Chapter 156: I Refuse To Be Trapped Here!
Leo continued to travel through the dungeon while killing any monsters or devils that tried to attack him. As he reached the eighteenth floor, a strange aura smashed into his body, causing him to think. ’What’s going on here? Why does it feel like it’s pulling me toward it?’
He shrugged and continued until reaching the nineteenth-floor entrance, only for the feeling to grow strong. By the time Leo reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw a portal floating above a swamp.
’Oh, that’s how they’re getting into this world,’ he thought when sensing the devil aura radiating from it.
Leo stepped forward, ready to approach, but a sudden surge of instinct sent alarms ringing through his mind. His body reacted before his thoughts could catch up. He tilted back just as a fist came hurtling past his face, missing him by mere inches.
’’That was close!’’ he muttered.
His eyes widened, the force of the near-hit sending a gust of wind against his skin. But there was no time for hesitation. With lightning speed, he twisted his body and unleashed a Supernova Punch that connected with the devil.
The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the air as it connected, the sheer force shaking the ground beneath him. He followed that up by casting Mana Barrier as several spells struck.
Explosions shook the ground, but his smile grew wider before returning the attack with dozens of Thunderbolts and Fireballs that materialized above her. He dropped his hand, and the projectiles sliced through the air.
Leo watched as the spells struck their targets, detonating in fiery bursts that consumed the enemies, reducing them to nothing but ash. The battlefield trembled as a horde of monstrous creatures surged out of the swamp, their roars echoing through the chaos.
Undeterred, he tightened his grip on his weapon and charged forward, clashing with the devils that emerged from the shadows. Each strike sent shockwaves through the air. But for every enemy he killed, more took their place, their numbers seemingly endless.
Yet, with unyielding determination, he fought on, his aura blazing like a star amidst the darkness. His strength overwhelmed the devils just as he sensed something was strange coming from the portal, causing him to approach it.
When Leo got close, he looked around as a giant enemy suddenly tackled him into the portal just as he countered. He drove his elbow into the monster’s neck, but it was too late, as his only way out was sealed behind them.
’’What?!’’ his eyes widened in shock. ’’I refuse to be trapped here!’’
The thought pounded through his mind like a war drum, his pulse quickening as he scanned his surroundings, searching for an escape, but only saw a desolate land stretching in all directions.
A fiery crimson sky stretched endlessly above the desolate world Leo now stood in, casting an eerie glow over the barren wasteland. The air crackled with energy, thick with the scent of ash and brimstone.
Without warning, the devils struck again, their ferocity greater than before. Their attacks came faster, sharper, each blow carrying a newfound strength. Leo moved instinctively, deflecting a flurry of strike, his muscles tensing as he studied their movements.
’They’re stronger here, it seems,’ he realized, his mind racing even as he fought. ’Maybe because I’m fighting them in their homeworld?’
Leo smirked, unfazed, as he charged headfirst into the horde of devils. With godlike strength coursing through his veins, he crushed them with a single, earth-shattering blow. His California Smash sent shockwaves and obliterated dozens in an instant.
Then came the Supernova Punch, a strike so powerful it ignited the very air, vaporizing enemies in a blinding explosion. One after another, the devils fell, their monstrous cries drowned by the raw force of his attacks.
Ten minutes later, the fight was over, as no more foes dared to appear. Leo stood victorious, the battlefield littered with nothing but the ashes of his enemies. This gave him a chance to rest as he flew around, looking for a place to sit down and eat something.
Leo searched for a while until he spotted a lake and landed beside it before slumping down and catching his breath. He pulled out some water and drank some, which refreshed him as he tried to teleport to the domain, but nothing happened.
’’Damn, how am I going to get out of here?’’ he muttered while eating some bread.
While sitting there, the goddess’s voice echoed in his mind. ’My love, you’ll need to beat the devil king to return to the real world, but this is an excellent opportunity for you.’
’’How so?’’ he replied.
’This place will help you level until you’re stronger than the king, then you can beat him before returning to help in the war,’ she revealed.
Leo smiled when hearing this and continued resting until several powerful aura’s was heading in his direction. He looked at them with a big smile as they crashed into the ground nearby.
Before the enemy could react, Leo became a blur of destruction, launching himself into the fray like a storm of fury. As the devilish leader opened his mouth to boast, Leo struck, lightning-fast and mercilessly.
His fists crashed into the demons with the force of a cataclysm, sending shockwaves tearing through the battlefield. Booms and explosions erupted as his unstoppable blows shattered the very air, reducing the creatures to dust before they could even scream.
Following that, Leo tore through the Devil Realm like a vengeful storm, his fists leaving nothing but craters and lifeless husks in his wake. Every step sent shockwaves rippling through the cursed land as devils lunged at him, only to be obliterated in an instant.
Fire and lightning crackled around him, the air thick with the scent of ash and burning flesh, as his magic was too much for the enemy. He carved a path of annihilation through the strange realm. Then, as the last foe fell, he looked up, and there it was.
A massive obsidian castle, its spires clawing at the blood-red sky, radiating an aura of malice. A smirk crossed Leo’s lips. ’’Looks like a boss lives here and is as strong as me. This is going to be fun.’’
Leo started flying toward the massive obsidian castle, his eyes burning with excitement at the chance to grow even stronger and to get rid of a new enemy that appeared. But before he could reach its gates, the ground trembled violently.
From the shadow of a jagged mountain, colossal giants appeared, their bodies carved from blackened stone and muscle, their eyes glowing with fury. With earth-shaking roars, they charged, each step like a thunderclap, their monstrous weapons raised to crush him.
He didn’t flinch, but rocketed forward, his fists crackling with raw power. The first giant swung a club the size of a tower. He vanished only for it to appear above its head. His fist collided with its skull like a meteor, shattering it into rubble.
Another lunged, but Leo grabbed its arm, twisting with godlike strength, sending the massive beast hurtling into its kin. The battlefield erupted in chaos, him versus the giants. Each punch sent shockwaves tearing through the land.
One by one, the Titans fell, their deafening cries fading into silence. As the last collapsed, sending a final quake through the realm, Leo cracked his knuckles, his gaze locking onto the castle once more.
’’Well, that was easy, and I already leveled up with is stupid,’’ he muttered before strolling toward the castle.
Seconds later, a wave of mana blasts headed for him. Leo smiled before casting Mana Barrier that blocked the attacks. Explosions erupted all around and shook the ground, but that didn’t stop him from countering.
With a wave of his hand, blazing Fireballs and crackling Thunderbolts erupted, streaking through the air like meteors. The projectiles crashed into the devil’s fortress. An explosion tore through the castle, shaking the very foundations.
The sky lit up with a fiery glow as shockwaves rippled across the battlefield, a testament to Leo’s unstoppable power. Leo chuckled at the aftermath and kept casting spells into the barrier protecting the castle.
After non-stop spell casting, he needed a break, and the devils were panicking, as they didn’t know when his magic would end. He found one giant and sat down while waiting for the leader to appear.
’It should be here soon,’ he mused while glancing around. ’This place looks like hell with normal landscapes.’
Leo stood at the edge of a vast grassland, the once-green blades now a deep brown, yet the land thrummed with an undeniable vitality. Mana surged through the earth, a quiet yet powerful pulse that seemed to breathe life into everything it touched.
The air shimmered with arcane energy, flowing through the grass, the trees, and the very soil beneath his feet. While doing that, a powerful aura appeared from the devil’s castle which made his smile grow wide.
’’Finally, the boss is here,’’ he muttered.
