Chapter 102: Shattering the first barrier of speed!

Following his upper body, the rest of Seth’s body blasted open in a show of crimson particles.

In fact, as the beast general launched at Seth’s sitting figure, where Anon resided, suspended in the air by the tendrils and chains, subtle ripples had taken form in the red water in his vicinity.

Humming lightly, Seth landed atop the red water.

Interestingly, his feet did not enter the water, instead, he remained standing on top of it, as if the water itself was firm grounding.

Escaping from beneath his feet were ripples that spread into his surroundings. He glanced at Anon before honing his gaze on the monster in front of him, less than a hundred meters away.

Behind him, the exit of the cave was present, but he didn’t even glance at that area.

’When someone is awakened from meditation prematurely, it causes an imbalance in the spirit, causing the aggressive reaction. If it was just Seth, then I too would’ve reacted like a beast, without any caution.’ Seth mused inwardly.

’Reacting to the incoming danger so quickly would’ve been impossible. But to force me to touch upon such speed that I created a false body, this creature is most definitely at the level of a Beast General, at least.’ Seth thought this, observing as his false body was obliterated into crimson particles.

The false body.

What was the false body?

And what would make you know what the false body was?

Similar to an afterimage, it would only appear due to the movement of an organism. But, unlike the afterimage, it could not be recreated by a special technique.

Indeed, there were multiple techniques and magical abilities in this world that created afterimages, but afterimages were no false bodies.

These false bodies were akin to one’s real body, radiating an aura similar to one’s real body, and lacked the illusoriness of an afterimage.

Similar to the sound barrier of the world before the great rebirth, there were also laws that operated this world.

False bodies were created on this new earth when the first barrier of speed was shattered!

Usually, shattering the first barrier of speed was possible for Beasts Generals and stronger.

And as for humans who can achieve this speed, it was a possibility only third world stellar fighters and stronger could usually create.

Seth saw his false body explode into crimson particles, and instead of dampening his mood, it caused him to smile.

’There’s no holding back now.’ Seth chuckled to himself.

The monster turned to Seth’s real body, and at the same time, two clicking sounds entered its ears as Seth attached the two halves of his staves in place.

The sharp sound carried a faint power that torn the chaotic aura permeating the cave into shreds as a dark aura leaked from his body, and a murderous glint shone in his eyes.

Caused by Seth’s sudden eruption of speed, the red water beneath his feet exploded into a towering wave that swallowed Anon’s body and splashed into the surroundings as Seth lunged towards the monster without fear.

In his wake, a false body had been created, slowly transforming into crimson particles that faded away whilst even more bodies formed across the cave.

Two, three, four, five... False bodies appeared in his wake as Seth appeared before the beast general monster. It roared loudly, causing the cave to tremor under the immense force whilst Seth stabbed with his staff towards it.

Reacting to Seth’s incoming attack, the beast’s paw came rushing with excitement to meet the staff, causing a collision that mustered a mighty booming sound. This sound created spiderwebbed cracks on the cave’s walls as sharp cracking sounds entered Seth’s ears.

’As expected.’ He thought whilst seeing his staff shatter and crumble before his eyes. Taking several steps back, his thoughts swirled in his mind at a rapid pace.

’By controlling the force that it bore when fighting other second world stellar fighters and Beast Commanders, I could’ve prevented it from breaking. But controlling the force of a Beast General has proven to be too much.’ He deduced.

A dark red aura whizzed through the air, following him as he retreated. It approached him at an even quicker pace than what he moved at. Simultaneously, the swirling mass of flesh and blood suddenly froze, suspended in the air.

Naturally, this was a false body, so the beast general monster had basically disappeared before Seth’s eyes. But Seth was more focused on the approaching dark aura.

With a wave of his hand, he caused crimson sparks to form in the air before him.

Immediately after, constructing at a speed almost comparable to the approaching red aura was a monumental tower forged from the red water beneath his feet.

Boom!

Appearing behind Seth was the monstrous beast general as it drove its paws towards Seth’s unprotected body.

At the same time, the dark red aura reached him, lunging at him with vicious intent.

However, the blood tower was created at an incredible speed, swallowing Seth’s figure in its entirety, protecting him from the two incoming attacks.

As it shot into the air, at its highest point, the blood tower curved mid-air before descending with an even more powerful might towards the beast general.

And as if arrogantly looking down on Seth’s attack which contained the properties of the second world, the beast general did not move, slashing and scarping again and again at the blood tower that protected Seth’s figure.

The collision between the descending tower and the swirling mass of flesh and blood created a sonic boom that spread into the surrounding hundreds of meters.

The explosion was powerful, so powerful that as the gusts of winds appeared, the tendrils and fleshy chains that held Anon in place, were immediately torn apart.

Whether intended by Seth or not, Anon’s figure was lifted into the air and viciously thrown into the cave’s walls, causing the wall to crack and explode upon greeting Anon’s body.

Once impacting with the cave’s wall, Anon instinctively coughed up a mouthful of blood, groaning in pain as his eyes widened in shock.

The beast general’s body, at least, part of it was completely severed, seeing pieces of flesh and droplets of blood fall into the red water whilst its body exploded under the force of the blood tower, its real body appearing in the depths of the cave over a hundred meters away.

The blood tower surrounding Seth’s figure dispersed after the dark red aura that constantly assaulted it seemingly ran out of fuel, dispersing in the air.

There was a silent stare down that occurred as the monster began realizing that its foe was stronger than expected.

Then, it roared.

It was a roar of pure rage that fully awakened Anon who rose up in a fit of fear toward this bellow.

But as quickly as Anon stood up, he stumbled back and fell to his buttocks, causing red water to splatter in his surroundings.

He had no sense of balance, but more than that, his body was assaulted by a feeling of extreme weakness...

There were gaping holes across his body, arms, legs, and torso, and gushing blood. His flesh and bones were seeable, some of it rotting visibly.

There were strange squirming taking place under his skin and strange fluids seeped from the pores of his skin. Blood trickled down his nose and his cheeks, oozed out of his ears, and also seeped from his mouth.

He just sat on his buttocks, too weak to move.

His mouth was agape and his eyes were wide open, staring blankly towards Seth’s direction.

His golden amber eyes had lost their previous luster whilst a dark reddish aura coated them, seemingly tainting them, drowning them, corrupting them and him, along with his spirit and will.

Simply put, he was in a pathetic state.

Falling from the ceiling were jagged rocks and pieces of rubble as the cave crumbled under the clashing of two incredible auras.

The broken part of the beast general’s body had reformed, swirling mass of flesh and flowing blood, as it focused its attention towards Seth completely.

If before it had placed both the intruders on equal footing, on a status equal to ants, then now, at least one of them, had reached a dangerous stage.

The towering body of this monstrosity slowly bent over, causing the earth to tremble and waves of red water to be created as it landed onto all fours, like a proper quadrupedal animal.

At the same time, sprouting out of its back was even more swirling pieces of flesh and flowing blood that warped into the shape of its previous upper body.

The image was odd to say the least, almost appearing as if two of these monsters had merged into a form, acquiring four legs and two arms, six paws in total.

When this image settled into the surroundings, its aura instantly intensified, almost pouring out of the metaphysical world and flooding into the physical realm.

The beast general monster opened both of its mouths, swirling flesh parting, and forming inside of them were massive balls of glowing blood.

Erupting with speed much faster than anything that its physical body could move at, two beams of glowing blood intertwined and released a light that shone on Seth’s face.

It appeared before him immediately, so close to him in fact, that it lit up his face.

His expression was still indifferent, most probably because he was yet to react.

Or maybe, it was due to confidence.

Under the lighting that brightened his face, it was possible to make out that in the very depths of his blood red eyes, peculiar characters had made an appearance.

Black in color, they contained a bloody hue.

These characters were unreadable to the human tongue.

They had appeared in front of Anon before, and were identified not as an ability of his revealed principle at the time, but an actual principle.

A very strange principle unique to Seth, it was his Demonic Nature!
