No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1659 Arnold Simmons Extra (25)
Hannah thought of Jimmy Simmons’ appearance outside the school gate today, frowned slightly, shook her head, "No way."
She isn’t familiar with Jimmy Simmons now, and as far as she can recall, she hasn’t even met him since transferring to this school... so liking him seems unlikely.
Tessa Thompson bit her straw and thought for a moment, then turned her head to look at Hannah.
They were sitting by the window, with Hannah on the inside; the window was open, sunlight fell on the balcony outside, casting a faint layer just enough to reach the edge of Hannah’s hand.
She sat with her head bowed, her snow-white skin and black hair, her unadorned face youthful and well-behaved, yet her features were bright and vivid, resembling a rosebud about to bloom.
Tessa Thompson, even as a girl, couldn’t help adoring her, "Maybe Jimmy Simmons got interested at first sight."
She murmured.
Hannah didn’t catch that clearly and turned to glance at her, eyes widening slightly, "Huh? What?"
Tessa Thompson quickly snapped back to reality, patted her own face, "Nothing, nothing, I was just curious if you’ve ever dated at your previous school, Hannah?"
Hannah didn’t ponder, shook her head and said, "No, I’ve never been in a relationship."
Tessa Thompson was surprised, "Not even once?"
Although the school strictly forbade early romance, for the restless and rebellious teenagers, "true love" was irresistible when it came.
Such feelings were direct, passionate, and unhidden, as if equipped with a resolve to defy the entire world, the more others tried to stop them, the deeper they would fall.
The uncontrollable acceleration of the heartbeat was like being on the giant pendulum in an amusement park, dangerous yet still addictive.
Hannah flipped through the chemistry paper from last night, thought for a while, yet still said, "Not even once."
By time’s account, indeed there was none now, but in the future...
She bowed her head to the problems, yet her mind felt somewhat empty.
Thinking Hannah was focusing on studying, Tessa Thompson didn’t ask further and hurriedly finished the last bite of her breakfast before starting her homework from last night.
The two had been chatting so earnestly that they were unaware of when someone had taken the seat behind them.
Today is Monday, and Arnold Simmons unusualy didn’t fall asleep as soon as he arrived.
He leaned against the back of the chair, a brand-new math book spread out in front of him, but his gaze fell upon the figure of the young girl in front of him.
She was bowing her head; the collar of the school uniform slightly open, her soft black hair cascading down, landing precisely on that patch of pure white skin, the extreme contrast of black and white made even more striking with the touch of the golden sunlight.
Arnold Simmons’ gaze lingered only for a moment before shifting away.
He looked out at the sunlight, but it wasn’t as dazzling as she was, nor as warm as she was.
The first morning class was chemistry, which had an excellent hypnotic effect.
Halfway through the class, Hannah called Tessa Thompson several times, but she still looked drowsy.
Hannah propped up the book and leaned closer to whisper, "Tessa, did you stay up late again last night?"
Tessa Thompson, supporting her head with one hand and holding a book with the other, watched it tilt and fall against her forehead, she was too sluggish to even react, her voice sleepy, "Didn’t stay up, I just went to bed a bit late... really just a bit..."
Her eyelids drooped down again.
"Stayed up doing homework?" Hannah thought her fun-loving deskmate was still quite diligent.
At the mention of homework, Tessa Thompson’s eyes snapped open, "Of course I did the homework, but you still need your own leisure time." She looked around and stood the fallen book up again.
