Turning back, Sheryl Lancaster trembled violently under the murderous glare of Titus Quinn, as if the man standing before her was a devil. "You... why did you hit me?"

"Stupid woman, what exactly have you done?" Titus Quinn yanked her in front of him, his large hand gripping her neck, slowly tightening, his deliberately lowered voice filled with malice and fury, "Did they learn anything from you?"

"No... no," Sheryl Lancaster was so terrified she didn’t dare to breathe deeply, stammering, "I just destroyed the old man’s painting, and then Melody Thorne just brought that man over, and without a word, they gave me a sedative that knocked me out."

Though it seemed like she was dreaming, she dreamed Titus Quinn had just returned, he had carried her to the bed, and spoke to her very gently, but she couldn’t remember what he said. Later she seemed to sleep deeply.

"Just a sedative?" Titus Quinn’s gaze shifted to the spot on her arm where the red mark from the injection hadn’t faded.

Sheryl Lancaster looked down, attempting to lift her arm, only to find it felt dead, completely numb.

Suddenly, her face turned as white as powder.

"My arm, what’s happening to my arm? Ah," Sheryl Lancaster screamed, "this isn’t a sedative, they... they didn’t know what drug they injected me with."

Titus Quinn’s grip on her neck gradually loosened. The last time he stayed at the Quinn Family’s residence, Melody Thorne had shown hostility towards him.

Did she perhaps see through something, know he was plotting against Jared Quinn?

"Titus, Titus, you have to save me, quickly get that doctor to help me, isn’t he highly skilled?" Sheryl Lancaster pleaded, "Please take me there, I don’t want to become a disabled woman."

She hadn’t done anything yet, she hadn’t defeated Melody Thorne. She didn’t want to end up worse than Ivy.

Titus Quinn pushed her arm away. With his deep and scheming mind, how could he not see the peculiarity of the situation? They might be testing him.

But regardless of the reason, Sheryl Lancaster was merely a woman he intended to use. Whether she lived or died was of no consequence to him, let alone disrupting his plans because her arm was paralyzed.

"Don’t worry, your arm won’t be useless," Titus Quinn glanced indifferently at Sheryl Lancaster’s arm.

Sheryl Lancaster’s heart turned cold to the core instantly, her eyes fixed on Titus Quinn. She was just a pawn for him to use, and before the game even started, he was already ready to kick her aside!

Melody Thorne walked out of the Quinn Family’s old mansion, not far away a car was parked steadily. The window rolled down, revealing a stern man inside exhaling smoke.

"Jared Quinn," Melody Thorne exclaimed as she ran over, her movement causing the cigarette at the corner of Jared’s mouth to quiver slightly. He immediately extinguished it, opened the back door, and embraced her securely in his arms.

"She was excited to see you," Leon Rivers spoke coolly from behind the two of them.

Now wherever he went, he was tormented by them as if they were toying with a dog.
