Chapter 1847: Chapter 1847: Hayes Edwards Extra (4)

Stained in the white, tender palm of the little girl.

Hayes Edwards looked at it with disdain, "You eat it yourself, I don’t like it."

After saying that, he jumped down and ran off.

Grace Winter sat alone on the beam, looking down at the rainbow candy in her hand.

It was almost melting.

"It’s really tasty, why won’t you eat it?" She couldn’t bear to eat it and had saved it for Hayes Edwards.

Since he wouldn’t eat it... then she would eat it herself.

The sweet taste of the rainbow candy melted in her mouth, and a happy smile immediately appeared on the little girl’s face.

The classroom for the older kids wasn’t on the same floor as the younger kids, and sometimes even their break times didn’t perfectly align. But whenever the bell rang, Hayes Edwards would always see Grace Winter peeking in at him from outside the window.

When she saw him look over, she’d wave happily.

Even the teacher knew that he had a little sister in the younger class named Grace Winter.

"Hayes, your sister’s here to see you again."

The whole class turned to look over.

Hayes Edwards packed his backpack with an annoyed look and walked out the door, "Can you stop waiting for me here from now on!"

"Why not?" Grace Winter, holding a doll, looked innocent and adorably clueless.

But seeing her looking so slow-witted annoyed Hayes Edwards, "No reason, I dislike you, I don’t like you, okay!"

He shouted so loudly that Grace Winter was startled.

Fortunately, there weren’t many people nearby, and the teacher was still tending to other kids.

Actually, after Hayes Edwards shouted, he regretted it—not out of guilt, but worried that if he made his annoying little tag-along cry, his mom would spank him.

The two mothers were great friends, so they always hoped their kids would get along too.

A boy and a girl, growing up as childhood friends, how wonderful.

But Hayes Edwards didn’t think it was wonderful at all.

Grace Winter was really too clingy, too annoying.

A startled Grace Winter widened her eyes, then blinked and laughed again, "Hayes Edwards, let’s hurry home, Aunt Edwards said she prepared cakes for us today."

Mother Edwards was skilled and made the best treats.

She laughed with such innocence, as if not realizing at all that anyone disliked her, just like when others called her a little fool, she’d just chuckle, thinking they were trying to be friends.

Really too foolish.

So foolish that Hayes Edwards felt his earlier tantrum was like a punch into cotton, it didn’t scare anyone, only made himself even angrier.

Really very angry!

Hayes Edwards was so mad he wanted to throw his backpack on the ground, but Grace Winter had already grabbed his hand first, "Hayes Edwards, let’s go."

Hand in hand, they walked out of the kindergarten.

With their similarly cute and pretty looks, they really drew people’s attention.

Even parents at the school gate were commenting, "Are both of these your kids?"

It was Mother Edwards who came to pick up the kids today.

She smiled and said, "The son is mine, the daughter belongs to my best friend; our families are neighbors."

Another parent said, "Kids have the best kind of friendships."

Mother Edwards agreed and then waved at the two children.

Hayes Edwards pouted, thinking, what’s so great, that little tag-along is so annoying.

The problem is, his mother especially adored her.

"Grace, I made you a little cake today."

"Thank you, Auntie, your cakes are the best I’ve ever had, even better than those outside."

Mother Edwards laughed heartily, looking at the soft little girl, her heart full of affection.

Hayes Edwards pouted on the side, saying, "Brown-noser!"
