No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 87 Spreading Rumors
Hannah’s face fell immediately, and she stared icily at the guy, "What did you just say?"
The guy was frightened by Hannah’s gaze, showing some guilt, "I...I said what’s up with you ugly girl?"
Hannah frowned, anger already brewing in her eyes.
Being called ugly was what she hated the most.
She was truly furious and was about to say something.
Then a bunch of girls walked over from another direction.
Now all the people in the class have gathered.
Even students from other departments came to watch the show.
What had happened on the forum was already well-known.
They were all waiting to see Hannah’s embarrassment.
Jenny King, bearing grudges from the previous incidents in the dormitory orchestrated by Hannah, had nothing good to say, "Hannah Winter, everyone knows about your affairs. As your roommate, I must speak up for justice."
She glanced over everyone, then stated each word seriously, "The things on the forum, are all true."
"Everyone in our dormitory knows that Hannah Winter often stays out late. This time she was even photographed bar-hopping with other men. Only you got a head start by signing with the company early. There’s something fishy about this, and you know it yourself."
Her tone was aggressive and certainly determined to make Hannah’s scandal known—of her mingling with men and having a sugar daddy.
As soon as she finished speaking, a round of applause followed.
Everyone turned to see Hannah, who had retracted her hand and stepped forward to Jenny, smiling, "It’s hard to imagine how many stories you could weave from a single picture with no clear face. My—good roommate."
Bending slightly, using the advantage of her height, she garnered a significant upper hand over Jenny.
Hannah moved her head to Jenny’s ear and whispered softly.
After she finished speaking, she straightened up. Her shining smile, as brilliant as a blooming flower in April, dazzled anyone under the sun and stirred unease.
No one knew what Hannah had said to Jenny.
But Jenny, who just a while ago was dead set on condemning Hannah, now looked as though she had seen a ghost, staring at the smiling face before her.
Ethan Evans, on one side, finally overwhelmed by anger, glared fiercely at Hannah’s back; he advanced a few steps ready to confront her physically. But before he could touch her, his head was knocked out by several falling books.
"Which asshole..."
Before his sentence could be completed, a sharp voice interrupted him. Jack Stewart pushed his way through the crowd, picked up his books fallen on the floor, "Well, who let their rooster out? Apart from leering lasciviously, it keeps clucking loudly, annoying everyone!"
Jack rested his hands on his hips, looking down at the man squatting on the ground.
Ethan raised his head, seeing Jack’s face only fueled his anger. Pointing his finger at Jack, he stuttered, "You...you..."
"If you can’t talk straight, don’t pick fights. Shame on you, bullying our Hannah. Look at yourself, other than your morsel of muscle, where else do you resemble a man? If you can’t win over our Hannah, you try to tarnish her reputation. Where’s your dignity? A toad lusting after a swan’s flesh, pah!"
Jack guarded Hannah like a mother defending a cub, holding her hand and keeping others away, "And all of you, isn’t spreading rumors illegal? You guys are just lapping up rumors, as if a bit of grapevine news represents the whole story!"
Jack was furious, particularly knowing who was pulling strings behind this incident, he could hardly contain himself.
Spreading rumors was easy as it only takes some empty talk without bearing any responsibility afterwards.
