My Young Husband, The Assasin-Chapter 60: The Arrival of Kaito Ishikawa
Chapter 60 - The Arrival of Kaito Ishikawa
As per Aira's request, Maki's case was closed, and the charges filed by Renji were dropped. Of course, this news brought great joy to the Kenzaki family, especially Kairo, who felt deeply indebted to Aira. If it weren't for Aira's request, Maki might have had to spend several years in prison and give birth there. Fortunately, Aira had a generous heart and was willing to forgive.
"At the request of Lady Aira, the charges against you have been dropped," explained Takamaru, Renji's lawyer, who had come specifically to handle Maki's case today.
"Aira?!" Maki exclaimed in disbelief.
"Yes, she asked Mr. Renji to drop the charges against you because she didn't want to see you give birth in prison," Takamaru explained the reason behind the withdrawal of the charges.
"There's no way Aira would say something like that," Maki retorted, unwilling to fully believe the words of the pineapple-haired man.
Takamaru sighed softly. "Believe it or not, that's your right. I have nothing more to say," Takamaru stood up, grabbing his black shirt from the bench beside him. "Take care of yourself, and Mr. Renji has a message for you: if you cause trouble again, your life will be on the line," Takamaru warned before leaving Maki.
Takamaru's words sounded more like a threat than a message or advice. Not long after, Kairo and Shina arrived to pick Maki up and take her back to the Kenzaki residence, which Renji had previously seized. This was also done at Aira's request, as she still considered Maki and Kairo her friends.

Maki burst into tears in Kairo's embrace, cursing herself for being so foolish and cruel to Aira. She had been blinded by jealousy, even though she was the one who took Kairo away and caused Aira heartbreak and suffering. Yet, why was Aira still so kind-hearted and willing to forgive someone as wicked as her? During her time in prison, Maki reflected on her behaviour toward Aira and admitted that she was wrong and deserved punishment for her actions.
"Thank you, Aira," Maki thought, filled with emotion and deep gratitude.

Tomorrow was supposed to be Hinami's engagement ceremony with Hiroshi Okada. Aira and Renji planned to attend to offer their congratulations and blessings as a family. However, this afternoon, Aira was utterly surprised by the arrival of Hinami and Yamato, who sat side by side like a couple.
Aira was shocked, but she was also happy to see Hinami again after such a long time without meeting or speaking to each other. For a moment, she forgot about the big news Tetsuya wanted to share.
The two sisters shared a warm embrace, tears of emotion and longing streaming down their faces. After satisfying their longing and apologizing to each other, Aira turned her attention to Tetsuya and Yamato.
"Can you explain the reason for your visit?" Aira asked curiously, as it was unusual for Tetsuya to visit without prior notice, especially since Renji wasn't home and Saki hadn't visited.
If the reason was to see Keiko, her personal guard, that was unlikely because Tetsuya had outright rejected Keiko some time ago. Now Keiko had moved on, starting a relationship with Ryuji, though it was still limited to chatting and phone calls.
"There's something I need to tell you about Hinami," Tetsuya said with a serious expression.
"What's wrong with Hinami?" Aira asked, slightly panicked, as it concerned her only sister. Tetsuya glanced at Yamato, signalling him to speak to Aira.
"What's going on? Why are you looking at Yamato like that?" Aira asked.
"Um..." Yamato hesitated, feeling awkward and unsure how to speak to Aira.
"Yes?" Aira waited curiously for Yamato to explain.
"Sis," Hinami called out, her face slightly flushed.
Aira grew even more confused and wondered, "Do you have something to tell me too?"
"Yes, actually, I—"
"Miss Hinami and I got officially married at the civil registry today," Yamato quickly interjected in one breath.
"What?!" Aira exclaimed in shock.
Aira's shocked expression was quite amusing, as she couldn't believe Yamato's words, even though Yamato wasn't the type to lie. Tetsuya smiled faintly behind his coffee cup, observing Aira's reaction. It wasn't surprising that Aira was so shocked.
"What about your engagement to that man, Hiroshi Okada?" Aira asked, still filled with shock and disbelief, never imagining that Hinami would marry Yamato.
Did they know each other, or was it arranged?
Aira was truly confused and curious about how they ended up together.
"He's an old man who's more suited to be called 'Grandpa' by Hinami than a future husband," Tetsuya remarked, gently setting his coffee cup down.
Tetsuya felt annoyed when mentioning the old man. He felt like gouging out his other eye as a wedding gift for Yamato.
"So, that man Hiroshi Okada isn't a young man like I imagined," Aira muttered, disappointed that her expectations didn't match the reality of Hinami's would-be husband.
"His age is about the same as my grandfather's," Tetsuya added, further shocking Aira.
Unconsciously, Aira let out a long sigh. "Thank goodness you didn't end up engaged to him," Aira said, feeling relieved and happy.
"Thank you for saving Hinami, and please take care of her for me, Yamato-san. She's my only precious little sister," Aira said with hope.
"Of course, Miss Aira. I will take care of her and love her for the rest of my life," Yamato replied.
"Cough..." Tetsuya suddenly coughed upon hearing Yamato's sweet words. Aira fell silent momentarily, then smiled faintly as she watched Tetsuya choke in surprise.
"From now on, just call me 'sis.' No need to address me formally as 'Miss Aira.' After all, we're family now," Aira requested, wanting to eliminate Yamato's formality toward her.
"But I'm still Mr. Tetsuya's subordinate, and for now, I'm more comfortable calling you Miss Aira," Yamato politely declined.
"Alright then," Aira conceded.
Of course, this happy news had to be celebrated, and Aira wanted to share it with her other friends so they could share in her joy.
Meanwhile, while Aira enjoyed happiness, Hiroshi Okada, Hinami's former fiancé, was not. Furious and frustrated, he vented his anger by destroying items in his office. Because of Tetsuya's interference, his plans had failed. He had hoped that by making Hinami his fiancée, he could gain a foothold to approach Renji Ishikawa through the sibling relationship between Hinami and Aira. But now, everything had fallen apart. His carefully laid plans were ruined, and he could do nothing because the bridge he had built was gone.
Hiroshi's hatred grew deeper, turning into a grudge against Tetsuya. He had already taken one of his eyes, and now he had ruined his grand plan.
"I'll make sure to kill you with my own hands, Tetsuya Ishikawa," Hiroshi hissed with hatred.

The tense atmosphere was palpable, and the air felt cold and piercing. This wasn't without reason, as the two Ishikawas from different generations exchanged icy, piercing glares.
"You've got some nerve coming to see me, Renji," the old man said, breaking the silence.
The gaze of the old man dressed in a black kimono was cold and filled with anger, not unlike Renji's piercing stare.
"There's no reason for me to be afraid of coming to see you, old man," Renji replied casually, unfazed by his grandfather's intimidating gaze. Amid the tension, a long-haired, bespectacled man approached and offered Renji a cup of green tea.
"Please enjoy the green tea, young master," he said politely and warmly, a wide smile gracing his face.
Ryoji Yakushi's demeanour wasn't much different from Tetsuya's—both were skilled at hiding their true expressions and always wore fake smiles.
"No need to trouble yourself, Ryoji. I won't be here long," Renji said, pushing the cup of green tea away.
"I understand, but at least finish the tea before you leave," Ryoji insisted, seemingly forcing the issue despite Renji's polite refusal.
"Show some respect to Ryoji by drinking it. What's so difficult about that?" Kaito snorted in annoyance.
"What guarantee do I have that you didn't put something in it?" Renji said, eyeing Ryoji with suspicion. Ryoji was his grandfather's right-hand man.
"Watch your mouth, Renji!" Kaito barked, unable to accept that his trusted aide was being doubted.
"My eyes aren't blind. Even at a glance, I could see Ryoji slipping something into the tea he made," Renji glanced disdainfully at the cup of green tea. "Was it the drugs you've been selling on the black market?" he continued, shifting his gaze to his grandfather. Ryoji and Kaito were startled because Renji had noticed, even though they secretly did it.
"Young master's eyes are truly sharp. I'm impressed," Ryoji praised, masking his surprise.
"How long will you keep doing this, Grandfather? Isn't everything in this grand estate and the Ishikawa family's wealth enough to satisfy you?" Renji challenged, referring to the crimes his grandfather had been committing.
"I want everyone to respect and fear the Ishikawa family like they used to. Restoring the true honour of the Ishikawa family is my goal," Kaito hissed.
"Do you have to achieve that by killing so many people and poisoning the younger generation? Is that the honour you're talking about?!" Renji shouted angrily.
"You'll never understand the true meaning of the Ishikawa family's honour," Kaito said dismissively.
"It's you who doesn't understand, Grandfather. You've tarnished the honour of the Ishikawa family, who were once Shoguns," Renji said sadly, realizing that his grandfather's eyes and heart had been blinded by revenge and ambition, leading him to do whatever it took to achieve his goals.
"I want to end all of this. Starting today, I'm cutting all ties with the Ishikawa family and with you, Grandfather," Renji declared, stating why he had come to see his grandfather.
"Don't make me laugh, Renji. What can a brat like you do without the power I wield? People out there respect and fear you only because you're my grandson," Kaito chuckled mockingly at Renji's declaration.
"It's me who has been staining my hands with blood, killing everyone you deemed an obstacle. Even if you weren't behind me, people would still remember clearly who the cold-blooded black devil was for all these years," Renji hissed, recalling his reputation as the top assassin.
"How dare you threaten me after everything I've done for you! Is this how you repay me, Renji?!" Kaito roared furiously, unable to accept Renji's disrespectful attitude.
Renji stood up from his seat and bowed deeply. "From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for raising me, Grandfather. But don't forget that you raised me as a killing machine, not as your grandson or a member of the Ishikawa family. All this time, you've only seen me as a puppet to achieve the highest position," he said respectfully, then turned and left Kaito's private room and the Ishikawa estate.
"You can't just leave like this, Renji! You'll never be able to leave me!" Kaito shouted in a fit of rage.
Renji chose to keep walking, leaving the grand Ishikawa estate behind. Once he stepped out of the gate, he no longer had any connection to Kaito Ishikawa. He had decided to start a new life with his small family, one that he wanted to live peacefully, free from the conflicts of power struggles between regional faction leaders.
Now, he was just an ordinary person with no ties to the Ishikawa family, as he had firmly decided to leave the dark world behind forever.

Aira secretly organized a celebration party for Hinami and Yamato's wedding at her apartment. From now on, Renji had forbidden her from going anywhere because her due date was approaching, even though there were still a few weeks left. However, Renji was overly worried and didn't want a repeat of the incident that had happened to Aira before.
Renji was deeply shocked when he heard the news about Hinami marrying Yamato. He never expected Tetsuya to come up with such a bold idea. Still, it was better for Hinami to marry Yamato than an old man like Hiroshi Okada. For the time being, until the birth, Hinami would stay with Aira to keep her company, as Aira would likely feel lonely and bored being confined to the house. The management of the Hoshino family was still under Raiden's control. Still, Tetsuya closely monitored him so Raiden couldn't cause any trouble.
Since morning, Keiko and Aunt Emiko had helped Aira decorate the living room, transforming it into a party space with a simple altar. Aira was surprised to discover that Keiko had a talent for decorating and arranging flowers.
After finishing the decorations, Aunt Emiko, accompanied by another male employee from Asahi, went to the supermarket to buy the necessary ingredients. Fortunately, Hinami was at school, so she had no idea about the surprise party being prepared.
It had been over an hour since lunchtime, but Aunt Emiko and the others still hadn't returned from shopping.
The sound of the doorbell rang clearly, and Aira's face lit up with joy, thinking it must be Aunt Emiko returning.
Keiko suddenly felt uneasy, and her instincts were usually never wrong. But this time, she hoped she was mistaken. Maybe her heart was racing because she was about to see Ryuji, the young man she had been getting closer to lately. But as Aira's guard, she couldn't let her guard down, as danger could strike at any moment.
"Ma'am, let me answer the door. You stay here," Keiko said.
"Alright," Aira replied.
With hurried steps, Keiko walked to the front door to confirm whether her intuition was wrong. Before opening the door, she peeked through the small glass window.
Outside stood a middle-aged man with long black hair, dressed in an expensive suit, who slightly resembled Renji. Behind him were dozens of tall, intimidating men in similar outfits.
Deep down, Aira sensed that this stranger was not a good person and could be considered a criminal. After all, who visits someone's home with dozens of bodyguard-like men?
Keiko's eyes widened, her heart racing as cold sweat poured down her face. She stared in shock and fear at the middle-aged man she recognized all too well—the head of the Ishikawa family, Kaito Ishikawa. Her bad feelings had proven true. Now, a great danger was right at their doorstep.
'I have to save Lady Aira,' Keiko thought in panic.
