Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 183 - 181: The Ring
Sienna Thornton had stars in her eyes, "Wow, so romantic. How did he kiss her in the end? Like how you kissed my finger?"
"Finger?" Simon Forrester was taken aback for a moment, then remembered. On the day of the guesthouse ribbon-cutting, they were in a room together, and Sienna Thornton wouldn’t let him kiss her, covering her mouth. In a moment of passion, he grabbed her finger and started nibbling on it.
The past is better left in the past.
Simon Forrester flicked her forehead with his finger.
It was just past 7 PM. The entire park was beautifully adorned with lights, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Even without the castle fireworks, Disneyland at night was still wonderfully vibrant.
Simon Forrester held Sienna Thornton as they strolled through the park. Two girls wearing Mickey masks walked towards them, and Simon suddenly laughed, "He bought that girl a mask, so he kissed her through it. Though he didn’t actually kiss her, it was still ceremonious."
Sienna Thornton hadn’t expected this move, and teasingly hugged Simon Forrester’s waist, "You’re both classmates, why aren’t your flirting skills as good as his?"
"I’ll find time to call him for lessons, then come home and woo you in various ways."
Sienna Thornton burst into laughter, then seriously said, "Better not, your flirting skills might get so good, you might go outside and flirt with others, and I’d just be asking for trouble."
"Glad you understand."

They left Disneyland, grabbed a bite near the hotel, and returned to their room late at night.
With full-day shopping lined up for the next two days, an activity that could leave one’s legs sore, Sienna Thornton in the elevator repeatedly ordered Simon Forrester not to fool around and to sleep early.
But, human emotions at their peak often can’t be deterred by plans.
As soon as the door was locked, with lights still off, Simon Forrester cornered Sienna Thornton against the wall.
In the darkness, Sienna Thornton was like a frightened little animal, apprehensively wary of the big beast about to pounce on her at any moment.
But her feeble, helpless appearance only further provoked the big beast.
The big beast pounced on the little beast, trapping it in his arms, making the little beast whimper...

The next day.
The luxury stores in Azure Harbor were mostly concentrated in the Central District; just the Landmark Plaza alone could keep Sienna Thornton shopping all day.
It was early autumn, and many shops had launched new fall and even winter collections.
Sienna Thornton felt she had never been so happy and satisfied buying clothes as she did now. Not just clothes, she also bought cosmetics, perfume, bags, and shoes in one go.
She wasn’t greedy; she didn’t need many clothes, nor did they need to be expensive. Whatever she chose had to be practical and cost-effective.
Simon Forrester patiently accompanied her the entire time, holding the bags, paying, and occasionally offering aesthetic advice. If he approved, Sienna Thornton felt it must be fine, considering his picky taste and excellent vision.
There were so many things they couldn’t carry them all, so they arranged for the mall to deliver them to the hotel.
That evening, after a bath, Sienna Thornton started organizing her spoils. She tried to pack as many small items into her suitcase to take home, while the larger items, impossible to fit, would be sent back to Brimfield via logistics.
Once she finished organizing, she was too tired to move. Collapsing onto the bed, she told Simon Forrester, "I want to sleep in the hotel tomorrow, not shop. My legs are going to break!"
Simon Forrester pulled her feet onto his lap and massaged them, saying, "I still have things to buy. We’ll continue tomorrow."
Sienna Thornton moaned, "Ah! Will it be far? I really don’t want to shop in a faraway place!"
"Not far, it’s nearby."
"But I want to go to The Golden Sage Temple tomorrow."
"It doesn’t interfere."
On the fourth day in Azure Harbor, Simon Forrester took Sienna Thornton to a place.
As soon as they got out of the car and saw the golden shop, Sienna Thornton immediately became alert and asked, "Are you going to buy me jewelry?"
"I’m buying a gift for someone. Come in and help me choose." With that, he went in.
Sienna Thornton frowned, watching Simon Forrester already warmly welcomed by the shop assistants inside, unsure of his intentions, but had no choice but to follow in.
Simon Forrester didn’t head for the luxury section, just browsed the common wedding ring area.
Sienna Thornton sat beside him, just as the shop assistant laid out several rings on the counter.
Simon Forrester picked up a gold band and asked, "What do you think of this one?"
Sienna Thornton glanced at the one in his hand, then at the display, nodding, "Simple and elegant, not bad."
Simon Forrester then gave the assistant two numbers for packaging.
When they left, Simon Forrester carried the small bag himself the whole time, without mentioning who the pair of rings were for.
Sienna Thornton instinctively thought it might be for a friend of his getting married, hence buying the rings as a gift.
For sure, they weren’t for themselves. For one thing, neither had their finger sizes measured, and Simon Forrester wouldn’t wear a ring worth ten thousand dollars.
They had lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant at the hotel, then napped, planning to visit The Golden Sage Temple in the afternoon and Victoria Peak for the night view.
Sienna Thornton didn’t usually seek blessings from deities, never asking for divine protection. But with Melinda Linton not being well, she’s learning to be devout.
Yet, standing in front of the divine presence, she prayed not only for Melinda Linton but for her biological father and Simon Forrester.
She was devout, kneeling on the prayer mat, hands clasped, eyes closed, praying for the health and longevity of Melinda Linton and her biological father, and for Simon Forrester’s health, career success, happiness, and joy.
After coming out, she asked Simon Forrester, "What did you wish for?"
Simon Forrester held her shoulder, earnestly saying, "If I tell, it won’t come true."
Sienna Thornton playfully pouted, "Then I won’t tell you either."
"You should tell me. It might increase the chances of it coming true."
Sienna Thornton shook off his hand, "Who are you trying to fool? Not telling!" With that, she ran off.
The two of them returned to the hotel, took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and had a bite from the buffet before taking a cab to Victoria Peak, avoiding the tram queue.
It was 8 PM at the time. At the Sky Terrace viewing deck atop the peak, the wind was blowing, and it was a bit chilly.
Sienna Thornton stood on the deck, overlooking the city of Azure Harbor.
The glorious lights of Victoria Harbour and the Central District across the way glimmered under the night sky, reminiscent of scattered fireflies within a canyon. The tiny figures seemed as if standing before a colossal silver screen, feeling both the distant and close starry sky, so beautiful and three-dimensional.
Sienna Thornton’s heart was enveloped in awe, feeling that before such grandeur, her inner emotions paled, not enough to warrant worry.
Simon Forrester held her, and she nestled against his chest, as he occasionally kissed her hair, openly expressing his affection for her.
After sitting for a while, the chill from her fingertips abruptly transmitted to her brain, causing Sienna Thornton to instinctively retract her hand, vigilantly eyeing Simon Forrester slipping a ring onto her left-hand ring finger.
She instinctively asked, "Why are you putting a ring on me?"
