Chapter 61 - A Night of Terror from Kaito Ishikawa

Keiko's footsteps hurriedly rushed to the living room, where she grabbed Saki, who was sitting relaxed, enjoying some snacks. She did not forget to take Saki's phone with her, as it was the only object that could save all their lives. Meanwhile, Aira was not in the living room—perhaps she had gone to her bedroom, and that was a good thing.

"Fujimoto-san, quickly hide and contact someone for help. Do not call the authorities under any circumstances because it would be useless," Keiko said in a panic, guiding Saki into a closet with her phone.

"What's going on?" Saki was confused by Keiko's extremely frightened behaviour.

"Don't ask too many questions. There's no time left. Our lives are in your hands," Keiko replied with a tense and fearful expression.

"Huh?!" Saki was stunned and bewildered.

Saki's body was forcibly pushed into a closet located not far from the living room. Saki could see what was happening in the living room through the cracks in the closet door.

Not even a minute after Saki hid in the closet, a group of people barged in after breaking down the entrance door.

Everything Keiko had said earlier was true—their lives were indeed in danger as dozens of people dressed like Yakuza flooded the living room.

Even though Keiko was alone and surrounded, she didn't show the slightest fear despite being outnumbered.

"What brings Mr. Kaito here?" Keiko asked, her eyes watchful.

An elderly man named Kaito Ishikawa sat casually on the sofa, his eyes scanning the room, which was being set up for a party.

"It seems I've arrived at an inconvenient time," he said calmly, looking at the decorations in the living room.

Keiko clenched her fists at her sides. "I beg you, please leave, sir," she said as politely as possible while bowing.

"Unfortunately, I don't want to because I also want to throw a big party here."

Keiko's heart raced, her eyes wide open. Unconsciously, her body trembled violently. Situations like this were one of the risks of her job as a personal bodyguard. Still, honestly, since starting her profession, Keiko had prepared herself for the possibility that something bad might happen to her, even to the point of losing her life. Keiko shot a cold and threatening glare, asserting she wasn't afraid.

"Find that slut and drag her here now!" Kaito ordered coldly.

"I won't let you hurt her!" Keiko shouted, trying to stop Kaito's men, but her body instantly stiffened when a man with long white bangs pointed a gun directly at her head.

"Be a good and obedient girl, Keiko," he said casually, smiling broadly while holding the gun. Kaito's men successfully found Aira, who was hiding in her room, and forcibly brought her before Kaito.

The situation in the living room was extremely tense and chilling, as Saki could see Keiko's head being held at gunpoint by a man wearing glasses, while Aira knelt like a prisoner in front of a middle-aged man whom Saki could guess was the boss of these terrifying people.

Without saying a word, Kaito immediately acted violently, unleashing the anger in his heart, unaware that the woman before him was the wife of his grandson.

"Ahhh!" Aira screamed in shock, accompanied by pain and stinging around her cheek.

Not satisfied with slapping Aira's right cheek, Kaito now targeted her left cheek, repeating the act several times until fresh blood flowed from the corner of her mouth and her lip was torn.

"Don't hurt my Lady!!!!" Keiko screamed in frustration, unable to do anything.

"Trash like you truly deserve to be the subordinate of a lowly slut like her," he sneered coldly, throwing a scornful glare at Keiko.

From behind the wardrobe, Saki wept bitterly as she watched with her own eyes how Aira's face was slapped hard multiple times. After being slapped, Aira's hair was yanked so brutally that Saki could hear Aira's cries of pain. Yet, the old man showed no remorse—he only hurled insults at Aira and the child in her womb.

The man's actions were not only cruel but utterly inhumane. How could such a heartless older man target a defenceless pregnant woman instead of facing an opponent his size?

If this continued, Aira and Keiko might not survive. Fortunately, the villains were unaware of Saki's presence, giving her the chance to seek help.

Saki's hands trembled violently as she gripped her phone, trying to call Issei or any of Asahi's employees. But no one answered. Refusing to give up, she sent a message—but it remained unread.

Tears streamed down Saki's face, but she bit her lower lip so hard it bled, desperately holding back any sound. Deep in her heart, she prayed to God to protect them, and that soon, help would arrive. She felt relief flow through her when she finally received a response from Arashi. There was hope to get out of this nightmare.

Meanwhile, at Asahi Café, panic erupted as Issei and Arashi read Saki's urgent message and noticed the multiple missed calls. Issei, more frantic than anyone, feared for his fiancée's safety. But Arashi and Ryuji were equally alarmed, their fear escalating.

They chose to ride a motorcycle to reach Aira's apartment as quickly as possible. However, only Arashi had a bike, so the three of them squeezed onto it, disregarding traffic laws allowing only two passengers per motorcycle.

Aira's cheeks were swollen and bruised, with fresh blood dripping from the corner of her lips down to her chin. Tears continuously streamed down her face, making the pain and sting on her cheeks even worse.

Her hair was pulled so roughly that she was forced to tilt her head back, staring straight at the middle-aged man who looked at her with deep-seated hatred—the same hateful gaze she had seen from her cousin and her late stepmother, who always treated her like trash.

"I should have killed you and that filthy child from the beginning," he hissed, his voice dripping with venom.

"D-Don't insult my baby..." Aira whimpered, defending her baby.

Even in this desperate situation, she would protect her child with every last ounce of her strength, even if it cost her life.

"Even now, you dare to fight back? Impressive," he sneered mockingly.

"Even if I have to die protecting my child... I am not afraid..." Aira murmured weakly, speaking to the man she recognized as her husband's grandfather.

Kaito smirked cruelly. "You're as stubborn as a disgusting cockroach, and I despise cockroaches the most," he said as he tightened his grip around Aira's throat, intending to strangle her to death.

"Control yourself, Lord Kaito," Ryoji intervened, still pointing a gun at Keiko.

"Why are you stopping me, Ryoji?" Kaito growled in anger, furious that his attempt to send this wretched woman to hell was interrupted.

"You don't need to dirty your hands by killing her yourself. Just order your men to do it," Ryoji suggested while also buying time for the arrival of the people who would come to the rescue. Honestly, he knew that someone was hiding in the storage closet.

"In that case, I'll order one of them to shoot her in the head," Kaito proposed, as he wanted to see Aira dead quickly.

"Don't do that," Ryoji objected, as he had another plan in mind.

"Now you're trying to save that slut?" Kaito asked angrily, accusing Ryoji.

"No, that's not what I mean. How about having your men beat her up without using firearms or sharp weapons? Consider it a gift to her for daring to seduce Young Master Renji," Ryoji replied, making up an excuse.

"That's a good idea. I want to see her suffer to death," Kaito said, glaring at Aira with hatred.

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Kaito."

"What about her?" Kaito glanced at Keiko.

"Even if she resists, she won't be able to handle dozens of your men," Ryoji said, downplaying Keiko's abilities.

"You're right. Let them both die here," Kaito released his grip and roughly threw Aira's helpless body to the ground.

"What about Young Master Renji when he finds out about this?" Ryoji asked, bringing up Renji.

"We'll think about that later. What's important is that I want that wretched woman and her child dead," Kaito replied casually, unconcerned about Renji's anger, as he believed what he was doing was for the good and future of the Ishikawa family. Ryoji struck Keiko, causing her to fall to the floor with bruises on her face.

"Take care of those two women and finish them with your bare hands. Don't use any weapons," Kaito ordered his men. "Let's go, Ryoji."

"Yes, Mr. Kaito," Ryoji replied, following behind Kaito.

After Kaito and Ryoji left, Keiko immediately ran to Aira, sitting on the floor and crying in pain. Keiko carried Aira to a safer place and did her best to protect her from the evil hands of the men who wanted to harm her. Keiko and Saki finally exited her hiding place. They joined the fight as much as possible while waiting for help.

"Don't waste your energy. Just give up because there are more of us," one of the men said.

"Just because there are two of us and many of you doesn't mean we're afraid," Saki shouted bravely.

"Enough with the small talk. Attack!" shouted one of the tall, burly men.

This fight could be completely one-sided, no matter how you view it. The opponents were two women and a heavily pregnant woman—it was unfair, and it was obvious that the three women would be on the losing side.

Renji's men weren't absent, but they had all been gathered beforehand, as had Keiko's men. Considering the fighting abilities of Kaito's men, they were on a higher level, so it was no wonder that many people feared and respected Kaito greatly. They knew that causing trouble with Kaito was akin to seeking death.

While her two friends fought desperately to protect her, Aira could only sit there, crying and hiding, unable to do anything. Yet, she was the reason these evil people were here. Aira truly felt useless and like a burden.

Kaito's men successfully found Aira's hiding place and attempted to strike her with a wooden chair. Fortunately, Keiko noticed in time and threw herself in the way, using her body as a shield before knocking the attacker unconscious.

"Ke-Keiko!!!" Aira exclaimed in shock and sorrow.

"I-I'm fine, My Lady," Keiko reassured Aira, who was panicking.

"But your back..." Aira looked at Keiko anxiously.

"It's nothing serious. I'm used to getting hurt," Keiko replied calmly, trying to appear unaffected despite the intense pain in her back.

"I'm sorry... because of me, you all... sob..." Aira blamed herself, feeling utterly useless.

"Don't be sad, My Lady. We're fine. Go hide somewhere safe." Aira nodded obediently, even as tears streamed down her face. She followed Keiko's words, not wanting to be a burden while they were trying to protect her.

When they arrived, they saw the front door broken from being forced open, intensifying Ryuji's fear. Upon stepping inside, he was greeted by a horrifying sight.

Ryuji's eyes widened in shock before he immediately lunged forward. "How dare you hit my angel's face!!!" he roared in fury, launching a powerful kick at the man who had struck Keiko's cheek, as well as at several others attempting to approach.

Issei rushed in to help Saki, who was struggling against multiple attackers. At the same time, Arashi quickly took Aira to a safer place, away from the fight.

Inside Renji's house, the scene was nothing short of chaos—it looked like a shipwreck. Every piece of furniture was either broken or severely damaged beyond recognition. The celebration party for Hinami and Yamato was completely ruined. The beautiful flowers, carefully arranged by Keiko, were now scattered on the floor, trampled underfoot.

"Take My Lady and Fujimoto-san out of here, now!" Keiko commanded firmly.

"No. We are not leaving you behind," Saki rejected the order without hesitation.

"Go while you still have the chance," Keiko murmured, looking at Saki sorrowfully.

Arashi gave a small smirk and stepped forward to stand beside Keiko. "Just because we're café employees, don't assume we don't know how to fight," he said confidently.

"This isn't just an ordinary fight. Your opponents—"

"I don't care who they are," Ryuji cut in coldly, his sharp gaze locking onto the well-dressed men before them. "They will pay dearly for hurting you and trying to harm our friend."

Keiko couldn't help but be impressed by Ryuji's boldness in standing up to protect her and their friends.

"Relax, Keiko. Believe it or not, I was once the leader of a Yankee gang back in school, so I'm no stranger to fighting and getting hurt," Saki added with equal confidence despite having been out of practice for years.

"This is serious—don't treat it like a joke. Please, leave this place," Keiko pleaded.

"What kind of friend would abandon their own in times of trouble?" Saki responded firmly.

"I'd rather die protecting you than live without you," Ryuji added, gazing deeply at Keiko, who was bruised and battered yet still beautiful in his eyes.

Saki, Issei, and Arashi silently laughed to themselves. They all wanted to tease Ryuji for his sudden poetic words, but the timing was completely off. If not for the tense situation, the three would have laughed, mocking Ryuji—the self-absorbed guy who had finally spoken words of love.

"Hey! Are you done with your chit-chat?!" one of the men snapped, irritated that the group had been talking instead of attacking.

"None of your business!" Saki retorted sharply, annoyed at the interruption.

"Enough talking and strategizing. In the end, all of you will die anyway."

"We'll see about that, old man," Ryuji sneered cruelly.

"Such arrogance, brat. Kill them all!!!" the man commanded his subordinates.

The fight resumed. Many of Kaito's men fell despite being outnumbered, leaving them desperate. As Kaito's subordinates, they had been confident—they were trained in martial arts and had experience in street fights. In their minds, Keiko and her friends were no match for them.

However, they were gravely mistaken. Unexpectedly, Arashi, Ryuji, Issei, and Saki were all skilled fighters, with the pierced young man proving to be especially formidable. He was far stronger than Keiko and easily took down several members of the Ishikawa gang despite his smaller physique.

Amid the commotion, Aunt Emiko came with Shintaro and Fujin. They had finished shopping for the party materials when they were suddenly faced with another "party." Fujin at once instructed Aunt Emiko to take Aira to a safe place, and they took matters into their own hands.

With the arrival of Fujin and Shintaro, the tide turned. Kaito's men were now at a severe disadvantage, especially since they had already lost more than half their numbers. No one had expected the staff of Asahi Café to be such capable fighters—far superior to even Kaito's trained men.

"Come on, fight! Where's all that arrogance now? You had no shame in ganging up on three defenceless women—one of whom is pregnant!" Ryuji growled, his voice filled with anger and hatred.

Saki secretly observed Ryuji and realized how terrifying he could be. The man who was obsessed with dolls and had a god-tier level of narcissism was, in fact, an incredible fighter—almost like a berserker in battle.

Kaito's subordinates were defeated one by one, and peace was finally restored. Aunt Emiko and Aira were able to emerge from their hiding place.

"Are you all okay?" Aira asked worriedly, her eyes scanning her friends, especially Keiko and Saki, who had fought bravely.

"I should be the one asking. Are you alright, ma'am?" Keiko asked back, her voice laced with concern as she anxiously examined Aira from head to toe.

Aira's eyes welled up with tears. Overcome with emotion, she lunged forward and hugged both Keiko and Saki, sobbing uncontrollably. "I'm so glad you're safe," she cried, feeling guilty that all she could do was hide with Aunt Emiko instead of helping.

Just as the situation seemed to have settled, one of Kaito's men—who had not been fully unconscious—suddenly attempted to shoot Aira with a pistol.

Saki was the first to notice and reacted instantly, pulling Aira to the side. However, the bullet grazed Saki's right shoulder, causing blood to spill from the wound. The sudden movement caused Aira to trip, and her stomach accidentally hit the edge of a table.

Arashi wasted no time in punching the attacker unconscious while Ryuji swiftly disarmed him, snatching the gun away.

Aira fell to the ground, writhing in pain. A pained moan ripped from her mouth as tears streamed down her face. Blood began to pool under her, staining both the ground and her trembling legs.

Saki's condition was also worrisome—her shoulder was bleeding heavily. Though the bullet had only grazed her, the wound was still serious, and her clothes were now soaked in fresh blood.

"M-my baby..." Aira whimpered, clutching her stomach in agony. Cold sweat drenched her face, and her complexion had turned deathly pale.
