Chapter 135: Chapter 135: I Miss You So Much

Goldie was both annoyed and cursing under its breath.

After it returns, it would definitely request a change of owner, whining and complaining.

An hour later.

Outside a high-end restaurant in Kyoto City.

Just as Hannah walked in, a waiter with a smile on his face approached her, took a shallow bow and asked, "Miss Hannah Winter, right?"

Hannah nodded, and the waiter then guided her inside.

During the process, he could not help but observe this stunningly beautiful girl.

They had received news that a VIP was coming to their restaurant. Initially, he thought it was just ordinary business negotiation, but now it seemed...

Suppressing his inner urge to gossip and curiosity, the waiter led her to the entrance of a private room, then knocked and announced respectfully, "President Simmons, your guest has arrived."

Though the location of this restaurant is secluded, it has a great reputation in Kyoto City, attracting many wealthy people for business discussions.

Aside from the waiter, Hannah didn’t encounter anyone else along the way. The surroundings were exquisitely decorated, retaining a sense of traditional elegance.

The next moment, the door to the private room was opened from the inside, followed by a deep voice saying, "Come on in."

Hannah was not in a rush to enter. Instead, she leaned forward to peek inside the room curiously.

There was a silk carpet, vermilion hollow-out carved windows. A view of a miniature landscape with water flowing down a hill and towering fig trees outside offered a serene and elegant atmosphere.

Hannah stood at the doorway, facing a folding screen that barely concealed a man’s silhouette. Feeling curious, she softly called out, "Mr. Simmons, is that you?"

She seemed a little wary, but the amusement in her voice indicated that she was merely in the mood for a bit of mischief.

Inside the room, the man holding a teacup countered in an exasperated tone, "Aren’t you coming in?"

About to brew tea, the manager’s head lowered even further. Arnold Simmons glanced at him and ordered, "You may leave."

The manager nodded, gently put down the teapot in his hand, bowed slightly and exited the room.

He bumped into the young lady entering. The corner of his eyes caught her exquisite and charming face. There was a hint of surprise in his eyes, but he didn’t reveal any emotion, and politely stepped aside to make way for her.

The last second the door closed, a teasing voice of the girl could be heard from inside, "Mr. Simmons, I’ve missed you so much."

The manager gasped inside, realizing he had just learned a shocking secret. He had to keep it to himself and reminded the wait staff outside not to gossip.

After all, if any rumor irritated the head of the Simmons family, their century-old restaurant could be out of business in a flash.

That man was stern and ruthless, he wouldn’t give anyone any face.

Inside the room, Hannah slumped into a seat, looking lazily out of place in the elegant surroundings. She seemed slightly disruptive, like a mischievous cat, always up to no good.

She rested her head on her hand, staring intently at the man opposite.

His face was handsome and aristocratic, with delicate, thin eyebrows and deep eyes that showed no emotion. Every movement exuded an innate elegance and indifference. He seemed even more distant and inaccessible when he didn’t smile.

He had taken off his jacket, his white shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His overly fair and slender fingers gently picked up the teapot on the table, looking as perfect as an art piece.

Arnold Simmons seemed to have noticed the girl’s gaze. Without lifting his head, his voice sounded like smooth jade, "Do you find me attractive?"
