Chapter 1848: Chapter 1848: Hayes Edwards Extras (5)

In the evening, when Mother Winter came to pick up her daughter, Grace Winter was happily eating a large strawberry, while Hayes Edwards sat beside her drawing, upright and quiet like a little prince.

It wasn’t that he wanted to sit next to Grace Winter; it was that Grace Winter insisted on sitting next to him.

Upon seeing Mother Winter, Hayes Edwards naturally greeted her.

Mother Winter smiled and said, "Hayes, you’re such a good boy. Grace, say goodbye to Hayes, your big brother."

Grace Winter sat on the carpet, looked at her mom, and said, "Mom, can I stay and play with Hayes Edwards today?"

Hayes Edwards: "..." Make her leave! Hurry and make her leave!

Mother Winter squatted down, "No, darling, Hayes needs to rest too, and you can’t keep disturbing him."

Hayes Edwards felt that Mother Winter truly understood his feelings.

Then Mother Edwards, busy in the kitchen, came out and said, "It’s okay to let the kids play for a while longer. Hayes’ room is big, and when they get tired, they can rest together."

Grace Winter’s eyes lit up.

Hayes Edwards’ face turned sour.

Of course, in the end, Grace was taken away by her own mother.

Hayes Edwards breathed a sigh of relief.

Father Edwards had just returned home and saw his son drawing, walked over to take a look, "Hayes, what are you drawing?"

Hayes quickly blocked it and mumbled awkwardly, "Nothing."

"This kid," Father Edwards chuckled, "keeping secrets from me now, huh?"

Father Edwards didn’t press the matter and went to help Mother Edwards in the kitchen.

Hayes Edwards breathed a sigh of relief, then moved his hand away from the drawing.

Actually, he hadn’t drawn anything special, just a very ugly drawing of Grace Winter with the words "little follower" written on it.

When would he finally shake off this little follower?

This was Hayes Edwards’ biggest worry at the age of five.

But such worries never went away because soon the entire Rainbow Candy Kindergarten knew that Hayes, the campus prince and tyrant, had a very clingy and annoying little sister.

Some people would even come running to tell him that his sister got into an argument.

What did conflicts have to do with him!

Hayes Edwards was really annoyed, but he still went to the entrance of the Strawberry Class.

Strawberry Class was the name of the younger children’s class, mostly around three years old; they were still very young and some of them weren’t very articulate.

Actually, calling it an argument was not accurate either.

Arguing requires back-and-forth; what was happening with Grace Winter was purely bullying.

"Little dummy, little dummy, you’re such a dummy. If you’re not, why do you always carry that doll around?"

"Yeah, you’re already three and still carrying a doll every day, how shameful!"

"Hand over the doll, or we won’t be friends with you anymore!"

Grace Winter didn’t cry, instead, she looked a bit bewildered at the other kids and asked, "Do you guys want some candy?"

She was holding a few rainbow candies in her hand.

Everyone laughed at her silly expression.

Hayes Edwards was furious; he’d never seen someone so silly, not even knowing how to fight back when bullied.

He was about to step forward but then hesitated.

Didn’t he always claim to hate this little follower the most? Why was he going to help her, shouldn’t he be happy to see her being bullied?

Yeah! He was happy!

Happy—my ass!

The classroom door was pushed open forcefully from the outside, and blinding sunlight flooded in, causing the children who were surrounding and bullying Grace Winter to instinctively close their eyes.

When they opened their eyes again, someone was already standing in front of them.
