Chapter 1734: Chapter 1734: Arnold Simmons Side Story (100)

Arnold Simmons followed Hannah’s gaze, "Want to eat?"

Hannah shook her head and patted her bulging backpack, "No, I brought a lot of snacks myself."

The day before the outing began, she and Tessa Thompson went to the supermarket, just like a primary school spring outing, and bought a lot of snacks like chips and jelly.

Hannah arranged all the snacks out like setting up a small snack shop.

Of course, her favorite fruit candies were among them.

"Go ahead and eat." She opened the jar of fruit candies, took out two pieces, one for herself and handed the other to him.

Arnold Simmons looked down and smiled, "Orange flavor again?"

Hannah shook her head, chewing the candy with a slightly muffled voice, "I finished the orange ones, the rest... I don’t know what flavor they are."

Her eyes brimmed with smiles, like the colorful transparent candy wrappers under the light, wrapped around sweetness, bright and brilliant.

Arnold Simmons reached out and took the candy from her palm.

The candy seemed to have melted a bit from the warmth of her palm, even the air was tinged with that sweet, rich fragrance.

He tasted it.

What a coincidence, it was orange-flavored.

"Orange flavor, huh?" Hannah took the jar of fruit candies, looked through it against the sunlight for a while, "I clearly took them all out, why is there still one."

She muttered softly, then reached into the jar to search again.

Arnold Simmons watched her serious expression and couldn’t help but laugh.

In the distance, some students from class two were queuing up to buy grilled sausages.

Joe Taylor was a social butterfly, able to strike up a conversation with anyone, just like now, chatting with the sausage vendor who ended up giving a buy-two-get-one-free deal.

"Hey, isn’t that our classmate Hannah over there? Who’s that opposite her, not in uniform?"

Without even looking, Joe said, "What Hannah, all our classmates are over by the grass, you must have seen wrongly."

"No, it really seems to be her!" The boy was a bit nearsighted and it was difficult to see clearly with so many people moving around in the amusement park.

But he was sure that the person was wearing their grade uniform.

"Class leader, help us check if it’s someone from our class."

The class leader had come with them, and had a good relationship with Hannah, often interacting about academic matters. He wore glasses which made things clearer for him.

"It seems..." He paused for a while then withdrew his gaze, "No, it’s not."

The boy continued muttering, "Did I see it wrong?"

After chatting with the vendor, Joe went to buy some milk teas and headed back, "Come on, let’s go back, or the teacher will complain again."

The group left.

At three-thirty in the afternoon, the teachers blew the whistle for assembly.

Their grade, totaling seven hundred and fifty-eight students, began roll call by class to ensure everyone was present.

Hannah returned after seeing the message in the class group chat.

She came back a bit late, after the roll call had been made twice already.

Oscar Evans didn’t say much, just let her join the group, but the boys who arrived just on time weren’t so lucky.

Each was still holding unfinished barbecues, and their drinks were still cold, clearly having lost track of time due to their fun.

Oscar Evans lectured them thoroughly.

In the line, Tessa Thompson quietly asked Hannah, "Hannah, where did you go? I didn’t see you at all."

"I have a friend who was also here." Hannah explained.
