Omega's Rebirth-Chapter 369: Battling The Troll Golem ()
In the very depths of the forest, an earth shaking roar rang out across the wide expanse as the troll golem revealed it’s true form.
Bursts of dark magical energy exploded from the troll golem during it’s transformation and spread across the forest in waves, knocking down trees and sending dust and debris flying everywhere.
The air was thick with that awful stench of death and dark magic, the full force of that terrible stench that had been somehow concealed in its disguise was fully unleashed.
A mound of decaying corpses fell shy of the horrible scent radiating off the great beast as it let out another earth shaking roar.
There in the same part of the forest, Jian watched the troll golem’s transformation, his predator rising to the surface and awaiting the timely moment to attack.
The dark magical energy pouring off the troll golem was too intense during it’s transformation, Jian would not be able to get close.
In a moment, a gigantic beast towered over the forest, a great beast thrice Jian’s own size in dragon form.
It was a horrifying sight to look at, with skin of bloated and decaying flesh melded together in their hundreds.
The troll golem was a beast forged out of the remains of the dead to form the likeness of a monstrous troll kind.
Its four limbs were as large as tree trunks, its fore limbs reaching down far too close to its heel than should have been right.
Each limb ended up in sharp, terrifying claws and there were long tentacles dangling from its palm.
The beast’s face was even more hideous, Jian’s brows furrowed in disgust at the sight.
Dark magic was detestable, but the art of necromancy was one form of dark magic that was too horrid for Jian to even comprehend.
How anyone would conjure up a living beast out of thousands of dead bodies and let it ravage and terrorise innocents.
Jian could not perfectly describe the entirety of the beast, it had been centuries since he last faced a troll golem but this golem in particular was far worse than anything Jian remembered.
The transformation came to it’s end and as the outburst of dark magical energy settled, the beast attacked, a large fist coming down on where Jian stood from above.
This was it, the battle had begun.
Jian dove out of the way just as the golem’s fist as heavy as a boulder crashed into the ground, breaking through the outer layer and forming a large crater where Jian had just been.
Jian traded his human skin for his dragon form mid leap, shooting up into the sky right out of the cloud of dust and debris.
He rose up to the troll golem’s height and then stabilized his flight.
The towering trees stood as silent witnesses, their branches reaching out like gnarled fingers,
But they were not the only witnesses, the gigantic beast towered over the forest itself at full transformation and the battle could be seen for miles.
Jian lunged at the beast, marking the beginning of a dance of fire and death.
The troll golem roared in rage to find Jian had escaped it’s attack and the tentacles extending from it’s other palm shot at Jian.
The majestic beast with scales shimmering like molten gold cut through the air, his wings spread out wide as he glided.
His large orbs gleamed with killing intent, they centered on the tentacles approaching and the golden scaled dragon inclined to the left, evading the first of the tentacles while his claws swiped out to slash the rest in quick successions.
Black blood spurted out of the slashed tentacles, spilling everywhere and the troll golem let out a pained shriek, a truly horrid sound that echoed across the forest.
The speed of the golden scaled beast was not hindered in anyway, neither was he intimidated by the enraged roar of the troll golem that followed after.
The troll golem shot even more tentacles at the golden beast, in a bid to restrain the golden beast, but the golden beast was faster.
Flight was as natural to him as breath was and manoeuvring the elements came to him with ease, above all, he was a battle hardened dragon.
The golden beast skillfully took out the tentacles one after the other, spinning through the air at awe inspiring speed,
He exuded an aura of primal power. Its wings, broad and imposing, stretched out, casting a shadow over the forest floor.
Jian’s eyes burned with ferocity, the troll golem kept Jian from getting too close to its true body and the reason for it was soon obvious.
It’s tentacles regenerated with ease and as much as Jian slashed off, they only regrew again in a short time, revealing an astonishing ability beyond self healing.
The troll golem was also tactical in its attack, it’s tentacles barricading Jian from every side, and it’s fists making killing strikes, making it a difficult endeavour to advance or retreat.
Whoever had conjured this troll golem was not one to be trifled with, amongst the dark sorcerers that had stood at the peak of the world in those times, just how many were so excelled in necromancy?
Jian surveyed the surroundings, calculating the best way to get close enough to bring this battle to a swift end.
’Just how much of yourself can you regenerate?’ Jian thought to himself.
There was only so much time he could bother to expend on the tentacles and so with a deadly roar, Jian banked to the side sharply, shooting forwards,
Jian’s tail, a long and lethal appendage, curved out at the end like the sharp head of a mighty spear.
It launched out, slashing down on the arm of the troll golem, the sharp tail sliced through the thick flesh of the troll golem with ease, severing the arm of the troll golem from just around the wrist.
"My Liege!" Menarx’s familiar voice echoed in Jian’s mind.
"You’re late, clear me a path." Jian thought back.
Jian swirled away from the blood spurting out, shooting forwards with a murderous gleam in his eyes.
