Chapter 1569: Chapter 1569: Will It Be Love at First Sight

"Do you two know each other?" The girl looked back and forth between Hannah and Wayne Lane as if deceived, glaring at Hannah with resentment, "If you’re his girlfriend, you should have told me earlier. Are you happy watching me make a fool of myself?"

"No, I..."

Hannah tried to explain, but the girl just walked away.

At the door, she turned her head back and cursed, "Dogs! Using me for your amusement, was that fun for you?"

The girl cursed and left.

Hannah turned to look at Wayne Lane beside her.

Wayne Lane reached out for her backpack, "Still enjoying the show?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"What show?" Hannah followed behind Wayne Lane, "I was trying to play matchmaker."

She didn’t want to spend the entire trip caught in the middle, enduring the girl’s fiery glares passing by her time and again.

The exit was a bit crowded, so Hannah and Wayne Lane had to stand aside and wait.

Just then, the girl was right in their sightline, glaring fiercely at them again.

"Aren’t you happy when girls hit on you?" Hannah leaned on the railing, tilting her head to look at Wayne Lane standing to the side.

He always stood so erect, somewhat like a robot programmed with specific instructions, "Why should I be happy?"

Wayne Lane sounded perplexed.

"Because someone likes you," Hannah explained in a different way.

Wayne Lane furrowed his brow, and after a moment, said, "Nobody falls in love at first sight."

"Why not?" Hannah asked, "Haven’t you heard of love at first sight?"

Wayne Lane had indeed never heard of the phrase "love at first sight."

His thinking was still that it was impossible to like each other after just one meeting, so he could only answer with "I’ve never heard of it."

Hannah knew there was no reasoning with him.

Wayne Lane was a man whose mind was rigid with rules, essentially a loyal servant brainwashed by the royal family.

The crowd at the exit thinned, leaving only a small group remaining.

Hannah moved her feet.

This time, Wayne Lane was walking behind her.

Moving slowly with the crowd, just as Hannah was about to forget their previous topic, Wayne Lane suddenly spoke up, "Would you fall in love at first sight?"

He was looking down, yet his voice floated above her head.

It was somewhat deep but also sounded like the clear chime of jade stones colliding.

Hannah turned to look at him, meeting his gaze, and in that instant, it was as if something flashed in her mind.

But it was just for a moment.

By the time she tried to recall it, everything had dissipated, leaving only Wayne Lane’s light brown pupils.

"I suppose... maybe," Hannah responded uncertainly.

She had been about to say no, but somehow, when the words reached her lips, they took a detour.

As they approached the starship exit, the crowd became denser, and in the hustle, someone pushed from behind. The person in front lost their balance and staggered towards Hannah.

"Be careful."

Hannah didn’t notice until Wayne Lane, who was behind her, guarded her.

He extended his hand, just in time to come between Hannah and the unsteady man.

The man who was bumped looked unhappy and turned to argue with the person behind him.

Hannah looked at Wayne Lane’s hand extended in front of her and said, "Thank you."

Wayne Lane answered her with a low acknowledgment and withdrew his hand, reminding Hannah, "Watch where you’re going."

Hannah nodded and continued to follow the flow of people moving forward.
