Chapter 229: The Young Lord

In the cosmic banquet that took place above Earth, besides the figures at the head of the table shrouded in cosmic fog, the rest had all stood up.

Upon voicing his words, Anon stepped into the Cosmic Space with a single step. The otherworldly army sitting on the clouds was unwilling to impede him, nor did they have the authority to do so.

More than that, did they have the power to do so?

"You were able to annihilate that dragon’s true body with a glance, and even sever any hopes of revival by extinguishing his past self," a voice from the cosmic fog reverberated out.

It pierced straight into the mind.

"To have such strength as a newly ascended Otherworldly Knight of our Human Race. As expected of the Young Lord, how admirable," another Overlord praised.

In truth, they were only saying sweet nothings. What he did to the dragon was essentially not worth mentioning.

Anon observed the cosmic fog.

Souls were categorized as mortal souls, unfathomable souls, abstract souls, and paradisical souls.

Though his soul was complex, this fog was the very consciousness of the cosmic space. It was not something that his current self could see through.

Of the Overlords, only his father was not obscured.

Speaking of this father, after Anon’s declaration, his voice resounded in Anon’s mind, beckoning him to present himself in the Cosmic Space.

Soon after, five figures took the lead in greeting the newly ascended young lord of humanity and approached from a great distance away.

These were human generals, or universally, they were labeled Dimension Lords.

When speaking of speed, they quickly touched upon the limits of the Cosmic Space, reaching light speed.

Though there were ways to surpass light speed, there was no need in a moment like this.

A moment after, they materialized before Anon.

Following them, a myriad of human generals made their move.

Anon’s attention honed in on the first five. Amongst them was a familiar figure, and from their appearance, he could somewhat deduce who they were.

"It is my honor to stand before Earth’s five Human Generals. I’ve long heard tales of your heroic deeds," he said, casually thinking up some sweet nothings.

While saying so, he thought inwardly, ’How sly, the human race.’

His gaze landed on his aunt.

Of the figures in this cosmic banquet, besides his father, he was only familiar with her. But she was not shrouded in cosmic fog, nor did she participate in the banquet where the other Overlords did.

An Overlord mingling with Dimension Lords?

’Is this some scheme?’

Schemes, schemes, and more schemes.

Naturally, this wasn’t related to him, but one could only assume.

Did the human race hide more than one Overlord from the other races of the cosmic space behind the disguise of Dimension Lord?

"Haha... I see you have some relation with my little brat," stepping forward first was a dark skinned man who towered over Anon.

In truth, Anon was the only otherworldly creature who appeared to be the same height he was when a mortal.

Naturally, his actual height was immeasurable.

To shrink to as small as a spec of dust, Anon could also grow endlessly tall. But he had not yet brought out his second body to the outer world.

He had yet to acquire the chance to begin investigating his new world.

Anyway, the entity who spoke had a familiar head of dreadlocks.

Anon revealed a pleasant, almost hypnotizing smile. He said, "So it is Jacob’s father, the legendary Thunder Drowning Warlord General."

"It is my honor," he said with a respectful bow.

"Tch, the more of this pretense you show, the more my pores raise. Your persona is just like that bastard back then."

Thunder Drowning Warlord General was a burly man with a chiseled jaw. His eye sockets flickered with golden bolts of lightning, and the aura enveloping him was intense and drowning.

Even when restrained, it formed an inner and outer domain around him, with the inner domain spreading for less than a dozen meters, and an outer domain that spread several miles.

However, there were many natural domains, originating from a multitude of Human Generals, creating a display of intertwining colors and auras that encompassed Anon’s angelic figure.

"Noah, your brazen words continue to reduce our stellar image."

A figure bathed in rays of golden light voiced. Behind his head was a miniature sun, and his eyes were a radiant yellow.

He was slim and adorned in noble robes.

His blonde hair was long, though, not as long as Anon’s hair.

When shifting his gaze away from the Thunder Drowning Warlord General, he stared at the angelic human with some emotion in his eyes.

"It is actually our honor to greet the Young Lord," he performed a refined bow.

Anon cupped his fists and reciprocated, "No, no, the honor’s all mine. For the Sun Holding Sovereign to say such words, it is my, Anon Xerxes’s, greatest pride."

The Sun Holding Sovereign was slightly stunned by such ability with words.

"Haha, what do you have to say now?" Thunder Drowning Warlord General was greatly amused by the Sun Holding Sovereign’s reaction.

The latter clicked his tongue with annoyance.

A figure with chaotic red hair stepped forward...

Though this was an empty void that made it improbable to actually ’step’ on, these were otherworldly creatures.

Mortal logic did not apply.

This figure’s skin was tanned, and his frame was muscular and toned. His voice was deeper than an ocean, and his words were concise: "Congratulations, Young Lord."

"Thank you, Lord of Shattering." Anon respectfully replied.

Besides his aunt, there was only one other General yet to greet him. This was a figure with an androgynous appearance.

They had flowing blue hair and watery eyes.

’Monarch of Blue,’ Anon inwardly voiced. Monarch of Blue nodded toward him, and he returned the nod, but his heart stirred.

More accurately, the blood of the Infernal god stirred with a depraved desire.

’Ah, makes sense,’ Anon sighed.

Depravity and chaos perfectly summed up the Infernal side of things. This included the Infernal realm, the Infernal god, and now, his blood.

The Monarch of Blue was beautiful; he was beautiful.

Anon suppressed the desires within his heart and glanced at his veiled aunt.

"Weaver of Dreams," he uttered.

There was a period of silence that fell.

Amongst the Human Generals, some were less powerful, and some were more powerful.

Some were shrouded in mystery...

The Weaver of Dreams was arguably the most mysterious Human General and one of the most mysterious Dimension Lords across the entire cosmic space.

Her actual strength remained a mystery, but what she had established filled many, not just of the human race, with reverence towards her.

The Human Generals present rarely, if ever, crossed paths with her.

She did not need to step onto the cosmic battlefield because her merits were endless. Outside of war, how would one begin to approach someone of her stature?

Many eyes landed on this exchange.

"Is it because you’re the Young Lord now?" Her lips, not covered by the veil, curled upwards as she playfully wondered aloud, "You can’t call your aunt, Aunty, anymore?"

Her playful words seamlessly destabilized the tense atmosphere.

Anon’s heart stirred with chaotic desires, but his eyes did not show them. Instead, they shone with radiance, and a smile worthy of something as divine as himself stretched across his face.

"Aunty, aren’t I the best nephew across the Cosmic Space?" Anon chuckled, "Which other nephew do you know, succeeded in otherworldly ascension with cultivation of the second world?"

"Hehehe," her seductive chuckles left many dazed; however, her nephew appeared unaffected.

This child...

Her thoughts remained a mystery...

After greeting the first group of Human generals, Anon also greeted some of the most renowned Human Generals across the Cosmic Space.

Finally, three individuals remained.

These three were special in the sense that they had the identity of Human generals, the power of Dimension Lords, but the realm of Realm Fathers.

They were also the direct disciples of Overlords.

The figure in the lead introduced herself, "General of Void Shrinking greets humanity’s Young Lord."

She opened her left palm at her side and introduced the figure to her left, "General of Heaven Splitting," a dark-haired young man with shimmering, starlit eyes.

Amongst the many otherworldly creatures, his features could be considered average, but his unique eyes seemed to contain the secrets of the worlds.

"Master has said a great many things about you, oh Young Lord," he revealed a brilliant smile, and a radiant glow shone in the depths of his eyes.

To her right, she uttered, "General of Brutality," a slim figure with dark red hair and greyish eyes.

His sickly pale skin enhanced the gloomy aura that surrounded him; however, such a gloomy aura contained a unique charm.

As one would expect from such a name, he was not someone who was skilled with the necessary pretense to interact with Anon.

General of Void Shrinking awkwardly said, "Please excuse him. As the disciple of the Dragon Burial Human Emperor, he is extremely skilled in slaughter, however..."

Naturally, her implications were obvious, but to actually voice them would be tantamount to offending a Human Emperor, an Overlord.

Anon warmly smiled and said, "It’s not a problem."

’Not a problem whatsoever,’ he snickered inwardly, ’Why would I be displeased with this lovable little thing?’ 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

His eyes landed on the general of brutality and the general of void shrinking simultaneously, and he thought to himself, ’My heart endlessly stirs with chaotic desires.’

Seemingly perceiving Anon’s odd gaze, the general of void shrinking, doused with a sensation of discomfort, respectfully bowed her head and said, "We three are perpetually stationed in the Chaotic Ruins Chaos Field. Please let us know when you accept a mission located in territory seven of the east."

Hearing this, Anon’s eyes lit up.

"I will, certainly."
