Chapter 154: Dungeon Summoner

Leo started attacking the Alliance with no mercy as they were trying to kill him. He weaved through the battlefield while killing the enemy soldiers with ease. His magic turned dozens of them into ash.

An hour later, he stood on the Demon Empire’s border and watched as one man out of the thousands that invaded fled into the distance. While this happened, Veladra, Astra, Roxy, and Belle appeared, which surprised him.

’’Hello ladies,’’ he greeted with a charming smile. ’’I left one alive to tell the rulers. I would love to see their faces when finding out their invasion keeps failing.’’

After speaking, the blonde quickly wrapped her arms around him in a hug and replied, ’’That’s great! The reason we’re here is that things were getting annoying in the domain, so Astra kindly offered to show us around.’’

Leo nodded in understanding as the group returned to the capital in a carriage that the guards brought along. When the five stepped inside, he slumped down and started resting while they traveled along the wall.

He looked out the window only to notice the demon army in the distance causing him to speak. ’’The forces are ready to invade?’’

The Demon Queen nodded, flashing a wide smile. ’’Yes, the nobles finally got their act together and raised an army of one million soldiers. They’ll be constructing a massive fortress at the border, just as you instructed.’’

Following that, the journey back to the palace was peaceful as Leo started eating and drinking thanks to his never-ending appetite. While sitting there, he sensed mana in the air that caught his interest.

’A dungeon?’ he thought with glowing blue eyes.

’’Stop the carriage,’’ Leo said before stepping out.

This confused the women, but he quickly explained. ’’I’m going to capture more monsters from a dungeon. I’ll meet you back at the palace.’’

They reluctantly agreed, prompting him to take off and soar toward the source of the mana. Ten minutes later, he reached the entrance of a cave and began making his way through it, effortlessly slaying every monster he encountered.

’All too weak—barely worth the effort,’ he thought, scanning the bosses’ chamber with a critical eye.

As Leo entered the arena, the ground trembled beneath him. With a deafening roar, a colossal, gorilla-like beast descended from above, its massive fists pounding the earth as it charged toward him, sending shockwaves through the air.

His grin only grew wider, his excitement palpable as the creature barreled toward him. In a flash, he shot forward. With a thunderous crash, he unleashed his Supernova Punch. The impact sent a shockwave that shattered the beast in a single, devastating blow.

The arena fell silent for a heartbeat, save for Leo’s labored breaths, the echoes of his power still rippling through the air. ’’At least the boss is dead now,’’ he mused while clenching his fists. ’’But I can still feel something?’’

He glanced around, only to spot a basketball-sized orb floating there. While staring at it, a young man’s voice sounded in his mind. ’Are you the Demon King?’

’’Yes, I assume you’re the dungeon core?’’ he responded.

When the orb heard his words, it shook before floating toward him while speaking. ’Place your hand on me and I will give you a skill.’

Following that, he did what the core said and placed his hand there, only to feel a shock run through his body just as a notification popped up.

[Dungeon Summoner Skill granted to the Demon King]

When Leo saw this, his eyes widened in shock, but the voice continued. ’To gain more monsters, you need to conquer more dungeons than place your hand on their cores.’

’’Good, I don’t destroy them, do? I wouldn’t want to lose out on farming experience from them?’’ he questioned.

’No. We will remain here, allied with you,’ the core answered.

With a final few words, Leo watched as his new friend slowly faded away. Once it was gone, he turned on his heel and strode out of the dungeon, his thirst for battle far from quenched.

Taking to the skies, the wind rushed past as he tracked dozens of mana trails stretching across the land. His eyes scanned the horizon, searching for his next challenge. ’I need a high-ranked dungeon,’ he mused.

Hours later, Leo was hovering over a Rank S dungeon, which got his blood boiling. He descended to the ground only to shock the demon standing guard, but when they saw his armor, they instantly knew who he was.

Just as he was about to step into the dungeon, a massive explosion rocked the earth, sending tremors through the ground. Gasps and startled cries filled the air as everyone instinctively turned toward the source of the blast.

His eyes narrowed, his body tensing. Without hesitation, he launched into the sky, wings of energy propelling him forward at breakneck speed. Ten minutes later, he neared the capital, his gaze locking onto thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky.

The city was in utter chaos, screams echoing through the streets as massive creatures circled above. Leo’s eyes widened as he realized they weren’t just monsters. They were dragons.

’Did the Alliance send them?’ he thought as his blue eyes glowed with excitement.

His heart pounded with anticipation as he surged forward, pushing his speed to the limit. Flames and smoke filled the sky, but he paid them no mind. With a fierce grin, he clenched his fist, energy crackling around it.

’’California Smash!’’ he roared, driving his punch into the nearest dragon with earth-shattering force.

The impact sent a deafening shockwave through the air as the punch launched the beast backward, its massive form crashing into the city below. When the dragons noticed one of their own killed instantly, their heads snapped towards him.

Leo hovered in the sky, arms crossed and a proud smirk plastered across his face. ’’Weak,’’ he scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. ’’Dragons are pathetic creatures with no actual power and can only fight races weaker than them.’’

The moment those words left his lips, the air grew thick with fury. The dragons let out enraged roars, their eyes burning with wrath as they abandoned the city and turned their full attention to him.

Dozens of them rushed toward him, wings beating furiously as they soared like a storm of destruction. But Leo only laughed, a wild, fearless sound that echoed through the sky. ’’Come, then! Let me show you the power of the Demon King!’’

Without hesitation, he raised his hands and unleashed Thunderbolt, again and again. Bolts of pure energy tore through the sky, each strike a blinding lance of destruction. The searing projectiles rained down mercilessly.

His spells pierced through dragon scales as if they were nothing, their agonized roars drowned out by the crackling power of his magic. Leo continued attacking the monsters by throwing them away from the city.

Loud booms rang out when the dragons smashed into the ground, dazed. Leo continued his brutal attacks, causing the monsters to become scared, but he wouldn’t let them escape by chasing after each one.

His fists broke scales, tore off wings, and spun them around like roundabouts before they were begging him to stop. Leo was now hovering over two dozen beaten dragons. ’’Now who is the boss?’’ he asked the small horde.

The previous leader crawled forward while avoiding eye contact with him. This made him laugh. ’’What the fuck are you doing? Are you a worm now?’’ he asked with a raised eyebrow.

’’We will serve you, master!’’ the creature quickly replied with a voice full of fear.

Leo sighed before sending the dragons to the domain after telling them to build up their army so he could use them in the war. When the monsters saw the primal land. They would call home, they got excited.

While looking around, he warned in a menacing voice. ’’Betray me and I’ll rip off each scale one at a time as I let my other monsters eat you alive.’’

Following that, Leo left the place and started searching for more Alliance soldiers, only to come across the Duskwood Dragon Keepers. His smile widened at their shocked expressions.

With the battle over and the sky cleared of threats, he wasted no time and soared over the capital, summoning gusts of wind and torrents of water to extinguish the raging fires below while burning through mana.

Meanwhile, the demon soldiers on the ground worked tirelessly, securing the city and tending to the wounded. Leo returned to the palace where the four women were waiting for him.

As Leo touched down in the garden, he barely had a moment to steady himself before Roxy and Belle sprinted toward him, their faces lighting up with joy. With excited smiles, they threw their arms around him.

He let out a deep chuckle at their enthusiasm, wrapping his arms around them in return. Their warmth was a welcome contrast to the chaos he had just left behind.
