My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 234: Parting Ways
"Melody, have you seen the news? You better take a look, something big has happened."
Kiki Sutton is most worried about the relationship between Melody Thorne and Jared Quinn, fearing she might get into trouble.
"I’ve seen it," Melody Thorne calmly started speaking.
"Are you okay?"
"I’m fine."
Kiki Sutton finds it hard to believe. In the past, if something happened between Melody Thorne and Jared Quinn, Melody Thorne would definitely cry. How can she act like nothing’s wrong after such a big incident?
"Melody, where are you? Why don’t we meet up?"
"No, I’ve got some things to handle." As soon as Melody Thorne finished speaking, Kiki Sutton’s agent’s voice came through the phone,
"Going out, going out, without looking at yourself to see if you have any time to go out. If you were as obedient as other artists, you wouldn’t end up like this now. You might have already been famous."
The woman’s voice inside was both sharp and mean.
Melody Thorne didn’t wait for Kiki Sutton to speak and hung up the phone, saving her some face.
She returned to the Thorne Family, where she hadn’t been for a long time. The door, already covered with dust, was somewhat old. The second floor had a princess room specially built for her by Mr. and Mrs. Thorne when they were around.
It was also at her own request. She said Jared Quinn was a prince, so she wanted to be a princess worthy of him.
Many things inside had been tampered with, especially a lot of valuable items that had mysteriously disappeared. Without asking, she knew it had something to do with her dear second uncle.
Melody Thorne narrowed her eyes and sent out a text message.
[Second Uncle, it seems there have been thieves at my home recently. Now I have nothing left except the Thorne Family. I hope Second Uncle can take good care of it, so I’m not left with nothing, and won’t be desperate enough to take evidence from back then directly to the judicial bureau, right?]
Terence Thorne felt like strangling her when he saw Melody Thorne’s text message. If she hadn’t married into the Quinn Family back then, how could she be so arrogant here?
[I’ll look into this matter]
[Second Uncle better hurry, because I don’t know when I’ll be desperate enough]
Melody Thorne coldly put away her phone and walked to her bedroom, sorting through the things she used to use, including many items she bought intending to give to Jared Quinn, which he didn’t want, along with those she didn’t dare to give him before.
She packed a whole box, planning to destroy or throw it in the trash bin.
Tired from packing, Melody Thorne went into the bathroom, took a shower, and slept for the afternoon.
When she woke up, there were over ten missed calls on her phone; some from the butler, others from the villa.
Then, another call came from the villa.
Melody Thorne pressed answer but didn’t speak, given she and Jared Quinn had just had a fight, almost ending things completely.
"Mel," Timmy’s voice came from inside.
"Timmy?"
"You said you would come back to spend the afternoon with me, but you didn’t come back?" Timmy sounded a bit resentful. "I waited for you the whole afternoon, and now it’s past eight in the evening, and you’re still not back. I’m so scared. There’s only me in the villa, the butler isn’t here, and Dad isn’t here either."
"They’re all not there?" Melody Thorne furrowed her brows and glanced at the time. It’s already past eight in the evening, and even if Jared Quinn had something urgent and couldn’t return to the villa, the butler should have been back by now.
