My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 446: Only Two Days?
Clearly, he was more injured, yet he was still worrying about that little woman. She was being taken care of and wasn’t in any trouble.
Outside the hospital.
A black car had just pulled up, and the man inside was staring through the window at the woman who had just been taken away by another man.
There was a deep intensity in his gaze.
Titus Quinn lazily leaned back in his seat. He had always suspected that Melody Thorne might be Jared Quinn’s most fatal weakness. Today, he truly witnessed it.
A man nearly wasted his own hand to save a woman; if that’s not a fatal flaw, what is?
"Jared Quinn, what I have endured, you will experience as well!"
For several days, Jared Quinn didn’t show up, but the butler kept calling, saying Timmy was throwing tantrums every day and recently didn’t even want to eat, insisting she must come back at once.
Melody Thorne asked the butler to send Timmy over to her, but the butler adamantly refused, insisting she come back to see Timmy.
The week Caleb mentioned had already passed, yet he still hadn’t been released by Jared Quinn.
She was genuinely worried that the Seymour Family might hear of this and become enemies with the Quinn Family, which would be no different from declaring war.
Quinn Villa.
As soon as Melody Thorne entered the hall, a little bundle tightly hugged her, refusing to let go. The usually aloof Timmy at this moment appeared particularly weak and pitiful, like a child without parents.
"You’ve abandoned me; you’ve abandoned me!" Timmy clung to Melody Thorne, arms and legs wrapped around her, terrified that she would leave the moment he let go.
Days had passed with her absence.
Melody Thorne felt a pang of sympathy for Timmy. She didn’t want this either, but Jared Quinn refused to release Caleb, and if she returned now, Jared would be even less likely to let him go.
"Be good, Timmy. How about I discuss with Jared Quinn later to let you come to stay with me on the weekends?"
Timmy looked up, his small face full of dissatisfaction. He wasn’t pleased with this answer, not at all.
"I want to see you every day. I want to eat the food you cook. I want you to hold me when I sleep."
Melody Thorne said, "... there are some things now that make it impossible for me to come back, at most you can come over for two days."
Who knows if Jared Quinn would even agree to these two days?
"Only two days?" Timmy continued to pout.
"Be good." Melody Thorne kissed his small face, then placed him on the floor and looked at the butler. "Where is Jared Quinn?"
"Master Jared is upstairs," the butler responded quickly, eager to let her go upstairs immediately.
"I’m going to talk to him." Melody Thorne headed upstairs, her knee still aching, causing her to move slowly.
The door to the study clicked open.
Harold Chapman and Leon Rivers walked out. Upon seeing her, they paused slightly but quickly returned to their normal demeanor.
"Handle Crestfall as I’ve arranged," Jared Quinn’s voice emerged from inside.
Melody Thorne looked in the direction of the voice, and Jared Quinn’s alluring and handsome face came into her view.
He seemed to have gone a few days without shaving, with a faint hint of stubble on his chiseled chin. It also seemed like he hadn’t been sleeping well for days, given the shadows in his eye sockets.
Melody Thorne stopped, and Jared Quinn’s gaze just happened to fall on her. His deep, dark eyes were calm and detached, scrutinizing her small face and scanning her from head to toe. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Her knee injury was still blue and swollen, so Melody Thorne wore long sleeves and pants.
