No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1759: Arnold Simmons Extra (125)
Appearing clean and soft.
No one knew who first noticed her, but now, all the boys returning from outside and the ones in the dorm were looking at her.
Arnold Simmons had just come back from outside.
He had planned to eat out with a few dormmates, but remembering that Hannah was coming to find him, he declined.
As he left, a few boys were still wailing, "When will I ever get a girlfriend? Even though I’m 1.8 meters tall, I’m just a kid who wants a girlfriend to bring me delicious food!"
Benny Cooper, on the other hand, was reading a book while grilling meat, and didn’t join their conversation.
His heart was solely focused on studying.
By the time Arnold Simmons reached the building downstairs, someone had already started chatting up Hannah.
Back when Hannah got into a relationship, having a boyfriend broke quite a few hearts on campus.
But time flies, and a year has passed. A University has welcomed a new batch of students, and the younger male students who didn’t know were still abundant.
At least for now, to them, Hannah was just a very pretty upperclassman or peer. Approaching her might give them a chance.
The freshman boy was still doing his best to show off his charm.
From their line of sight, they watched as Hannah, who had looked calm moments ago, suddenly blossomed into a radiant smile. The boy hadn’t even had time to feel happy before Hannah ran straight past the crowd towards another boy.
Before Arnold Simmons could even react, the young lady had already thrown herself into his arms, her head lightly nuzzling his chest, like she was playfully coquettish.
"Arnold Simmons, I brought you some food."
The look in Arnold Simmons’ eyes softened instantly, turning warm. "Why did you come all the way over by yourself?"
"I just wanted to see you quickly," she said with a crescent-eyed smile.
The moon and stars absent from the night sky were all shining in her eyes.
People nearby were watching, but Arnold Simmons didn’t care at all.
He saw the earlier scene.
He felt a little jealous.
Maybe more than a little.
He lowered his head and kissed her forehead. "Did you have fun today?"
"I did." Hannah shook the bag in her hand. "I even brought you food I grilled myself today."
The crowd around them, their curiosity satisfied, dispersed quickly.
Except for the freshman boy, left hurt and lonely.
He had just tasted the possibility of romance, only to experience heartbreak immediately after.
The campus was quiet on weekends, and once they left the dormitory area, it became entirely still.
You could hear the sound of the night wind rustling through the leaves.
Hannah had checked the weather forecast and said that it might rain heavily tomorrow, making outdoor activities unideal. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
The next day, as expected, heavy rain poured down.
After days of rain, the weather finally cleared up, but following closely was the unbearable summer heat.
The glaring sunlight seemed intent on evaporating every drop of water in the air, while the ear-piercing chirps of insects echoed relentlessly through the summer.
Summer passed, and soon a new semester arrived.
Amy Taylor pulled Hannah along to help with welcoming new students.
The school gates were crowded, filled with parents and students alike, towing large bags and suitcases. It wasn’t surprising that their hurried journey left them somewhat weather-beaten.
Amy Taylor sighed, lamenting how three years had gone by in the blink of an eye.
She reminisced, "Back when I started college, I was still just a fresh eighteen-year-old flower."
Hannah said with a smile, "You’re still a flower now."
"It’s different now," Amy Taylor said, hugging Hannah’s arm and feigning a melancholic look. "Life has seen so much, all of its wear and tear buried in my heart."
Hannah couldn’t help but laugh at her exaggerated expression.
Lowering her head, her crescent-eyed smile under the sunlight was especially captivating.
Soon enough, more boys started approaching to ask for directions.
