My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 87- Jealousy
Chapter 87- Jealousy
"G-Good morning..." Elio said as he snapped out of his daze. He had completely forgotten that he was living with Fiona now. He moved naturally out of his room, his hand scratching his stomach under his shirt, and his other hand rubbing his eyes. His shorts hang loose on his waist, and he looks so messy.
His face turned a bit red as he quickly tried to adjust his attire and fix his messy hair while looking away.
Fiona was clad in pjamas and her hair was tied into a messy bun as she stared back at him. She didn’t seem that bothered as she greeted him back.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" She asked in a soft tone.
"Y-Yeah... I’m feeling good." He nodded his head. "Did you sleep well?"
"Relatively," Fiona replied as she sipped from her coffee. "Anyway, go get ready, we are going to leave for school."
"Got it."
The two have taken a two-day break from school, and now it is time to go back. After all, they can’t take a break forever, and even though they don’t necessarily need school, it was a good thing to keep themselves attached to normal life in some way so they don’t drown in the fantastical world they were living every day.
Staying grounded in reality and keeping the idea that they were humans first and foremost is what keeps their sanity intact. Many Vampire Hunters lead normal lives precisely for that reason.
Being this supernatural makes you lose sense of who you truly are with time.
Elio turned around and walked to the bathroom to ready himself. The bathroom was naturally filled with all the possible tools he might need to prepare himself. A bathtub, a shower, a jacuzzi, and a steam room. There were also shampoos and creams of all kinds and colors for every single necessity.
He was overwhelmed by the sheer variety of options, but he ended up choosing what he deemed the safest and then continued preparing himself.
Staring in the mirror at himself, he was simply in awe at how much he changed. If the first week had done wonders for his face and body, then the second week had completely overhauled him. He was now considerably more handsome, more muscular, and taller. He looked completely different except for some familiar shades of his past self.
’I’m really a new person... Who is this good-looking guy?!’ He touched his sharper jawline as he looked left and right. Elio could see that he was heading toward the ’calming’ type of handsome.
Soft features with enough sharpness to captivate another person. His hair also looked quite nice on his face.
’Hmm, I don’t think I need a haircut, this looks nice.’ He nodded. This new look has boosted his self-confidence quite a bit. He was now less conscious of his looks, which was something to delete from his long list of insecurities.
A good step.
After that, Elio put on his clothes and left the bathroom. In the kitchen, he found Fiona waiting for him. She had already prepared herself and looked stunning, as usual. She had set the table and prepared breakfast.
"Mmm, thank you. I should’ve helped."
"Don’t sweat it. You were tired, and you needed that extra hour of sleep." Fiona said as she sipped on her coffee. "Rest is more important than this for you. Especially at your current level, where your Blood Energy isn’t at the level where it can heal your muscles and bones fast enough."
"... I see..." Elio nodded his head. ’Fiona probably doesn’t feel exhausted at all. That sounds so terrifyingly powerful.’
So, Elio started eating breakfast. It was impeccable, as usual. He found himself completely engrossed in it.
Fiona gave him a small glance before she faintly shook her head and focused on her coffee again. At that moment, the door knocked.
"Hm?" Fiona looked up, immediately knowing who it was. She was about to stand up to open the door, only for Elio to stop her and stand up himself.
"Please sit down, I will open it."
Before she could say anything, he turned around and walked to the door.
As he opened it, he saw a familiar face on the other side. It was Alex.
"Good morning, Fio-"
Before he could even finish the sentence, Alex froze as he stared at Elio. Then, Elio stared back at him. The two looked at each other speechlessly.
"What the hell are you doing over here?!"
"Ummm... I’m living here?" Elio replied.
"Living here? What? Isn’t this Fiona’s-" Then, it clicked in his head as his eyes widened. "Wait, a minute."
*Shove*
Pushing Elio out of the way, he walked in, only to see Fiona sitting at the table drinking coffee. His heart dropped to his knees, and his face paled.
"N-No way..." He muttered. "You have got to be kidding me, Fiona."
"Hm?" Fiona looked up. "What are you talking about?"
"A-Are you... Are you living with this guy?! Why is he here?"
"Well, I did tell you that I had to find a way to protect Elio after what happened. This was the easiest way."
"..."
"He had moved in yesterday."
Each word was like a knife stabbing into Alex’s heart. He felt as if he was being strangled alive as a million thoughts crossed his mind.
’Living together... He and... Fiona?’ His mind went places he never thought it could go, and each thought only made him even more devastated. He couldn’t understand what was happening.
’How could that bastard be living with Fiona?! I never had that opportunity in my entire life, and now he casually walks into her house as if it’s nothing?’ He glared at Elio, who walked back to his chair to finish his breakfast.
A feeling of incredible jealousy and spite started filling his heart.
"So, what brought you here this early in the morning?" Fiona asked as she put her coffee down and stood up.
"I came to check on you since your butler told me you have moved to your penthouse. I was wondering if... You know..." He said.
"Well..." Fiona sighed as she looked away. "Yeah, it is better not to talk about this."
The words were ambiguous, but Alex got the hint and nodded his head. Something had happened between her and her dad, and it clearly influenced her idea to completely move out.
"Well, are you coming with us to school?" She asked.
"H-Huh? Yes... Well, of course, I will be there with you." He said with suppressed rage, staring at Elio who couldn’t finish his food from all the glares.
’You are making it too obvious, dude.’ He rolled his eyes. It was clear that Alex harbored some sort of romantic feelings for Fiona and he was horrible at hiding that. Fiona seemed to completely ignore it or not notice it altogether.
After washing his mouth, the group finally left the house and headed down to the car waiting for them.
They got inside where Alex sat next to Fiona, and Elio sat opposite them. Or to be more precise... Alex rushed first to make sure that would happen.
He kept staring at Elio like a criminal the entire trip. It was uncomfortable, to say the least.
’I’m not your rival or something! Leave me alone!’ Elio cried inside.
