idea and tentatively suggested, "Otherwise, I’ll head back to my seat in Economy class, so as not to crowd you."
Julian Ford: "Mm."
Now it was Scarlett’s turn to be stunned, was Julian Ford being so agreeable?
Where there’s strangeness, there’s truth.
Seeing Julian Ford’s face of calm, seeming to let her go, Scarlett started dragging her feet.
Julian Ford lifted his eyelids lazily, giving her a faint glance, "Still not leaving?"
Scarlett: "Perhaps I should stay right here; President Ford, you specially upgraded my seat, I can’t let down your kind offer."
Julian Ford: "You are indeed crowding me."
Scarlett: "..."
Julian Ford: "You drooled over my shoulder, don’t forget to get the bill from Aaron Carson after arriving in Capitoline and compensate for the clothing."
"..."
Scarlett glared at Julian Ford’s left shoulder, murmuring, "President Ford, I don’t have the habit of sleeping with my mouth open; how could you..."
"How could I?"
You damn well know.
We’ve slept together how many times?!
And your suit, it’s clearly spotless without a trace of drool!
Scarlett felt angry internally, unable to retort under such circumstances, she was about to sullenly stand and move to Economy class when Aaron Carson suddenly asked her, "Speaking of which, Scarlett, how did you end up trapped in the forest that night? I heard from Chloe Grant in the finance department, you took all the supplies and maps away?"
Scarlett moved her lips, "I didn’t."
Aaron Carson: "Then what happened?"
Scarlett: "Listen to Chloe Grant’s words in reverse."
Aaron Carson thought for a moment and then realized something.
Just that the matter was considered resolved, the real one to be punished was Manager Lynch, who was responsible for the training; as for Chloe Grant and Scarlett, nobody seemed to care about who was actually right or wrong.
Other colleagues just saw Scarlett disappearing without reason, returning unharmed, while Chloe Grant got drenched, caught a cold, and thus played the victim.
Scarlett felt quite grateful towards Aaron Carson for asking that one more question to find out the truth, giving him a friendly and sincere smile in return.
Aaron Carson received that smile.
At the same time, Scarlett also met Ryan Ford’s gaze.
Ryan Ford’s peach blossom eyes slightly darkened, speaking his first words to Scarlett since boarding the plane: "You got trapped in the mountains? Chloe Grant did that?"
