No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 136: Want to Drink Your Tea
He finished speaking, looked up and found the girl opposite him staring. After a second of silence, she broke out with a lively smile, her voice soft yet somewhat prideful, "Pretty, but when looked upon in detail, no one is prettier than me."
Still as spoiled as ever.
Arnold Simmons simply laughed lightly, a deep understanding in his eyes. His smile gradually deepened. He picked up the tea and handed it over to Hannah, "I ordered food, but it’s going to take a little while. Have some tea in the meantime."
Hearing this, Hannah bowed her head to see the somewhat thin tea in her cup. There was still a slight hint of the delicate fragrance of tea.
Hannah did not like tea.
She felt it was just some leaves soaked in water that gave little taste.
She didn’t move, but instead, her gaze was locked onto the tea cup in front of Arnold. Her petite hand, somehow, was already slipping onto the table and towards Arnold’s large palm. Her delicate fingertips gently slid across his palm, teasing him slightly. Her voice was sweet yet seductively deceptive, "Mr. Simmons, I want to drink your tea." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
The girl with her black hair and white skin, clear eyes, subtly upturned at the corners betraying a hint of allure. Her red lips slightly parted revealing a soft, petite voice that could steal away all attention.
The touch within his palm was delicate yet warm, with just a semblance of itch. The sensation spread from his palm, along the skin lines, slowly reaching his heart.
He closed his palm, gripping the soft, boneless hand and played with it gently, his face unfeeling, "Just a few days not seeing her, and my little bird has become wild, hasn’t she?"
His words were calm, but Hannah immediately picked up on the underlying sarcasm and threat within them.
She realized he was upset with her, in response to their disagreement a couple of days back when she neglected to contact him.
She reached out with her other hand to gently shake his, in a somewhat coquettish manner, "No, no. I dare not forget about my dear Lord Sponsor."
The man huffed coldly, his face not at all softened or mollified.
Hannah blinked, her voice soft and pleasing, "Really, I swear, you’re the most handsome man I’ve ever met. You’re wealthy and kind to me. How could I ever forget you?"
She took her hand back while counting on her fingers the merits of Mr. Simmons, her words echoing with flattery.
Arnold Simmons simply focused on his tea, his brows indicating a still existing coldness.
Hannah felt somewhat dejected because her efforts to placate him did not soften his rigid stance. She gave into her frustration, crossed her arms, pouted and sat quietly at one side of the table.
The room was eerily quiet, the tea created a gentle mist in the cup, blurring the man’s somewhat coldly indifferent eyes.
He lifted the tea cup and held it out to Hannah.
Hannah took one look at him, still miffed, but capitulated as she stared into his deep, soulful eyes. She reached out to take the cup, but he moved it away.
Hannah’s eyes widened in disbelief, accusing Arnold of playing games with him, "Mr. Simmons, you’re being unfair."
Her voice was soft, as if she was on the verge of tears.
In his presence, she seemed to cry easily, much like striking his soft spot.
Arnold sighed inwardly, nudging the tea cup in her direction, his voice softening, "Didn’t you say you wanted my tea? Why the change of mind now?"
"Is it really yours?" Hannah turned her head, her eyes slightly red, her tone stubborn but her eyes had betrayed her long back.
Arnold nodded in affirmation.
Satisfied at last, Hannah muttered to herself and began sipping the tea in the cup, leaning on Arnold’s hand.
It was somewhat bitter.
She did not like it much.
She took a small sip and shook her head, indicating she didn’t want anymore.
When she looked up again, her brightly colored red lips were kissed with a layer of water gloss, making her look even more tempting and alluring.
