No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1666 Arnold Simmons Extra (32)
Hannah was almost a head shorter than Arnold Simmons, dressed neatly in her school uniform, with a clean plain face and a ponytail, which made her look like an elementary school student next to Arnold’s careless and languid demeanor.
"How old are you this year?" Arnold suddenly asked.
Hannah looked at him, locking eyes with his dark pupils, "What do you ask that for?"
Arnold looked down, and after a moment of silence, he laughed, "Just curious, you look underage."
After saying that, he continued walking forward without returning the backpack to Hannah.
Hannah had no choice but to catch up with his pace, stepping on his shadow from behind, "Is it strange to be underage? Not every high school senior is of age, are you?"
The timing of starting school is always different.
So you really can’t tell age just by grade.
The sun was glaring, but Arnold’s height blocked most of it. Noticing the little girl using him to dodge the sun, he did not point it out but simply replied, "Whether of age or not, I should be a bit older than you."
"Only a bit older?" Hannah said, "Shouldn’t it be much older?"
Arnold stopped walking.
Hannah didn’t notice and bumped into him, nearly falling backward, but her collar tightened.
Arnold simply picked her up next to him, just like picking up a backpack.
"Much older? New classmate, are you despising me?"
At this close distance, Hannah looked up, her gaze passing over the youth’s chin, thin lips, and then those eyes, like a night sky without stars, dark and seemingly bottomless, yet very beautiful.
She didn’t speak, just fixed her gaze.
A moment later, she said, "No, not despising, just stating a fact."
The two left the school gates together, tacitly not mentioning going to the school cafeteria.
This time Arnold walked behind Hannah, keeping half a body distance, "What do you want to eat, the beef noodles from last time or something else?"
Although he was treating, Arnold didn’t know Hannah’s tastes, so he let her decide.
"I don’t feel like eating noodles today." Hannah stood at the crossroad, thought for a moment, and then her eyes landed on the ice cream shop on the left-hand side.
Located in the city center, opposite an elementary school, to the left is a street of noodle shops along with the city center square and to the right is the food city and pedestrian street, busy enough and bustling. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
It can be said that on weekdays, the students from several schools are the main customers of these small shops.
Because it was not yet time for school to let out, there weren’t many pedestrians on the road.
Arnold followed Hannah’s gaze, "Ice cream won’t fill you up."
"It can be a dessert after a meal." Hannah looked up at him.
"Alright, dessert after the meal." Arnold smiled lightly, lightheartedly saying, "Then what about the main meal?"
Hannah struggled to choose, Arnold didn’t rush her, patiently waiting.
She looked at a nearby restaurant that seemed expensive just from the decor, then glanced at Arnold standing beside her.
Leaning against the school’s outer wall, the young man wore a white T-shirt and a dark jacket, dressed simply, looking casual and scattered, with a faint smile between his brows that didn’t seem very friendly, instead somewhat offbeat and scrappy.
Hannah withdrew her gaze, thinking that Arnold wasn’t very rich at the moment, so she casually pointed to a shop on the right, "Let’s go there."
Arnold looked over, raised an eyebrow and said, "Didn’t you say you didn’t feel like eating noodles today?"
Hannah was startled.
The shop she had casually pointed to was exactly a noodle restaurant that had just opened.
