My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 113: Fitzgerald (Bonus)
Ethan sighed and waved his hand dismissively as though trying to brush the topic aside.
"Not myself exactly," he muttered. "Tch... it’s a long story, Perc. I’ll tell you about it later."
Percival noticed Isabella had no shocked reaction on her face as well.
"Wait... you don’t look shocked, Princess. You knew this too?"
Isabella gave an awkward expression but didn’t deny it outright either.
Percival threw both hands up dramatically toward Ethan now. "Come on! Why am I always the last to know anything about you, man?"
Ethan shook his head like he wasn’t in the mood for this conversation. "Later, I promise."
Then turned back toward his butler.
Percival shook his head and turned away before fussing more about it.
Eduardo continued speaking, "We can’t say for certain if you or the Princess is the real target since she was the one driving tonight."
He paused, looking thoughtful.
"But she’s also royalty... which also makes me unsure if they would directly target her like that."
Ethan sighed, and after a moment, said; "I won’t have them over my shoulder this way. Do you know who leads the branch of the organization in this country?"
Eduardo nodded. "That would be Lucien Fitzgerald."
Ethan’s eyes widened, and Percival’s reaction was even more vocal. "No fucking way," he said, staring at Ethan with disbelief.
Both Eduardo and Isabella looked puzzled by their sudden reaction.
Ethan turned toward Eduardo and asked, "Would you by chance know if this Fitzgerald family has a crazy son named Dante?"
Eduardo shook his head slightly. "I’m afraid I don’t know much about that family, Master Ethan, except that it is filled with powerful summoners."
"Yup, it’s the same bastard," Percival said with certainty.
Ethan sighed in total exhaustion and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Is there a problem, Master Ethan?" Eduardo asked with some concern.
Ethan shook his head. "Not really, but I may have encountered a crazy member of that family at camp."
Eduardo muttered, "Hm..."
Ethan however continued. "The way I see it, Eduardo, we will have to deal with this Lucien and his group. I will not have myself or the Princess be attacked in this manner again."
Isabella nodded. "I agree."
Percival added as well, "I agree too. They come after my best friend and his woman, they come after me too. So what’s the plan?"
Eduardo raised both hands in a placating gesture. "Slow down. Master Ethan, one has to be smart about going after the League, which includes understanding their rules."
He paused before adding:
"Should Lucien be killed by your hands, you would only be triggering the rule that invites every other member of the organization across the continent, all in search of you. And you will only keep fighting the endless battles that come with it."
Ethan’s face fell at that point. "Fuck..."
"But I do have an alternative," Eduardo said.
Ethan turned back to him and Eduardo continued;
"If this is really by them, then I’ll bear the burden by taking Lucien and his little group out myself. But I might have to leave afterward, Master Ethan, so that I don’t bring you and this house any harm."
"Fuck no," Ethan said immediately without even considering it for a second longer than necessary. "I forbid you from ever doing that, and we are done with that part of the conversation."
"Master Ethan..." Eduardo began, as though trying to protest.
But Isabella, who had been quietly thinking, then spoke. "I may have a better solution."

On another part of the city, within Lucien’s private floor at the Lucky Hand Casino...
Lucien was currently standing infront of a large window with his back turned toward the rest of the room. He held a glass of wine in one hand, swirling it slowly as he stared out at nothing in particular.
Behind him stood Eula and Greta and both women looked tense.
Eula’s usual playful demeanor was nowhere to be found right now, replaced instead by a rare expression of genuine discomfort.
Greta remained as stoic as ever.
Lucien continued, "Tell me again how you both, elite members of the League, are making such stupid mistakes?"
His tone was filled with disgust as he still didn’t bother turning around to face them.
Eula let out a sigh and said, "I’m sorry, Luci. Nothing would have ever made us think he had anything to do with the Princess at the time... we thought it was his butler."
Greta said nothing.
Lucien finally turned his head just enough to glance back at them, then he asked, "Did you blank them out?"
Greta nodded without elaborating further.
Lucien turned back toward the window and took another slow sip from his wine glass before responding, "Good. Because the last thing we need is having to deal with the King too."
He paused for just a moment before adding dismissively, "You both should leave my presence."
Greta nodded and turned on her heel, while Eula hesitated for just a second longer before opening her mouth to speak, "Luci..."
"I’ve given you enough of my time, Eula" Lucien said without even turning around.
Eula’s mouth stiffened as her face revealed his hurtful expression for just an instant before she masked it and turned away as well.
Lucien remained standing by the window after they left, staring out at the city with an unreadable expression on his face.He swirled his wine glass absently in one hand as though lost in thought about something.
Then suddenly, there was a soft chime from behind him as the elevator doors opened once more.
Lucien barely turned his head as he asked "What are you doing here?"
The footsteps kept approaching as someone stepped out from within the elevator car and into Lucien’s private space.
The voice that responded was calm but carried this blunt edge, "Remember when you said that the League has no use for the weak, and I should only come to you when I am ready, Uncle?"
There was a brief pause before whoever it continued, "I am here now. And I am ready."
Lucien didn’t turn around immediately. Instead, he took another sip from his wine glass and stared out at the city for several more seconds in silence.
Then he spoke, "You understand that by doing this, your family will denounce you."
The voice behind him responded without hesitation, "Just like they did to you, Uncle. But I don’t care. I do not deserve to remain family with a bunch of weaklings."
Lucien finally turned around now as his eyes stared at the figure before him. Then slow grin spread across his face.
"Very well... Dante."
