My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 115: The Imperial Guard (Bonus)
Ethan walked back toward their direction with an expressionless look on his face, paying less attention to several reward notification screens popping up in his vision until he willed them away.
Eduardo spoke up once Ethan drew closer, "Master Ethan, isn’t this too much?"
Ethan quickly replied, "Two times these people have attacked me in my own place. Two times! I will NOT let there be a third repeat."
He paused before adding, "So until Princess Isabella’s plan works out, nothing will be left to chance. No bullets, rockets, or whatever explosives they send will get past those gates."
He pointed upward. "And if one does, the archer up there will take care of it."
Valerie’s head tilted upward, trying to get a better look at the archer summon he just mentioned.
Eduardo didn’t bother looking up but kept a concerned expression on his face as he stared at Ethan, then nodded.
Ethan asked, "Is Percival still asleep?"
Eduardo nodded. "Yes, Master Ethan."
Ethan said nothing more about that and turned to leave. "Come, Nina. Let’s go continue our training."
Nina looked like she was about to cry or refute again.
Prompting Ethan to give the order, "Not a single fucking tear, Nina."
That was a command and Nina nodded several times with a sobbing expression on her face.
As they walked away, Ethan stopped briefly and turned back to Eduardo. "I’d like for us to continue with the sword training when you return, Eduardo."
Eduardo inclined his head respectfully. "Very well."
Ethan nodded and continued toward the backside of the manor.
Valerie watched him go with genuine sadness and concern in her eyes.

Within Lucien’s private floor at the Lucky Hand Casino...
Several members of the League had gathered in the main room and Lucien was just about to address them.
Beside him, was Dante who looked completely at ease despite being surrounded by professional killers.
Lucien gestured toward his nephew with one hand and spoke to the room. "This is Dante Fitzgerald," he announced. "He’ll be joining us."
Casper, who had been leaning on the bar with a drink in hand, let out a short laugh.
"Replacing Joe already ?. The body’s barely cold Boss"
Lucien, along with the others had ignored Casper’s comment.
"It seems that this Ethan Stark isn’t just some mere person," Lucien continued. "According to Dante here, he possesses a Legendary-class summon."
That statement got more everyone’s attention immediately.
Lucien turned and gestured toward Eula. "To the best of my knowledge, your men are still not back. Correct?"
Eula’s face gained a disdainful look as she nodded. "Yes, Luci," she said quietly.
Lucien’s eyes narrowed slightly before he addressed the room again.
"From now on, I want to know everything there is to know about this kid," he said. "How he moves. Who he moves with. Where he goes. What he eats for breakfast if necessary."
He paused for emphasis before adding:
"And if there comes a time when direct action is required, it shall be by those of you who are in this room. There will be no more need for the agents at your call."
Dante stepped up then. "Just assign this to me," he said confidently. "I’ll take care of it."
Casper let out another laugh from across the room.
"Oh, look at that," he said mockingly. "The new guy’s eager to prove himself already."
Dante’s jaw tightened but he said nothing in response.
Lucien raised one hand to silence them both before speaking again. "For now, Dante, concern yourself with learning our rules."
Then he turned toward Casper and added, "Dante will be your pair."
Casper’s grin faded then. "I do quite fine without pairs, boss."
Lucien’s eyes began to glow, which signaled his patience was wearing thin.
Casper caught the look and immediately raised both hands in surrender with a sigh.
"Whatever you say, boss," he muttered.
-
Right then, Lucien’s expression shifted as his eyes widened just a fraction.
Around the room, every single member of the League reacted at the same moment. Their heads turned or their postures changed as they all sensed it.
There were multiple mana signatures. High ones and very close by.
"We’re surrounded," one of them called out from near the window.
Lucien turned immediately toward the glass door that led out of the room onto the large rooftop balcony.
One of his men, a tall warrior, stepped outside quickly to get a better look at what was happening below.
He came back in a moment later with an alarmed expression on his face.
"It’s the Imperial Guard," he said urgently.
Casper laughed out loud at that revelation. "Ah, this just got a whole lot more interesting,"
The Imperial Guard was the King’s elite force. They didn’t show up unless something serious had happened or unless they were operating on direct orders from royalty itself.
And if they were here now... it only meant one thing; the Princess who had been involved in last night’s attack had informed them.
Lucien turned sharply toward Eula and Greta with fury flashing across his face as he yelled:"Did you not take care of your mess?!"
Eula looked genuinely fearful as she said in response: "We did!"
Lucien looked up at the ceiling and let out sigh as though resigning himself already.
"Perhaps it was always a matter of time," he muttered.
Then he turned toward another caster by the side of a large support pillar in the room. She had dark blue hair tied back loosely and wore black-framed glasses over her violet eyes.
"You know what to do, Martina," Lucien said calmly. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Martina nodded and walked toward the center of the room. She held out her staff and stomped its base on the floor.
A large magic circle of greenish-blue light erupted outward from where her staff had struck the ground.
It spread rapidly beneath the entire room and beyond, filling every corner with the same light as more power continued building within it.
Lucien then walked over toward the balcony to get a look for himself at what they were dealing with.
Below on street level, three armored vehicles had pulled up in front of the casino entrance.
Several uniformed personnel stepped out from them and fanned out across the area.
One officer barked orders loudly, "Spread out and make sure no one leaves this premises!"
This was Annette, a high-ranking officer of the Imperial Guard. She had a black patch on her right eye, and wore the formal uniform with gold trim and red accents, her long black hair flowing behind her as she moved confidently forward.
She pulled her blade free from its sheath with a grin spreading across her face. "I’ve always wanted to take down these scumbags."
Lucien stared down at them from above for a few seconds without a change to his expression.
Annette’s crimson eyes shifted upward suddenly as though sensing his gaze on her from above and their eyes met for just an instant.
Then Lucien turned away without a word and stepped back into the room behind him.
Martina had a somewhat strained expression on her face as she maintained control over the massive spell she was channeling.
"The spell is ready," she said through gritted teeth.
Lucien nodded and took a few more steps forward into the center of the magic circle alongside her and the rest of his gathered League members.
Right then, Annette had already begun running up along the wall of the casino building as though gravity meant nothing.
