Chapter 182: Chapter 180: Companionship

Simon Forrester came out of the shower, and Jack Hawthorne was still mumbling in the voice meeting. Simon said, "I’m going to rest first," and then exited the voice meeting.

He glanced at the room, seeing Sienna Thornton lying on the sofa with a wine glass in one hand, staring blankly at the night view outside the floor-to-ceiling window.

She was wearing pure cotton shorts, with her legs resting on the sofa armrest, her slender arm suspended, holding a wine glass with a little bit of wine left in it.

Simon walked over, glanced at the wine bottle on the table, and saw that most of it was gone.

He sat down on the single sofa opposite her, took a sip of the red wine on the table, and looked at her worriedly with his deep eyes, soft-spokenly saying, "Why did you drink so much?"

"I’m annoyed."

He frowned, downing his wine, then rose and walked to her side.

She cooperated by shifting her body, leaving a little space for him.

"What’s bothering you? Want to talk about it?"

She instinctively wrapped her hands around his neck, her eyes slightly red, softly asking, "Shall we dance?"

"Sure." He turned to pick up his phone, and soon, gentle instrumental music began to play.

He held her and stood up, his hands encircling her waist, while she wrapped her arms around his neck, their bodies closely pressed together, moving slowly and in sync to the rhythm of the music.

It was more like holding each other quietly, feeling the time spent together, than it was dancing.

As the alcohol kicked in, her steps became unsteady, occasionally muttering some incoherent words, and sometimes she seemed as quiet as a sorrowful child.

When she was silent, he quietly accompanied her; when she wanted to talk, he was her most faithful listener.

The night grew deep, the night view outside Victoria Harbour still splendid as they embraced and fell asleep.

Tonight, there was no physical intimacy, just the deepest companionship.

"Oh no!"

Simon Forrester was still dreaming when a sudden scream from the bathroom startled him awake. He almost immediately jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom.

Sienna Thornton was facing the mirror and patting her face: "Oh no, why is my face swollen?"

Simon looked at her speechlessly, still recovering from his fright, shaking his head: "I thought you slipped and fell in the bathroom again!"

Sienna giggled: "No way? I learned my lesson and I’m very careful now!"

After saying that, she turned back to the mirror and clutched her face: "My face is swollen, go to the fridge and get me some ice cubes. Quickly."

Simon was rendered speechless by her antics; he should have woken up in a grumpy mood, but he couldn’t muster any anger.

What a pair they were, he thought.

Fetching some ice cubes, Sienna took them and wrapped them in a towel, icing her face and yelping from the cold.

He also lost all sense of sleepiness, brushed his teeth, washed his face, and took a shower before going out to change clothes.

Sienna took her time coming out, but when she did, her face was indeed less swollen.

Though swollen or not, she looked the same to him, always beautiful. Simon thought.

After having breakfast at the hotel, they took a taxi to Madame Tussauds, and it was almost noon.

During the National Day holidays, there were many tourists at the wax museum, making it a bit crowded.

After buying tickets and entering, Sienna immediately handed over her phone to Simon Forrester: "Take a few pictures of me later, okay?"

Simon responded with a "sure," thinking she wanted to take photos with some male celebrities, but unexpectedly, she headed straight to the foreign leaders’ exhibition area, taking selfies with several international presidents.

After making a round, she noticed some young girls queuing up to take photos with popular male celebrities like Dylan Wilde and Jay Chaucer. Simon glanced at the disinterested Sienna and casually asked, "Do you want to take a photo with a celebrity?"

"No need. What about you?" Sienna pointed to Celia Linwood’s wax figure not far away, "She’s quite pretty and very tall."

Simon glanced over, chuckled: "Why do you think I like tall women?"

Sienna tightened her grip around his arm, laughing: "Because you like me. Every man has a type they’re attracted to, I’ve heard."

"I don’t know about others, but that’s not me."

"Then what are you like?"

As they walked towards the exit, Simon remained silent for a while, letting Sienna look up at him, mimicking his accent, asking, "Then what are you like?"

Simon hugged her shoulders, glanced at her, his lips curving into an intriguingly smile: "I’ll tell you later."

After leaving the wax museum, they immediately headed to Disneyland across the island.

The journey was about thirty to forty kilometers, crossing two seas, and the most economical way was taking the special bus line from Tung Chung to Disneyland, taking over an hour and only costing thirty bucks, far more affordable than nearly three-hundred-dollar taxi fare.

Sienna remarked: "Traveling with a tycoon is very different, staying at five-star hotels and taking taxis everywhere."

Simon gave a faint smile and corrected: "This is already a very civilian style of travel. If I were traveling alone, I’d stay in extremely luxurious hotels, always have chauffeured cars."

Sienna playfully nudged him and pretended to be angry: "So you’re saying, being with me lowers your living standards? I’m a burden?"

Simon laughed, without replying.

Expecting Sienna to throw some harsh words, she instead hooked his chin and imperatively said, "Once I stand firm at the Forrester Group, earning millions annually, I’ll treat you to a luxurious trip to Zahrat."

Simon pursed his lips and smiled: "Okay, we’ll soon be able to go to Zahrat, not just Zahrat but around the world."

Sienna hugged him, laughing gleefully.

Sienna wanted to visit Disneyland mainly to see the nighttime castle fireworks, but once they entered the park and found it was getting dark, they learned the castle was under maintenance, and the fireworks show was suspended.

She frowned, wearing a Mickey-ear hair clip gloomily: "Oh, if I’d known, I wouldn’t have come all this way, such a hassle."

Seeing her downcast, Simon wanted to cheer her up, so he said: "You like Disney’s castle fireworks so much, let me tell you a poignant love story related to it."

Hearing this, she perked up, lifting her face full of anticipation.

"I had a classmate who, at his brother’s engagement party, fell in love at first sight with his future sister-in-law. But his brother was a scumbag, who cheated not long after their engagement. Then he took his sister-in-law to Los Angeles to catch the cheater. After doing so, somehow, they ended up having fun at Los Angeles Disney. That girl, like you, was there for the castle fireworks. That night, as the fireworks soared, he suddenly wanted to kiss her. But she wasn’t even eighteen yet, technically not an adult. Yet he really wanted to kiss her, can you guess what happened?"
