Chapter 155: Devils... Again!

Leo and the women rested in Astra’s quarters as they waited for the border fortress to be completed and for the war to start, which excited him. Seated comfortably, Leo sifted through a stack of papers, documents compiled by Veladra, listing every dungeon within the empire.

His eyes scanned the pages, absorbing the information, while the others relaxed around him. ’I can go around collecting dungeon monsters for the war,’ he thought with a knowing smile. ’Maybe I should take out the strongest first.’

With that, Leo suddenly stood up, which caught everyone’s attention, causing Astra to ask in a curious tone as she stopped reading the book in her hands. ’’What’s wrong, master?’’

’’I’m going to capture more dungeons before the Alliance’s main army gets to the border,’’ he replied with a confident expression while cracking his knuckles with a big smile.

The demon woman let out a chilling giggle as Roxy, Luna, and Bella stared at him, their eyes wide with panic, but Astra spoke. ’’Just like father, how can a human be the perfect Demon King?’’

When hearing this, the three girls looked shocked as the tanned beauty jumped up while exclaiming. ’’You’re the king! I fucking knew you were destined for something greater, babe!’’

Bella and Luna agreed with nods as the redhead added. ’’Who better to build an empire than our lover? The strongest being in the world.’’

’’We can help him run it,’’ the blue-haired girl said with an excited voice.

Leo got happy when hearing this and clenched his fist while declaring. ’’This world is mine now. I am the Demon King who brings peace to this planet and makes sure no one suffers like I did when a little boy.’’

Astra looked concerned, but Leo merely smiled. Noticing their worry, especially given the formidable power of some dungeons, he offered a reassuring glance before speaking in a calm, unwavering voice. ’’Don’t worry. There’s little left in this world that can truly harm me.’’

Following that, he hugged each of them before approaching the balcony to fly towards the first dungeon. While doing that, he checked his status to see any gains he earned from all the fighting.

’Oh, this is good,’ he thought before summoning the Demon King’s armor that instantly appeared. ’It always feels satisfying to have this on.’

Following that, Leo flew toward the first Rank S dungeon that was buried deep inside a dangerous mountain range. An hour later, he appeared above a powerful castle with thousands of demon soldiers, making sure no monsters escaped.

Upon spotting the entrance, Leo surged forward, only to be halted by a sinister, all-too-familiar aura. His eyes narrowed, fury igniting within him. ’Devils... again!’ he thought, his blood boiling. ’What are they doing here?’ fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Before he could dwell on it, a powerful figure burst from the dungeon, radiating dark energy. But Leo was faster as he shot forward, his fist crackling with mana. A deafening explosion rocked the mountains as his Supernova Punch connected, shattering the air with its force.

The force of the blow sent the devil hurtling backward, crashing violently into the dungeon entrance, leaving behind a shockwave that shook the very earth. Leo felt the experience pouring into his body.

’Did I kill it with one punch?’ he mused, with glowing blue eyes.

Following that, Leo entered Rank S dungeon and instantly knew something was wrong, causing him to send Astra a message. ’More devils are coming from a dungeon. I will clear them out but make sure that the Demon Guards are prepared to fight.’

’Okay Master, be careful,’ she replied in a concerned voice.

Leo glanced around the first chamber and noticed it was a forest that was infested with all kinds of monsters that he was sensing. Moments later, he started heading toward the entrance to the second floor.

As Leo stepped into the treeline, a chorus of rage-filled roars erupted, shaking the forest to its core. In the distance, trees trembled and parted as something massive barreled forward.

Then he saw it, a towering, rhino-like beast, its armored hide glistening with raw power as it charged straight at him, intent on crushing everything in its path. ’The first monster to die,’ Leo thought, his eyes glowing an intense blue.

Without hesitation, he surged forward, the ground cracking beneath his steps. As the monster closed in, Leo reared back his fist and unleashed a California Smash, his strike colliding squarely with the beast’s head.

Shockwaves rippled through the air from the sheer force, and instantly, the monstrous creature hurtled backward before crashing into a tree with a sickening thud as it landed on the ground, the earth quaking beneath its massive frame.

’’Oh, that was powerful,’’ Leo muttered with an excited smile.

Leo dashed forward, his movements a blur as he unleashed a relentless barrage of punches. Each strike cracked like thunder, sending shockwaves through the air as the massive rhino-like beast was battered backward, its heavy form crashing through the forest.

Without missing a beat, he pressed on, stepping into the depths of the dungeon. His glowing blue eyes cut through the darkness as he moved like a storm, tearing through every creature in his path.

Claws, fangs, and roars met him, but none could slow his advance. Each enemy fell in an instant, crushed beneath his overwhelming power. The first floor became a battlefield, a graveyard of monsters left in his wake.

After an hour of fighting, Leo ended up in a clearing on the second floor when he came across the first devil that was waiting for him. The creature’s smile grew wide before taunting him. ’’So the false Demon King has arrived? How can that race choose a human out of all beings?’’

Leo scoffed, his voice laced with amusement as he addressed the devil before him. ’’Look, I’m not here for a conversation, nor do I care to hear your wicked schemes,’’ he said with a chuckle, his eyes burning with cold fury.

’’I’ll just kill every devil I find, tearing your plans apart piece by piece. And when your leader finally shows up...’’ He paused, his smirk turning sinister. ’’I’ll brutalize him in front of any survivors.’’

Before the devil could react, Leo exploded forward with such force that the ground shattered beneath him, sending trees flying from their roots. In the blink of an eye, he was upon his enemy.

Leo’s California Smash struck with earth-shattering force, sending the devil hurtling backward as shockwaves tore through the battlefield. Dust and debris filled the air, but he only smiled.

’It seems like it’s not over yet,’ he thought in excitement.

More devils emerged from the shadows, their dark eyes burning with malice as they surrounded him. But he welcomed the challenge. The devils lunged at him with fury, but they didn’t stand a chance.

Leo moved like a force of nature, his fists crashing into them. Every strike shattered bones, every blow sent bodies flying. They tried to overwhelm him, but his sheer strength made it effortless.

He tore through them like a reaper culling the damned. An hour later, dozens of devils lay dead and his level was shooting up like never before, which shocked him. ’Should I go look for more of them? Maybe their king will give me even more?’ he mused.

Following that, Leo continued through the dungeon while slaughtering any devils he came across. After a few hours of this, the creatures were fleeing from him after hundreds died into his fists.

’’Let’s sit down and catch my breath,’’ he muttered while scanning the river he found himself at.

Leo lounged on a sturdy tree branch, taking a slow sip of Chimera’s Tail mead, a potent brew with a rich, intoxicating flavor that burned just right. The night air was crisp as the battlefield behind him was eerily silent, but he was in no rush.

As he relaxed, he pulled out a succulent Orc Roast, its aroma filling the air. Tearing into it with satisfaction, he let the meal replenish his strength while his mana steadily recovered. The warmth of the mead.

The taste of perfectly cooked meat, and the thrill of battle still fresh in his mind, made for the perfect moment of calm before the next storm. ’I wonder how many more devils are down here and where is their realm?’ he mused.
