My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 116: Theory Tested (Bonus)
She moved faster with each step until she reached the edge of the rooftop balcony and launched herself upward with explosive force; before landing directly on Lucien’s balcony with such strength that caused crack on the surface beneath her boots.
Her eyes locked onto Lucien’s through the glass door separating them. She could see him standing in the center of that glowing magic circle along with everyone else behind him.
Annette swung her blade almost instantly without warning and a crescent-shaped arc of cutting energy erupted from her sword’s edge and traveled forward at blinding speed toward the glass barrier separating them.
The force of her attack shattered through it in an explosion of glittering shards that scattered everywhere across both sides of that divide.
But just as those fragments hit the floor, Lucien and every single member of the League disappeared in a brilliant flash of blue light.
And Annette’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at the empty space.
——
Ethan’s chest heaved as he struggled to pull in air, his entire body drenched in sweat. They had been going at it for hours now, well past noon, and every muscle in his body screamed in protest.
He drove the Ragnarok down into the ground, then rested both hands on his knees with his back hunched forward.
His dragon transformation was fully active. There were dark scales covering his arms, and there was a glow of his amber eyes with reptilian slits. Of course there were claws and his tail swayed behind him, But that wasn’t all.
He had also released his demon side. A darkish purple hue emanated from his body and an extra pair of smaller horns had emerged just infront the draconic ones, marking the full manifestation of both his bloodlines.
Across from him, Nina was perfectly still with her shield lowered and her sword resting at her side. She wasn’t tired in the slightest. Instead, she watched him with a frantic look on her face, clearly distressed at having been forced to push him this hard for so long.
Right then, several system screens materialized before Ethan’s vision in rapid succession.
A cluster of experience point rewards appeared first, but he swiped them aside mentally to review later. He wanted to focus on the more important notifications stacking up behind them.
[Congrats! The Second Meridian has been opened]
[You will now experience a significant buff to your base strength, speed, and stamina]
[Congrats! Your mastery over Battle Aura has improved significantly]
[You can now channel 35% more Battle Aura than before]
[Ragnarok Bond Progress: 8% Complete]
[Ragnarok has granted you increased control over the weapon]
[New Skill Unlocked: Recall]
[Recall → Allows the wielder to telekinetically summon Ragnarok back to their grip from any distance]
Ethan nodded as he read through that last one. "Useful."
Another notification appeared immediately after:
[Ragnarok commends your progress and dedication to growth]
[The weapon implores you to continue honing your skills so that the bond between you may deepen further]
Ethan almost smiled at that before the next set of screens appeared.
[Congrats! Your Hatchling Stage is complete]
[Dragon Physiology - Hatchling Stage: 100% Complete]
[Your body’s growth will now adjust to the next stage: Wyrm]
His entire body seized up for just a split second as an overwhelming sensation washed over him from head to toe. It wasn’t pain, exactly, but it was intense enough that he had to clench his teeth.
His senses sharpened dramatically that he could even hear steady rhythm of Nina’s heartbeat from where she stood.
Ethan exhaled slowly and straightened up as another notification appeared: 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
[Dragon Physiology - Wyrm Stage: 9% Complete]
"Alright, we are moving up already" he said
[There’s an upgrade to your Dragon’s Trait: Inverse]
[Passive activation threshold improved. The Inverse trait will now activate automatically 4 minutes after taking damage (previously 5 minutes)]
[Damage resistance fortification remains at 1% per damage type and level received]
But then something occurred to him. Part of him had expected to gain a dragon affinity upon reaching Wyrm stage, but none of that had happened so far.
He had learned about dragon affinities from Nina during one of their earlier training sessions. She, being half-dragon, possessed a fire dragon affinity inherited from Pythos, the flame dragon who had raised her after she was abandoned.
Dragons typically developed elemental affinities tied to their bloodline or environment during their growth stages.
Fire dragons commanded flames, Ice dragons wielded frost and Lightning dragons controlled storms.
Ethan had always assumed he would show signs of an affinity too once he advanced his dragon physiology progression.
"When do I gain a dragon affinity?" Ethan asked, directing the question toward his system interface.
A new message appeared almost immediately:
[Dragon affinities typically manifest at the Skyreaver Growth Stage]
[However, some dragons begin showing early signs of their affinity toward the later stages of Wyrm development (70%-90% completion)]
"I see," Ethan said.
That made sense. He was only at nine percent completion for Wyrm stage right now, so it would still be some time before any affinity began showing itself.
But then another thought crossed his mind, something he had theorized since watching Percival and Aliyah spar against each other in camp.
The Cannon Fist technique.
With the second meridian now open after those hellish hours of training with Nina, and with him having just reached Wyrm stage...
He was pretty certain that if he stacked everything in his arsenal together, all at once, he should be able to reach that level of strength and speed required to pull off the technique himself.
Dragon transformation for the overall boost. Demon trait for amplification doubling all effects.
First and second meridians both open for enhanced physical capabilities.
Saber battle aura channeled through his entire body for increased speed and reflexes.
First Guardian foundation phase for added strength output.
If he combined all of those factors together simultaneously...
Ethan’s eyes narrowed as he did the mental math in his head one more time just to be sure.
Yeah. It should work.
He took several steps away from Nina toward a different direction, andNina watched him curiously but said nothing as she remained at her position.
Ethan rolled his shoulders, loosening up his muscles. Then he took a deep breath, followed by a stance and exhaled slowly
Ethan pulled his right fist back slowly, measuring the distance precisely while factoring in everything.
Then he thrust it forward with full force, stopping it mere centimeters away from an invisible target point in the air.
The air in front of his knuckles compressed for just a split second and a devastating shockwave erupted outward from his fist, tearing through the part of ground.
Nina’s eyes widened in surprised, but just before that exact moment, something else occurred.
Percival had just walked around the corner into the courtyard from the side entrance, drawn by the sound of combat training earlier.
He froze in place the instant he saw what had just happened.
His eyes were wide, his mouth slightly open in pure disbelief as he stared at the technique being completed. "There’s no fucking way..."

A/N: For Some Reason The App isn’t letting me post Ethan’s Demon-Dragon Transformation here which i find really strange.
Perhaps i may have been banned from comments but I will set this up on Character Display and Discord!
