No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1834: Golden Lotus Extra (11)
"You have to know, just a few years ago, this place was just a mountain nook. Who would want to come here?"
It’s surrounded by mountains, getting in and out could only be done via mountain paths. Before the roads were opened those years, going out for a bit required half a month’s preparation, along with dry food and shoes. If it rained, the mountain roads became even harder to walk.
The mountain paths were initially made by people walking them out. It was impossible for cars to come here, and even the bridge at the foot of the mountain for crossing the river was just made of a few wooden planks.
But things have changed over the past few years. Roads have been built in the mountainous area, making it much more convenient to get in and out.
Camilla knows a bit about this, "My son studies outside, and he’s always saying city people love to travel to places like ours, talking about returning to nature. I don’t really get it, but he said he’ll come back after graduation to do something related to tourism."
"That sounds great," Aunt Bloomy said, "Just like Granny Li who opened some kind of inn, I heard it’s quite profitable."
Camilla smiled, "Kids have their own ideas when they grow up. I’m too lazy to interfere, I’ll just let him be."
As they were chatting, little Tiger, lying on the small wooden bed, suddenly sat up and pointed in a direction, trying hard to form words, "Wo...wo...wo..."
It was then that Aunt Bloomy noticed Hannah standing at the doorway, some twenty or thirty meters away, holding a small black dog in her arms, with a black and white dog sitting in front of her.
Just one glance, and Aunt Bloomy couldn’t find too many adjectives to describe her, only feeling that Camilla was right; she did look like a fairy descending to the mortal world.
"Is that the new arrival?"
Camilla squinted her eyes, threw the vegetable in her hand, "Isn’t it her." She waved, "Hey girl, hey girl!"
Hannah heard the voice, turned her head, and saw three women smiling at her.
Realizing she was being called, she walked over, "Hello, is there something you need?"
Camilla, being naturally outgoing and sociable, said, "You’re staying in Granny Li’s room, right?"
Hannah nodded, "Yes, we just moved in yesterday."
The girl smiled sweetly, making people instinctively like her, and the little black dog in her arms also looked incredibly cute.
"Woof, woof." Little Tiger gazed at Golden Lotus, grinning, drool trickling down.
Golden Lotus: "..."
Camilla introduced herself to Hannah, "I live next door to you, so if you need help with anything, don’t hesitate to come to me."
As soon as she finished, Guinevere spoke up too, "I live at the village entrance, just a few steps away from here. That big yellow dog running around in the village is mine."
Big Yellow is also a friend to Big Circle now.
But Golden Lotus doesn’t like Big Yellow much, because it thinks Big Yellow is as silly as Big Circle, the kind that would follow whoever gives it a bone.
Not at all like himself, smart, adorable, and obedient...
After the round of introductions, Hannah casually chatted a bit before bidding them farewell and leaving.
Watching the girl leave, Aunt Bloomy sighed, "Girls these days are getting more and more beautiful, reminding me a bit of myself when I was young."
Camilla threw a piece of vegetable leaf at her, "Bloomy, stop spouting nonsense. I hadn’t even seen you when you were young. Climbing trees for fruits, diving in the river for shrimps, tanned deep brown."
Guinevere clapped her hands in agreement.
