Chapter 1760: Chapter 1760: Arnold Simmons Extra (126)

By noon, Amy had already pulled Hannah to the big tree in the back to take a break.

With nothing to do, Amy decided to play video games with Hannah.

Hannah’s gaming skills were not great—in fact, almost nonexistent. When she first started playing, even turning directions felt clumsy, her expertise limited to simple web-based mini-games.

But Amy was very skilled. As the game began, she instructed Hannah to simply follow her lead, do nothing, and only strike the final blow at the right moment.

The two worked seamlessly together, with Hannah comfortably winning under Amy’s guidance.

The afternoon wasn’t particularly busy, and by the time everything was sorted out, the student council president suggested treating everyone to a meal. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Hannah had already spotted Arnold Simmons standing under a nearby tree waiting for her, so she didn’t join the others.

Laughing, Amy teased her, "Go, go! If you don’t come back tonight, don’t worry—I’ll cover for you, no problem at all."

Hannah waved her hand, bade the group farewell with a smile, and ran towards Arnold Simmons.

September weather brought sweltering heat during the day, while the evening cooled off slightly once the sun set.

Arnold had been very busy lately, but making time to pick up Hannah for dinner every evening had become non-negotiable for him.

"I could manage on my own, really." Hannah reached out to touch the dark circles under his eyes, feeling a twinge of heartache. "I can eat with Amy and the others."

Arnold chuckled softly, wrapping his arms around her and resting his head on her shoulder. "But I want to be with you."

His voice was low and laced with exhaustion, warm breaths brushing against her neck as he spoke.

It tickled.

Hannah wanted to move away, but seeing his weary expression, she couldn’t bring herself to.

She reached out and gently patted the back of his head, soothing him like stroking fur. "Then let me come to you. If you’re short on time, I can bring you meals."

Arnold shook his head, capturing her soft hand and holding it tightly in his palm, his voice slightly muffled. "If you bring me food, others will be around."

"Hm?"

Hannah blinked, confused.

Arnold chuckled deeply, his eyes brimming with tenderness. He pinched her cheek gently and said in a warm tone, "I want it to be just us two."

The implication was clear—no one else, only their private time together.

Hannah thought Arnold seemed just a bit childish and clingy.

Like a large, fluffy dog leaning in for affection—majestic to outsiders but wagging his tail and twitching his ears in front of her.

That was exactly him now.

Hannah stood on her tiptoes and kissed his left cheek, her eyes sparkling with a smile. "Alright, just the two of us then."

Arnold’s lips curled into a grin as he tilted his head and offered his right cheek. "And this side too."

Luckily, there weren’t many people around at this hour.

Hannah stood on her tiptoes again and dutifully kissed him there as well.

This time, before she could pull away, his arm tightened around her waist.

A light kiss followed—fleeting, yet lingering.

A warm smile spread across Arnold’s face, his joy reflected in his eyes as he gazed at the blushing young woman. He ruffled her hair affectionately. "Let’s go. I’ll take you to dinner."

After dinner, Arnold took Hannah to a nearby cinema.

During a previous conversation, Hannah had casually mentioned a newly released movie, and Arnold remembered it ever since.

Because he liked her so much and cared deeply, he paid attention to every little thing she mentioned, even unintentionally.

The film was a fairy-tale story, so most of the audience consisted of parents bringing their children to watch.
