My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 401: Isn’t That a Bit Too Weak?
"Did Jared just take that woman away?" several people in the crowd exclaimed.
"What’s her identity, and why does Jared want to take her away?"
"She seems like a newcomer who’s just entered the entertainment industry, right?"
"Mom," Rochelle Thorne stomped her foot in frustration, "look, look, they’re already walking so blatantly together, and you’re still not planning to cut ties and tell everyone she’s an impostor? Even the engagement with the Quinn Family is fake."
"Rochelle, she was Mom’s child too back then. Why can’t you just get along?" Mrs. Thorne was already somewhat exhausted, especially when she saw the restrained look in Melody Thorne’s eyes just now.
She felt particularly uncomfortable in her chest. If Melody had just said something to Jared Quinn, he wouldn’t have let Rochelle off. She could see it clearly.
Melody Thorne is a very sensible child, and in some ways, her personality is somewhat like my own.
"Mom, back then is back then. You have to remember, now I’m your child, no matter what I want, you’ve already helped me get it." Rochelle Thorne unwillingly retracted her gaze. "Besides, this position rightfully belongs to your daughter, me."
"Rochelle..." Mrs. Thorne wanted to persuade her daughter further.
"Alright, it’s settled. I must take back what rightfully belongs to me." Rochelle Thorne snorted coldly.
Mrs. Thorne sighed, unsure if coming back this time was right or wrong, but she honestly had no memories of before.
"Miss, you can pay now," the man who had pretended to be a passerby and bumped into Rochelle Thorne and Melody Thorne approached a woman.
The woman was dressed in tight black clothes and pants, her graceful curves very enchanting, and her bright red lipstick was especially eye-catching, her arrogant expression full of disdain as she withdrew her gaze from the scene just now.
She casually tossed a thick stack of bills to the man in front of her, saying coldly, "Scram."
"Yes, yes, I’ll scram immediately, immediately."
"Is that the person Caleb found from the Seymour Family?" the woman snorted disdainfully again. "Why does she not look like someone from our Seymour Family at all? Taking her back would just make us a laughing stock. She can’t even handle a woman bullying her; that’s way too weak."
Anyone from the Seymour Family isn’t easy to mess with; really makes you doubt if her bloodline is genuine.
"Miss Stella, you’re right," a man standing slightly bowed behind the woman responded respectfully. "She indeed can’t compare to your wisdom and valor, she’s a bit too weak."
"She’s not just weak, she’s pitifully weak. Grandpa would be very disappointed to see this, might as well not have found her!"
"Yes, Miss, you’re right, but this matter is the responsibility of young master Caleb, we shouldn’t interfere. How about we head back first?"
"Go back? I’m not done playing yet, why go back? I want to see just how weak that woman can get. Maybe if something interesting happens, I’ll send it to Grandpa to take a look." Stella Seymour curled her lips, her gaze falling in the direction of where Melody Thorne had left.
Tsk tsk, that name is horrendous.
Melody Seymour...
Heh, sounds like a pet’s name.
...
All along the way, Jared Quinn’s expression was colder than ice, his entire being radiating anger, especially upon seeing Melody Thorne being pushed down the stairs and still having to suffer in silence.
Since when could his people be bullied so casually?
