Chapter 235: Chapter 235: Consumed by Rage

"Melody, will you come back and keep me company?" Timmy’s voice was a bit pitiful. "I don’t want to sleep alone."

The main thing was that sleeping cuddled by Melody Thorne felt particularly wonderful.

"Timmy, you go back to your room and wait for me first," Melody Thorne got up from the bed and put on her clothes.

"Okay, I’ll wait for you to come back," Timmy added deliberately, afraid she wouldn’t return.

"Okay," Melody Thorne hung up the phone, got dressed, and grabbed her car keys.

She was making a call to the butler while driving, and it kept ringing without anyone answering.

Thinking about the butler’s anxious voice she heard at the hospital today, she was already a bit flustered, so she called Dr. Mo at the hospital, but he too didn’t answer.

Melody Thorne found Dr. Mo’s office was empty. She searched the entire second floor and hardly saw anyone, suddenly feeling something was amiss.

Third-floor VIP ward area, Melody Thorne reached the staircase and happened to hear the butler and Dr. Mo talking.

"Dr. Mo, how is young master? Why hasn’t he woken up?" It’s been an afternoon already, would this get more dangerous if it continues,

if the old master calls at this time, it will really be terrible,

"Being left in such a cold room for so long, even a god would freeze to death, let alone a man. Didn’t you see how his wounds have already become so inflamed? Yet you let him stay inside for more than ten hours, he’s bound to be worn out by you people," Dr. Mo couldn’t help but scold with his normally good temper.

"Frozen like that and infuriated to this extent, with anger surging in his heart, he’s human, not a god. Now with a high fever, how can he wake up so quickly? I’m just puzzled, how could a fine person be tormented by you like this?"

Jared Quinn has lived over twenty years, and it’s always been him troubling others, never the other way around.

The butler sighed, whispering helplessly, "Doesn’t everyone have a nemesis?"

In the past, the young master hadn’t encountered anything like this, but now he has.

"You mean that woman," Dr. Mo furrowed his brow. He’d heard recently that Jared Quinn had pampered that woman immensely, and even if he had treated her poorly before, hadn’t he made up for it by now?

Why can’t these two just be together properly, instead of tormenting each other like this?

"Who else but the young madam," the butler inexplicably felt a bit sorry for his young master.

Footsteps came from the stairway. The butler turned to look, his expression changing a few times, "Young madam, you’re here."

Melody Thorne went up, having already realized that Jared Quinn was now in a coma.

"I’m going in to see him."

"Wait," Dr. Mo blocked her, "Young madam, you should go back and wait. You don’t care about him anyway, he’ll probably wake up by tomorrow."

"Yes, yes, young madam, you should go back first," the butler’s expression changed, as if hiding something, also blocking her way.

Melody Thorne squinted, convinced there was something wicked or deceitful between these two.

"Do you believe that when he wakes up, I’ll tell him you harassed me?"

Butler: "..."

Dr. Mo: "..."

Inside the ward came a woman’s voice, "Jared, you need to wake up. That woman isn’t worth it. I’ll be here taking care of you, and I know one day you’ll see my worth. Even if in the future I can only be a nominal girlfriend by your side, I’m willing."
