Chapter 1833: Chapter 1833: Golden Lotus Extra (10)

After failing countless times, Arnold Simmons thought maybe there was something wrong with the firewood.

Camilla thought for a moment and earnestly added, "Maybe there’s something wrong with the leaves too."

Big Round pawed and smashed a box of matches, "Woof!" This has a problem too.

Hannah couldn’t help but laugh.

Three pairs of eyes looked over at her.

Camilla reacted first, pattering over to Hannah’s side, circling her legs, "Hannah, you must know how to start a fire, don’t you?"

In its mind, Hannah was omnipotent.

Hannah walked over, "Let me do it, you wait over there."

Arnold Simmons got up to make room for her, then sat on a small stool in the corner, "Be careful, if it doesn’t work, we can eat outside."

There are quite a few places selling food in the small town.

"Okay."

Arnold Simmons watched her intently.

Hannah reached for the firewood, grabbed some leaves, and took the newspaper tossed aside too.

Matches lit the newspaper, newspaper lit the leaves, leaves then lit the firewood.

Before long, Hannah skillfully started the fire.

Camilla cheered on the side, and Big Round jumped along.

"I knew Hannah was the best!"

Arnold Simmons looked at the firewood on the ground with great frustration.

Hannah squatted down in front of him, rubbing her stomach, "Arnold Simmons, I’m hungry."

He looked up, his gaze instantly softened, "I’ll cook, you wait outside."

"Okay." Hannah nodded, hugged Camilla as she followed him, "Call me when you’re done."

After saying that, she ran outside.

Big Round followed behind her, hopping, wanting to reach Camilla in Hannah’s arms, Camilla stuck out her tongue at it.

Buli is a place of simple folk customs, every household cooks and chats with the door open, like now just after morning when the kids have gone to school, the men have gone to the fields, leaving only elderly and women, along with toddlers who just learned to walk.

Aunt Bloomy, Camilla, and Guinevere were sitting at the doorstep sorting vegetables, while a drooling little boy who crawled everywhere was on a small wooden bed nearby.

The little boy was Aunt Bloomy’s grandson, just teething, scarcely speaking, and only called out "ayi-yaya" when he saw people.

Aunt Bloomy glanced at her grandson, smiled until her eyes squinted, then thought of something, "Camilla, I heard a young couple moved next door to you, have you seen them?"

Camilla threw the sorted vegetable leaves into a basket beside her, "I’ve seen them once, seems like they were guests of Granny Li, from the city, the girl is remarkably pretty, especially the young lady, she looks about my son’s age, as though a fairy descended from heaven."

Saying this, she laughed.

Guinevere added, "When they moved in, my kid also went to have a look, said they brought two dogs, seemed like they came here before, my Big Yellow recognizes them."

Buli’s permanent population is not large, much like a village, Big Yellow often runs from one end to the other, knowing everyone.

Camilla laughed, "Seen tourists coming here, but bringing dogs along is really rare."

"What’s so strange about that." Aunt Bloomy tossed the bean sprouts in her hand and grabbed a towel to wipe her grandson’s drool, "They’re planning to stay for a long time, or Granny Li wouldn’t have cleaned up her yard for them to live in."

Guinevere wondered, "Why are so many city people coming here lately?"
