Chapter 710: All For You 2 (Ch.711)

Neveah quickly composed herself, reality or not, Neveah did know this was a result Alessio was more than capable of... this was even the least he was capable of.

It was equally a result Lothaire deserved, there was nothing to feel bad about, except the fact that the killer was just another version of his victim.

Neveah’s gaze moved back to Alessio who watched her expectantly, a hopeful smile on his lips, she was not certain what reaction he was hoping to receive but she did not bother to conceal the look of disgust and disdain.

"You are nuts... completely." Neveah muttered with a shake of her head.

Neveah attempted to leave but Alessio moved swiftly, blocking Neveah’s path so she could not.

"Wait...wait... don’t leave..." Alessio rushed out, reaching for Neveah’s hand.

Neveah moved away from his hold, her brows furrowed slightly.

"I killed him. I killed him, I did this for us, Omega. So we can finally be together...he would never allow it! He was going to sell you off to the highest bidder and I stopped him!" Alessio explained hurriedly.

Neveah tried to side step but Alessio grabbed Neveah’s wrist and held on.

"Let go!" Neveah hissed darkly.

Alessio did the exact opposite, he pulled Neveah to himself, hugging her tightly to his chest. So tightly that it almost felt crushing and it was a struggle to breathe.

Neveah struggled fiercely, she was not certain if it was a trait of Lothaire’s bloodline, but the one thing she was most familiar with was witnessing Lothaire and Alessio paint reality in a way that would always justify their every action.

In a way that they were always right and nothing else mattered but their own will.

"You didn’t do this for me, you did this for you. You have long detested Lothaire for how he raised you to be just like him! You covet your father’s throne and we both know it! You also know well enough that Lothaire never planned on passing on his throne to you anytime soon, he would never give up his crown...not while he lived."

"You did this for you! So get out of my way!" Neveah replied darkly, finally shoving Alessio away from her.

She snatched the dagger that was hung on his belt and fiercely plunged it right into Alessio’s chest.

Alessio’s eyes widened, staring into Neveah’s hateful glare, he grabbed the hilt of the dagger and placed a hand over Neveah’s hand that still held on tightly to the hilt.

"Hear me out, he hurt you...he just kept hurting you! I had to do something..." Alessio explained himself, his voice pained.

"And you didn’t?!" Neveah asked in a dark snarl, twisting the dagger even deeper, so his satin shirt quickly soaked up with his blood.

Alessio let her, his hand just rested over hers but he did not try to fight Neveah off.

Neveah stared at her hand that still held the dagger, a distant sense of horror churning within her.

’He’s not real... he’s not real.’ Neveah reminded herself, calming the rage and vengeance surging within her veins as the dark memories flooded her mind.

Neveah pulled her hand back, shoving Alessio away from her and she watched as he crumbled to his knees, gasping in pain.

"If you want to make things right, one severed head will not suffice. Give me your mother’s and yours also... burn the entire Eclipse Palace to the ground until nothing is left of you all! Then... maybe then..." Neveah trailed off,

Deep within, Neveah knew it did not matter anymore. None of this mattered.

Neveah glanced over at the ripple in the air, a grunt of frustration escaped her as she realized it had disappeared and was now replaced by the tree that should always have been there.

"Love and hate...as mirrors, they both reflect..." Alessio said, now gazing up at Neveah with a complicated expression in his eyes.

"This is what you have always wanted, is it not? Here, you can have it all... the version of me you have always desired. So why leave?" Alessio asked again.

"I have never wanted you...in any version of reality." Neveah made clear.

Neveah wasted no time dashing off, Alessio would heal and catch up easily but that did not mean Neveah would not try to get away from him.

’The ripple had been right there...until I let him get into my head and snapped. This reality...it feeds off of my emotions, the longer I stay here...the harder it will become to leave.’ Neveah realized as she darted through the woods as fast as her severely weakened form allowed.

Neveah knew where she would head to next, it was the first place she had seen Xenon’s dragon form and if that did not work, then there was the place Jian had first shared his thoughts to Neveah’s mind.

But she would keep trying... she just had to.

________________

Neveah panted heavily, her muscles ached from how far she had run and yet it was all to no avail.

It was already dawn now and Neveah could pick up on the sound of paws hitting the ground and furious growls.

If she was the one being hunted or the Eclipse warriors had just taken notice of Lothaire’s murder and were after the culprit, Neveah could not tell but she could not afford to wait around to find out.

Neveah glanced up at the rushing waterfall, her heart trembling within her.

Neveah had already been to every point she could recall encountering Xenon or Jian in the woods but she had been a step too late on each occasion.

Just like at the tree, the ripple disappeared just when Neveah was getting close to it.

And now, this was the final place...

Neveah hurriedly made her way to the cave concealed behind the waterfall where she had hidden Xenon from Alessio.

With the Eclipse warriors on her trail, she had no time to carefully cross the small lake and so she wadded straight into it.
