"You told me she was going to be fine!! That’s what you said,Naomi. That’s what you said!" Marya shouted, throwing the contents of what was on the table in the sitting room to the floor.
At this point of time, she didn’t know what to do after they all had come back from the hospital, with the news about Narika that she didn’t know if that was something she should be happy about.
She’s pregnant.
Narika, her baby is pregnant and they didn’t need anyone to tell them who it belonged to. Not only was she having a nervous breakdown right now, Naomi doesn’t even have any clue from the witches council if that changes anything pertaining to the prophecy.
Afterall, the prophecy of her having a baby with Adrik was the strong link between the both of them. But her happiness was short lived because she’s pregnant!
"Marya, you need to calm down."Nelson tried calming her down, but that was such a stupid move because this was not something for her to calm down for.
It’s not easy for him too, but then Marya had extremely high expectations about the prophecy changing, and right now their daughter is back where she belongs. It’s really going to be heartbreaking that she watches Narika leave again, all because she’s carrying a baby for a monster.
If anything, if he had the power to look into the future. He would have stopped Naomi from telling her in the first place that Narima was coming back. Like seriously, this is just like taking a candy away from a kid after promising to give him one.
"No, don’t tell me that." Marua snapped at him, throwing the pillow on the cushion at him to which he caught swiftly." She lied to me, she lied to us." She accused Naomi who didn’t know where exactly to start explaining.
She had a disappointed look on her face, and this is not just the beginning of this. Hendrix has left home without a word after she relayed the news to him too. Everyone is now blaming her for what she didn’t see coming, it’s not like she’s a seer or something. She’s just a messenger for the council.
Although, that was something the council should be questioned about, what’s the use of giving these humans false hope, and in the end take it away from them in a blink of an eye?
"Marya, please.You have to listen to me, I didn’t know about any of those. I had nothing to do with this. I’m not a seer like Seline, maybe you should stop blaming me about this, when actually your daughter went ahead to sleep with him after knowing the consequences."
Naomi’s words erupted a pin drop silence in the background, while both Wife and husband looked at her as if she just poured acid on them. Yeah, she actually did that. Her words weren’t in any way comforting in any way.
"Get out." Marya said, softly. Trying to curtail the need to bash her head against the wall to rest her brain back to factory setting, as it seems she’s in need of that.
"Marya, I didn’t mean..." Naomi tried apologizing when she realized what she just did, but Nelson interrupted her words.
"Seriously, Naomi? I guess i got to thank you for what you just did. You have done what you have to do..."
"No, Nelson you don’t understand..." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Well, I do understand everything you did and said. The prophecy didn’t change in the first place, you are working with the council to get my daughter pregnant for that psycho, so you all can fight some stupid war using her child as leverage. I understand clearly, what you mean and if you don’t leave my house this instant, i wouldn’t be held accountable for anything that happens henceforth."
Nelson said through gritted teeth, as Marya sat back down on the cushion, crying her eyes out while trying to think of a solution.
"Fine, I will leave." Naomi said raising her hands up in surrender, she had just overstayed her welcome and she’s relieved that Marya’s sister, Rosa, wasn’t at home right now because she would have pushed her down the stairs by now.
So using this opportunity, she tried to give them helpful advice that she’s sure that they aren’t going to take anyway.
"No, you would leave right now." Nelson changed her words for her.
"I know but before doing that, I have got to warn you all. Since she’s pregnant, they are going to come looking for her, especially Lucifer...."
"The last thing I would do is to allow that pyscho near my daughter. I don’t care in what delight you guys portray him to be, but he’s a dead man if he comes near my child." Nelson threatened, earning a sigh from Naomi.
"You don’t know what you are doing, Nelson. If you need my help, you know where to find me." Namoi said lastly, her last words earning a scoff from him.
She looked one last time at the both of them, " I’m really sorry, Marya." With that being said, she left through the front door leaving both couples to figure out their problem, while she did hers.
"What are we going to do, Nelson? Soon, she’s going to wake up and i didn’t think she’s still going to be amnesic. Her body is going to start showing signs that she’s pregnant and...."
Marya blabbered on, until Nelson grabbed her and called her back to her senses."Marya, stop please." He said, sighing tiredly.
"I just want my child with me, Nelson. Is that hard to ask? I didn’t ask for any of these? Why is all these happening to us?" She cried, before he pulled her to his chest, running his hands through her hair while whispering words of comfort so that she could know that she’s not alone in all these.
As they didn’t see this coming to their doorsteps, they knew that she should be prepared for anything. But one thing is clear, they won’t be giving up Narika nor the child without a fight.
